To everyone saying to burn the forest down, the fog in the lost woods means its very humid and would be very difficult to ignite so a fire would quickly go out.

For those who say that Hylians could just burn everything... know it that would not be possible. The Dekus inhabit marshes and other humid places, this makes extremely difficult to start a forest fire. In real life is almost impossible to a swamp to catch fire. Aside from the consequences of this tatic, since the destruction of the forest could cause the wrath of other beings inhabiting it (such as Kokiris and Skull Kids), who would possibly ally with the Dekus to defeat the Hylians

The dekus are the Ugandan Knuckles of Hyrule, they attack their enemies by spitting

The hylians also have huge knowledge and sometimes pieces of the Triforce, plus they have the frickin legendary Hero himself at their side :o

I think that it makes sense why you used the deku king as their leader but in most games it’s usually more the deku tree.

A vulnerability of hyrule citys is that they have a reliance on outside farms for food. You would not need to storm the citys just starve them out in a siege.

If the hylians didn’t just burn down the forest I feel like it would come down to how fast the dekus can grow before their ready to fight. Because if they can be grown really quickly they could win the long term fight by just having a consistent fighting force while the hylians would slowly lose their forces over time.

A few more Hylian advantages are allies as the Dekus would only have potentially children while the Hylians have the Zoras & Gorons. The bombs would destroy the Dekus too and the Hylians would get aid from the Great Fairies

This video doesn't take into account the Deku Likes, Baba Serpents, Big Babas, Diababa, or Deku Toad from Twilight Princess, however. Assuming that normal deku babas would be allied with the scrubs, you might want to consider the combat strength of the other, more formidable monsters.

So far the only thing that has taken down hyrule castle was Zant. Calamity Ganon attacked from inside the castle so it's not hard to take it down from the inside compared to getting past all the defenses outside the castle.

I think the Deku could have done a lot in BOTW. The Baba could have been deadly enemies that deal a lot of damage and can catch you off guard as they could disguise as a collectable plant or vegetable. Also there could have been a friendly race with their own devine beast and from them you could get a stealth ability.

Many of the abilities you attributed to the Hylians are mostly unique powers only a select few actually possess or are granted via one-of-a-kind artifacts. Besides, you forget that the Hylians, though armoured from head to toe, are (for the most part) spineless, and that the Deku also have a level-headed princess that can keep the king in line.

Like they could have the ability to create plants to any size that they wanted and create living plant creatures to do the champions bidding and they would have full control overall of the plant they would grow and they could fight with a dagger. Honestly the deku arnt that strong. A single hyln could wipe out a dosen easly. If it were to come to a war then the deku would lose do to loseing too many people. Also id like to say terma cant be used for this do to it being an alternet dymision that most in the seres dont even know about.

The hylians can’t teleport, or perform super human stunts, or use magic. Only link can. he could only teleport with the ocarina of time. (which he only had for 2 games) link could only pull off some super human abilities with a special gauntlet. link could only use magic because of the items he collected and the fact he had the triforce of courage. Again, only Zelda can speak telepathically and use magic because she is GODDESS REINCARNATE.

Guys i have a theory you know Sir Raven from the oracle of ages in thr manga(dont know if hes in the game) but my theory is that Raven is OoT link i mean think about it Ravens backstory is he was a wondering swordsman after Oot Link became a wandering swordsman and Ravens hairstyle is the exact same as OoT link and to further back this up Sir Raven is an ancestor of the oracle of ages Link but i dont know id like to see Dr.Wily do a video on this so hopefully he sees this

I love thinking about indepth war in the Zelda Universe. It's just so varied and complicated, with all the counters and advantages creating a web of warfare.

If the Deku's can control the Diababa boss from Twilight Princess, or even better yet, create more of them to use in war, then automatically the Deku's win! But if the Hyrulians had the Aid of Link, then automatically the Hyrulians win. Although, more realistically I could see the Deku's using the Diababa because the war would have to take place within Links life time and he would have to be destined to fight in the war, which are both massive uncertainties. (If the Deku's could create or control Kalle Demos's as well then that would be another Automatic win for the Deku's lol)

If they ended up in battle. Hylians just need fire arrows and use them on the deku. Battle over in about ten minutes

The Deku Scrub species are very intelligent they can even talk to you normally and sell you stuff, their should be a game where you play as them and you interact with skull kids and korkiri merchants. all of it taking place in the lost woods.

I've seen a theory that Deku is the Hylian word for "Forest" or "Plant" hence Deku Scrub, Deku Nut, Deku Tree, Deku Baba. I don't think the Deku Babas are the same race as Deku Scrubs. It's probably the same with "Blin" meaning something like "monster" as in Bokoblin, Moblin, and Bublin. Stal = skelaton or skull, etc. There's others I'm forgetting.

You should have added allies to the list, can't have a war without allies. (Possible) Hylian Allies: Gorons- Gorons can make powerful weapons and armor, and are highly advanced blacksmiths for their time. However their designs are more fitting for strongly built people, mostly those of their own race. Zoras- Zoras can lead attacks from the water no matter the terrain and can be used for scouting. However they're most effective in deep water and least effective in shallow waters Sheika- The Sheika clan are pretty much the ninjas of Hyrule, making for excellent spies and ambushers. The problem is that so few of them remain, and the only known Sheika allied w/Hyrule is Impa. (Possible) Deku Allies Kokiri- The Kokiri are adaptable and clever, utilizing the environment around them and their knowledge of the forrest to combat oncoming attacks. Their biggest weakness is that they're still children, and can be easily dispatched if their foes have the heart to kill a child. Skull Kids- Just like the Kokiri except more spread out and abroad. They know even the deepest parts of the forrest like the back of their hands, and can set up traps in strategic places without getting lost. They have no known base of operations and can act through a network. They can however get a little cocky and go overboard with playing with their victims. Stalfos/Undead- They litter the entirety of the land, as well as the forrest. If controlled, the undead can be a formidable ally with an immense network. With their ability to spring up out of nowhere and with the underground networks and catacombs to move around in, they can take anyone by surprise. They can never be killed again and just reanimate, however it seems only holy magic in Hyrule can defeat them. Octorocs- Inhabitants of a multitude of aquatic bodies, octorocks can take their opponents by surprise if given the chance. The can work anywhere from the ocean to rivers and small ponds. Given they're a form of cephalopod, they could possibly contaminate Hyrule's water supply with their ink and weaken enemy forces. They can also make for a good counter against the Zoras. However they're easily dispatched when their projectiles are deflected at them, and their armored bodies make for a slow movement speed.

While I do agree with almost all of your points, there is one thing you missed. THE DEKU BASES ARE IN FORESTS. YOU CAN BURN THEM.

Question, why did you not include the bubbles that the deku can shoot? Is it only link who can do that? I think that they would give them an advantage, the bubbles can kill most enemies, at least in the first half of majora’s mask pretty easily.

I always the hylians we're just humans with pointy ears because they aren't even short like elves with, but I guess now that you mention it, maybe they aren't. Or they are just regular humans with pointy ears, who learned magic, like any other race in the Zelda games can! Literally the only difference is their ears 😂

When all the deku are out of the forest or swamp, block the locations, and keep in mind that deku flowers can't launch scrubs that high, and the princess can fight using her magic! Link is the most effective force against them, he has Din's Fire, as does Zelda, and he can use fire arrows to burn them! Also keeping in mind he can turn into a deku lets him get close to the base, killing the leader, sending the other Deku running, as they no longer have a leader.

War...war never changes. The Hylians would just burn the Dekus down. The technological disparity is like bringing the Death Star to a knife fight.

If the Deku Kingdom were to appear in Hyrule, one would think Princess Zelda and the Deku Princess would perhaps be moderating forces on both sides.

A lot of what you said the hylians can do I'm pretty sure only link did. And I always thought he could only do those things cause his equipment was magic. Like lifting shit cause his golden gauntlets and the song working only cause they were played on the ocarina

A lot of the things you say the Hylians have are just something that only like .1% of the access too. AKA Link and the Royal family, and most of them are through legendary artifacts.

The Hylian could storm the swamp and use small boats with light armoured troops with bows and spears the bow men would shoot fire arrows into the deku palace But the dekus can rain the flash Bombs on them then the Hylians would have to make a makeshift roof with thier shields while they storm the palace the deku nuts Would have a hard time holding them back the Hylian would shoot arrows and kill the deku nuts they would have no choice but to retreat to the lost woods where the Hylian would build barrakades on every known entrance to trap the deku then the Hylian can build outposts by the lost woods to prevent a wall breach

You've done one on one race wars but what would happen if a between multiple races were to occur For example what if all the humanoids were to face the combined might of the Gorons Zoras Rito Deku and other sentient races

So in other words a draw at best unless either side was provoked enough to take drastic measures.

Fire magic for one, for two the lost woods kokirie and the hyleans are friends so the kokirie can aid in not getting lost also the power of the triforce hyleans are far more powerful than you gave them credit for, for example they took out the desert colossus alongside the gerudo and the gerudo have a lost woods type area and they did this in lore in fact from oot to tp this was a war that existed

i believe the war would just come into a stalemate they just wouldn't be able to touch each other so it would likely result in them just signing a peace treaty since they can't be bothered to finish the war
