We need to admit that Ghirahim is one of the best villains in Zelda ever. He's so charismatic and unique that there's barely others that can stand out as he did.

I honestly love Ghirahim as a villain, he had such a vibrant personality as an enemy it just made me excited to see him every time he appeared in Skyward.

I do feel Ghiraham would win, mostly because he’s able to keep his cool more. He is able to read attacks and teleport when needed, as well as become nearly invincible. I do think that the randomness of Zant would throw Ghiraham for a loop, but in the end he would win.

Ghirahim, Zant and Majora are hands down the best villains in the entire series. I really hope that Nintendo creates a new villain like Zant or Ghirahim again in future games

In the end Ghirahim is the sharper swordman and sorcerer between the two.

If Link is the ONLY ONE who can wield the Goddess Sword, and the Master Sword, why can Ghirahim, take and use it?

Ghirahim would win! He is much older, much more experienced and in my opinion he is even smarter. In the opposite to Zant he is totally able to control his powers. Zant himself doesn't seem like he is much in fighting, also because the Twili are a magical tribe and are counting more on strong magic than 1-on-1 combat. Ghirahim as Demises servant had also demonical magic powers and also is a talented sword fighter. That's just my opinion..

a few things you missed in Zant's favor: Link's Master Sword got buffed to an extreme level before fighting Zant. Enemies that would normally take 15 hits can die in one because of the buff. As such, Zant has MASSIVE health compared to Girahim (although no armor) Zant can fly. Girahim cannot. Zant can also teleport far more often than Girahim ever could. Overall mobility is far greater, he can move reliably faster than Girahim. Girahim's armor isn't invincible, and supposedly if Zant were to shoot him enough in the chest, it could break. Zant could exploit his forest temple battle by staying in the air and shooting Girahim in the chest forever, because Girahim lacks the gale boomerang. Zant is also proven to be able to dodge any projectile going slower than Link's arrows, and all of Girahim's projectiles go far slower than that. I'm not saying Zant would win, I'm saying he's more powerful than you're giving him credit for.

Ghirahim is honestly my favorite villain in the series. He's straightforward, fair, and flamboyant. He also serves as a great measure of your progress, I mean you fight him three times in the game. And unlike the other boss you fight three times (the imprisoned) he's fun to fight and a fair challenge.

I think zant has the power to beat ghirahim, but he doesn’t have the experience/knowledge of how to use his power to beat him for good.

Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword were both a big part of my childhood, so this brings back a lot of memories.

Zant relies on completely dominating the opponent with sheer power. If he can't absolutely dominate them, he will lose. Ghirahim is one such enemy.

Girahim would be confused in the first seconds, so that means the end depends on how fast Zant is. If Zant manages to kill Girahim in the first seconds, Zant wins, but if Zant takes tol long, Girahim wins.

Yessss!!!!! Ghirahim is absolutely the best at fighting against pretty much anyone, maybe even Demise. He’s got so much strength in his one finger it makes you wonder how strong it would be if he went full out.. I mean, the first battle you ever do with him he said he was actually holding back, if that tells you anything, I think that just makes it even more obvious of how incredibly powerful he is. I absolutely love our Lord Ghirahim and he deserves to win in any versus like this! I love Zant as a character, but there’s no way he’d win against Ghirahim!

I think Zant would win, with his unpredictable “patterns”, and he could just create scenarios where it is impossible for Ghirahim to win, and the only reason Link could beat him is because of his items which Ghirahim does not have. Also, Link could not actually kill Zant, it was only Minda with the power of the Fused Shadow that could kill him.

I appreciate the thought you put into this video! I, however, slightly disagree and here's why: 01. Melee Combat Skills: Yes, Ghirahim is the better swordsman and melee fighter in general by a large margin. However, ask yourself this? How does Link beat Ghirahim? It's by being unpredictable. In Skyward Sword, you have to fool him with which direction Link's sword will attack from. In fact, in every one of their encounters, Link is victorious only by being unpredictable. Zant is extremely unpredictable in his combat. There's no rhyme or reason and he teleports at random from any point on the map. If catching Ghirahim off guard is how you beat him, then Zant would absolutely pull this off. If anything, his unpredictability is very much a match for Ghirahim! Winner: Zant 02. Magical Powers: Both Zant and Ghirahim ultimately are as powerful as they are thanks to to their masters, Ganon and Demise, respectively. Both have their magic thanks to them. However, I'm giving this one to Zant as well. Sure, if you only look at their boss fights, then Ghirahim seems to have a few more moves than Zant, but think about their roles in each game for a moment. Ghirahim can armor plate his body, but that's about the extent to which magic does anything for him. Throughout the game he is struggling to keep up, always on the heels of Zelda and Impa. Other than confronting them directly, he can't do much of anything to stop them. Now, let's look at Zant. Zant is powerful enough to capture Hyrule and subjugate both Zelda and her people at the beginning of Twilight Princess. Not only that, but he is able to erect a massive shield that renders the entirety of Hyrule Castle impenetrable! That alone is extremely impressive! He is able to curse Midna, turning her into an imp. In direct confrontation with Link, he is able to defeat both him and Midna without even engaging them in any kind of melee...the list goes on. Winner: Zant 03. Combat Strategies: Zant's idea of combat strategy is pretty to surprise and disorient the enemy. Wether it's an unexpected siege of Hyrule Castle, appearing unexpectedly to seize the element of surprise, or warping the environment to his will. Ghirahim, on the other hand, is much more straightforward. Sure, he can appear suddenly, and does throughout Skyward Sword. Yet, this is always followed by a lengthy monologue detailing his frustrations. At the end of said monologue, he challenges Link to a duel where he proceeds to toy with him. Ghirahim isn't looking for the element of surprise. If he does have it, he'll quickly announce his presence and then proceed to tell you how he's going to beat you within an inch of your life. Ghirahim is definitely the better duelist of the two, but his combat strategy isn't very good at all. In fact he's so vain and self obsessed, that he can't help but alert his enemy to his presence! Winner: Zant 04. Health And Stamina: This one isn't all that close to be honest. Zant is plenty resilient. Before claiming the Master Sword, Link can't even touch Zant. Whereas he can contend with Ghirahim. Although, Ghirahim is just toying with him and chooses to leave Link alone for the time being. So the real question is this: which of these two combatants have the health and stamina to hold their own against Link with the Master Sword? Well, Zant is defeated in only battle with the Master Sword. Ghirahim, on the other hand, is able to hold out against two encounters with Link, and even then is not actually completely defeated by him. Zant, on the other hand, after facing the Master Sword is able to be popped like a balloon by Midna. So yeah, coupling all of this with the fact that Ghirahim has the ability to make parts of his body armored, and therefore indestructible, only goes to prove that Ghirahim has more health and stamina even when going up against the Sword Of Evil's Bane! Winner: Ghirahim With a score of three to one... Final Winner: Zant

I love Ghirahim, I adore him, really. Of course I wanted him to win, and part of me thought at the very beginning when the categories were laid out, "Oh, these should all go to Ghira. If they don't, then its total BS." But for them all to actually go to him, now I just feel bad for Zant. Like, if there was a good argument for Zant winning 1 of them, I would have bought it. I guess, at the end of the day, all I can say is this. Ghirahim is amazing and beloved, so Nintendo why don't we have any merch of him?

As someone who is trained in fighting, I was taught that being unpredictable is good but it can be hard to be unpredictable sometimes. It depends on who your fighting mostly

You forgot one thing about Ghirahim. His strongest attack, the most feared attack of all, the one that sends you running... The slap (yes, he litterally slaps you if he disarm you and your sword is on the ground)

By you cannot forget that Zant's powers are his own mixed with Gannondorf's and all we know about his power is that is uses twilight and is weaker than the ones used in the boss fight.

it would make sense for Ghirahim to beat Zant in a battle. of course, he's powerful, but he's more of a manipulator and a politician than a fighter anyway. I'd say that Zant, despite being pretty insane, is in return likely more intelligent than Ghirahim, being a royal advisor and all. if he was less of a complete maniac and had more control over his powers, it'd be different, but as midna said- he didn't become king because their elders were afraid that kind of power could drive him insane because he wasn't mentally strong enough for it

Zant would win this. He really only lost his cool against Link because his entire plan had just collapsed in on it's self. This not being a factor here means he would likely keep his cool much better and be more like how he is the rest of the game. The major thing he has over Ghirahim is his magic just being way above anything Ghirahim has. His sword play can really only go so far when Zant can just keep well out of his range or just reality warp and dump Ghirahim under water like he does in his fight and leave him to drown or quite literally stomp on him like his 5th phase. Whilst he isn't going to win a sword fight, his magic is so much more powerful that it puts him really over anything Ghirahim has.

Just as a curious fact, it wasn't mentioned in the magic section, but here are two other things Zant and Ghirahim can do (they don't really affect the outcome). Ghirahim can cast minions into the battlefield and from what can be seen in SS he can cast a small army of them and a variety of them. Zant can project himself and face the enemy without facing real damage, in this form he can cast enemies as well, but they're very weak and are used more as support for his attacks. Poor Zant has no chance against the Demon Lord, even in casting enemies Ghirahim mops the floor with him. The only way for Zant to have some chance against Ghirahim would be if he composes himself and fights smart with his magic to manipulate the terrain and constantly throw Ghirahim off guard.

When talking about their powers he missed out a few Zant was able to resurrect Stallord so he was able to perform some form Necromancy and Ghirahim conjured the tornado that brought Zelda to the surface so he has some form of elemental powers
