In today's Europa Universalis IV (EU4 1.36 King of Kings) video we will be checking out a mod that introduces the Holy Roman Empire to France, changing it into the Holy Frankish Empire, with Germany a bunch of disunited small states. Drew did a video on a mod like this years ago but a lot has changed since then, so let's see how it looks now!

I kinda wish they renamed france franconia or just paris and they did some more parallels like Normandy was in pu with england like hungry and austria, the Reformation began as reform in France and Brittany was more like the Bohemia of the hfe

In my current CK3 playthrough this is exactly what is happening. The HRE formed in france instead of germany :P

Invert all historic rivalries and friendships. All historic rivalries get allied at start. (Make sure to have code that disables mission claims pr at least not give a CB. Then make all historic allies get perma claims on each other.

I would love these mods but they don't change enough stuff. Without the HRE Poland would dominate much more. HRE was what was stopping polish expansion in the west for hundreds of years.

@@Chewbert That is very arrogant of you. It is known fact Poland seized Silesia and more than likely do so again. If Prussia didn't become tied to Brandonberg and the Germans did not have a strong defense through their mutual union (which is what the HRE served) against the West Slavs, they would had been conquered by them. And then as the West Slavs declined the East Slavs would had conquered them expanding Russia to the Rhine.

@@sagittariusa7662 my man. It didn't happen. We have no idea how it would have gone, because there are so many factors that go into the course of history. We can speculate, but there's nothing we can be sure of.
