"Doggerbank" refers to an ancient country/area dating back thousands of years when the UK was still connected by land to the rest of Europe. A large landmass connected Southeast UK to what is now the Northernmost tip of France, Netherlands, Belgium, and Northwest Germany. This massive area was called doggerland. After ice caps melting and possibly a big tsunami, most of doggerland was gone, except for a tiny bit of the mountainous area, which became and island disconnected from the UK and the rest of Europe. Eventually, after thousands of years and rising sea levels Doggerland, now Doggerbank, flooded completely. It is suspected that inhabitants of the area fled to England or France, though some probably stuck it out till the end. I'm not sure why this mod has Doggerbank where the UK is, but it's close enough.

Awesome video If you're curious about the ocean tile names, they're historically based: Dogger Bank is a realworld region, its the shoals in the southern part of the North Sea, so its name is pretty much spot-on. Tyne (pronounced similar to time) is the name of a great river that flows through Northern England (Newcastle's full name is "Newcastle upon Tyne" and the region is called "Tyne and Wear" after the two rivers). Firth of Forth is the name for the large bay area next to Edinburgh. "Firth" is the Scottish term for a coastal area along the east coast, and "Forth" is the river that flows from the highlands to the sea through said firth. Firth of Moray is the firth north of Scotland that looks like someone took a giant bite out of the land.

One of the things that hindered the British here is the fact that everything around them was unknown, they had to develop several levels of technology in order to pick the exploration focus and start discovering their surroundings. If they had started with a full map of the region known to them their expansion would have begun much sooner.
