An Endoscopic Lumbar Laminotomy is a minimally invasive spine procedure that offers an alternative to a traditional or open Laminotomy. It is probably the least invasive surgery for effective treatment of spinal stenosis.
The lamina is part of the bony arch of the vertebra that protects the spinal cord from damage. Almost every one of us will experience spinal degeneration and have spinal stenosis, meaning narrowing of spinal canal from fattening (hypertrophic) spinal ligaments, bone spur (facet arthritis), or bulging or herniations with osteophytes. Spinal canal narrowing will put pressure on the spinal nerves, it can cause back pain that radiates down the lower leg, along with other symptoms.

Never ever go to surgery first. Try every single thing under the sun, even if it takes years just try everything but surgery. Only do surgery as an absolute last resort if everything else fails

Exactly.. I made the mistake years ago, worked labor with a nicotine pouch In my mouth with several herniated discs fully compressing the central canal til the day I went under the knife.. 3 level laminectomy at 23 years old. Had no idea about anything, all I knew was that I wasn’t allowed to have pain pills, regardless of having rare congenital conditions.. ruined my life.. atleast I get some pain meds now but its still not enough.

@@kasunsenavirtahna2782 go to a family doctor, do not go to a surgeon. Ask the physician if you are a candidate for an mri. If you get mri then you can come up with treatment plan, likely physical therapy, chiropractic, a form of a chiropractic called “non surgical spinal decompression” which I highly recommend if you have not had a surgery yet. If you have had a surgery, go to a physician, get some pain meds, some prescription anti inflammatory, there’s nothing that will make it totally better, but there are things that can improve your quality of life. Go to therapy, play video games, don’t be hard on yourself.

@@rosanaortega1241 I’m sorry you’re suffering so bad, are you talking to the doctor or office who did your surgery? Did they give you painkillers? in a few weeks I’m going to a new pain management doctor and hopefully he’ll do something , I’m going to see about a pain pump

The part removed was designed that way to support stability, obviously needs replacement or it will fail eventually through pain or literally break down

@@warrior353jeansguerrero8I'm currently over 1 week into post op. The pain relief has been significant. I can move my legs like I never could without triggering all that much pain. I don't say completely because I'm still in the healing stages as the area was cut open and all that so inflammation is still high around that area which is why I'm feeling a little bit of leg pain still. It will take many months to start actually noticing the benefits of this surgery but even this early on, I can tell it worked because the pain was intense and constant for me.

Listen 🎶 Football players need this in Colorado...... herniated discs 3 and 4 cervical of the neck and 9/10 and 11 herniated disc at the thoracic level back fusion through my abdomen in 1997 I could use some this procedures on my spine ..... New MRI .... Only 3 Tesla here in Colorado are you saying I have to go to where to get this procedure
