Exploratory research, is a type of research design, that is conducted, when the researcher has little, or no prior knowledge, about the research problem, or topic. Its primary purpose, is to explore, and gain, a deeper understanding, of the problem, or phenomenon, under investigation, and, to generate insights, or hypotheses, that can be further tested, in future research.
Exploratory research, is conducted to gain insights, and understandings, into a topic, or issue, that is not well understood.
