Front Assist is a very important piece of driver assistance technology. A camera watches the road ahead and can tell when there’s something in front of you. Radar can tell what the distance to that object is, and whether or not your closing speed is too fast. If the computer decides that you’re probably going to hit it if you don’t take action, it gets to work. In this video we demonstrate how Front Assist works in various scenarios, pointing out its weak and strong points, its limitations and its incredible usefulness. In summary, it’s an invaluable piece of safety technology that we should all appreciate.
