You were one of my favorites from all the seasons! Your Halloween skit was adorable. I was really rooting for you. But I guess its a win for everyone who comes home alive and safe. Great job out there :)
Laughed out loud at the Halloween skit! You are a badass. All of the final few Alone survivors are likable, humble and real people. If not they never make it very far.
You were hubby and my favorite candidate, we were so impressed with your shelter, your humor, ingenuity, and creativity. Such a class act. We would be thrilled to see you on another season! 💙🥰
You were one of the reasons that made this season great! If you feel like you're running out of questions to answer for part two here's some more :) You made a really beautiful shelter and I'm curious if you feel that making an interesting shelter has become a secondary competition between some of you guys? What's the most annoying thing people say or get wrong online? What fishing or hunting regulation do you feel potentially cost you the most? Is there any of the other contestants locations that you wish you would've gotten after seeing the show? Between meeting the others at base camp and watching the show who's journey surprised/impressed you the most? They can't really show how hard you guys work so if you could obtain all of the footage you shot would you like to show something more in depth? If you were armed with two cups of hot coffee how many skateboarders do you think you could defeat in a fight? Did you come back to any major or surprising news story? When you came back to basecamp after tapping what was the first song you listened to? They are doing Alone Frozen near the location you were in what's your thoughts on it?
Thank you for sharing! I think it’s safe to say that you were a favorite of many this season. It’s so interesting to hear that you were worried about your parents and thinking they were coming to give you bad news. As a viewer, you never think of that so it’s interesting to hear you say that. Looking forward to part 2!
We've just watched season 9, which is now showing in Denmark. We (hubby and me) were rooting for you all the time - we thought you were doing a great job, and also seem like such a great person. We smiled when you appologised for your "tantrum" (it was barely noticeable - at least not what we saw). Thank you for being a great contestant and for displaying such positivity and dignity.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. You were totally my favorite to win but I absolutely respect your choice and the reasons behind it (as if you need my approval lol). Anyway, I can't imagine that they wouldn't ask you to return at some point! I was so happy to hear that you were open to the opportunity.
You were definitely my favorite contestant for a lot of reasons - moss house 💚, your humor, articulation and outlook, and the respect and reverence you had for that beautiful stretch of wilderness (to name but a few). ...But the thing that ABSOLUTELY sealed the deal in my eyes was your decision to tap out when you did and walk out under your own power. That takes tremendous self-awareness and responsibility to yourself and your surroundings to do that. So many contestants hold on waaaay past when it's smart to do so, because of pride and ego or fear of failure... a mark of a true expert is when they can humble themselves and make a call like that. Just so much respect for you, especially because of (not in spite of) that decision. Cheers man. Hope to see you take the prize next time!
Appreciate you taking the time to do this, very much enjoyable and informative. So much goes unseen and unknown, it’s nice to get a glimpse into the isolation part of the process. Interesting to hear your struggle with your mind creating unnecessary anxieties around family back home, I’m curious if it was heightened because of the pandemic or losing a parent being one of your bigger fears coming to light. Much appreciated, thank you for sharing. Glad you have your pillow now.
So good to hear more about your experience Adam. I so loved your humility and creativity. And the final grouse and the one you allowed to not be dinner touched me. Thank you for sharing. 💗
just saw season 9 of alone on netflix in my opinion you r the most entertaining contestant to watch bro you live your life to the max with intelligence and humor you r hero to me.
Love your dogs, who takes care of them when you’re gone for months? I really enjoyed your spirit and personality out there. I was genuinely sad when you had to leave…
Me and my partner really enjoyed watching you on Alone and rooting for you! We were so happy to see you make it so far what an accomplishment! It was heartwarming to see you depart on such a positive and spiritual note. Its awesome to hear your personal stories and perspective because so much is cut out that we don’t get to see. Thanks Adam!!
Thank you for sharing this video! My son and I really enjoyed watching your journey, you were one of our favorites. Kudos to you for your openness, vulnerability, and sense of joy and playfulness.
THANK YOU for the chat. You were also one of my favorites. Actually, there was such a strong set of participants this Season that many of us were probably just watching to see who did what.
Just an incredible video, your honest and well articulated answers added so much insight to what has already been a great season of the show. I really appreciate you taking the time to do this, I know I’m not alone in thinking I could listen to you for hours and hours. Really great stuff man.
imo the isolation is the mnst challenging aspect. Viewers don't get it - no books, no distractions whatsoever. So viewers complain about the singing - shows how clueless they really are. Most people don't have two hours of silence in their life in any given day! I could never take the isolation and being in my own head.
You did awesome job out there in Labrador! Moss house was the best shelter. Loved the Halloween skit. I was rooting for you but glad you went out on your own terms and are recovering. Thank for all the cool insights into your experience. Hope you have the opportunity to do it again!
Really enjoyed your insights! So glad you got to have Thanksgiving dinner with your family, and that everyone was okay. Hoping they call you for a future season/spin-off--you are so much fun to watch.
it would be a nice twist to see a competition without the freezing temps. to see who could thrive the most and set up a comfortable and functional camp.
This is excellent, looking forward to Part II! I always feel like the people who grouse (pun intended) about the mental/emotional aspect of isolation miss the whole point of it being an integral part of the experience! You definitely gave me Alan Kay vibes and I’d love to see you on any future seasons/spin-offs. Some participants do workshops/cons with other participants-is that something you’d consider, or is that something that’s already being planned? Regardless, very, very well done, thanks for such a solid season, as well as for the look(s) behind the curtain. Appreciate the accessibility, humility, humor, and continuing to be rad af! \m/ P.S. If you haven’t seen the Kon-Tiki raft in person, it’s a must. Stellar!
Excellent summary of your experience. I really like your use of the tarp. It would have been great if you had been able to build a boat. Did you have a design in mind? Cheers from Alaska
Thanks for sharing this, Adam! Great job this year. Would love to host you as a featured guest on my podcast. You’d be joining former champs Dave McIntyre & Roland Welker in our canon of guests!
That's the reason I can watch Alone, is that it is the realest reality TV out there! I can't stand any of the other reality shows. I don't watch them. I fast forward through the parts of Alone that I get impatient with.
I always wondered whether folks could hear the boats or helicopters. Thanks for the info. Now I'm wondering whether or not you could hear the primal screams of any of the neighboring survivalists. If so, I think a fun little strategy for the next time out is to yell, "woo hoo! I got a frickin' bear! I got me a bear!" That might be demoralizing and/or cause someone to reconsider going into DEEP starvation mode. (j/k)
I was curious as to why you took a tarp as one of your ten items since the producers give you a tarp. Secondly, if a contestant only takes a tarp the producers allow, can you choose the tarp or are you stuck with whatever tarp they give you. Thanks
Can i add you on Facebook if you have an account? I know in your video you mentioned you didn't have any social media accounts but, i'm interested in applying for the opportunity to be a contestant for the Alone TV Show. I'm also from Fayetteville, AR and I really enjoyed and appreciate your perspectives on your experience. I have some questions if you'd be willing to answer some, regarding the sign-up process or what skills would i need to have in order to have a better chance at getting picked. Thanks Adam
