Life will pass you by unless you pay attention.
The capacity to pay attention comes through awareness. Awareness of self and where you are in your life right now. The changes you need are available and your decisions and consistency will determine your mindset and wellbeing. Step up and take responsibility.
Living in a prolonged state of Fight-Flight will lead to a dysregulated nervous system. Often known as low vagal tone, this can lead to feeling anxious, stressed, fearful, vulnerable, worrying and in a constant state of uncertainty and questioning yourself and being overly concerned by the opinions of others. It does not have to be like this. You have an incredible chemical factory within your body that can help balance your nervous system and restore harmony to your mind and body.
You are not alone, and millions of people worldwide feel like you. I was a dynamic CEO and founder of multiple investment firms. During a critically important meeting in 2014, I had a panic attack. Although my nervous system was shutting down, I pushed through the session and kept it quiet. Psychological Safety could not have been further from my mind. I turned to psychology, philosophy, neuroscience and Eastern practices. The last eight years have been in research and academia.
I have a vast amount of free content on RU-vid that I invite you to try. Including multiple guided practices.
I have an excellent 21-day course that you can access at www.justincaffrey.com. The course was $389, and we have discounted it to $79, so everyone can access it! If you want to know more about me, you can email me at justin@yourbottomline.com.

Great analogy. I did not realize the trauma I incurred masking neuro-divergence. At 52 I could not lift a spoon without thinking about it. Reconnecting with my body through vagus nerve stretching and fascia release has been life changing.

Everything is connected. When we live in a world or a body where we see separation, there will always be separation. The minute we understand the interconnectivity of everything, everything changes. Wishing you well Marla. ✅❤️🙏

What if you've passed out before due to syncope so now you're just horrified you're going to do it again and can't tell if it's real or just an anxiety attack

I started watching this video because I had a ptsd panic attack. The past ten years have been a great struggle with my health. I just woke up one day & my stomach had stopped working. I couldn't hold anything down & the suffering was great. It took me a while to figure out what was wrong with me. Eventually I was diagnosed with an incurable illness. Gastroparesis happens when your vagus nerve becomes damaged. The cause was idiopathic, unknown. But my guess it happened as a result of the stress I was already under from other physical & mental health issues. I had to have many feeding tubes over the years. I had watched all my newfound best friends I had made in my support group one by one each lose their lives to this horrifying illness. A very painful slow death. They suffered more than anyone could imagine & it was becoming apparent I would probably be next. Luckily I had some kind of miracle where I started to slowly get better. This morning I woke up feeling exactly how I felt a few years back. Now, I know that stress is something that can set it off. So ironically I'm incredibly stressed about being stressed 😅 I'm not sure why I decided to share this novel on here. I don't ever even leave comments. Suppose to just thank you for your videos. It's much appreciated. Any other videos or suggestions you think may help let me know. So sorry to hear the loss of your son. ❤

Thanks Tara. An incredible story! I share a week mailer, only ever covering one simple topic. I think you would enjoy it. Send me your email address and I will add you to the list. There are so many videos that I think you would enjoy. The best is to start with breathing and simple meditation. Google Justin Caffrey Guided Nasal Breathing and you will get a list. Practice daily. 😃❤️

Honestly is my biggest hurdle as a child I can remember making things up just trying to be liked or loved and at 59 I feel like I have tried every kind of therapy to be honest with myself to no avail I’m still lying to myself and others I feel like time is running out for me I give out all the advice to others and hear myself saying hypocrite 😢

Love the bottle analogy. Those of us who are suffering from a meltdown can relate to that . We are just about coping but our bottle is full to the brim . And all it takes is some innocuous event to overfill the bottle and then all hell breaks out . Always enjoy your pearls of wisdom which mean a lot coming from a person who’s been there and done that rather than someone just talking academically👍

Thanks John. Much appreciated. It also varies; some people hit a creative block or a professional block. Those things that limit us are often as simple as the bottle is too full. I help people reduce the water level and free their mind. Wishing you well. JC ✌️🙏

@@JustinCaffrey true I was just looking at it from my perspective but your right it can hold people back in other ways where their bottle is full to the brim .

Hi Jason the bottle analogy is spot on. Jason if someones Sympathetic is stuck in extreme FIGHT,FLIGHT ( anxiety, nervousness, fear) and start to use vagus nerve stimulators can the symptoms get worse before going into Parasympathetic?
@JustinCaffrey
@JustinCaffrey 2 года назад
In some situations, yes. Start using my nasal breathing meditations. If they feel ok you can incorporate the “hand pressing exercise”.

@@JustinCaffrey Thank you sir for all you do, hope to spend some time with you on way back to NA. I bought one of those external VNS to compliment teachings, but the first 2 times i used it ( 20 minutes, low setting) it triggered the Sympathetic symptoms. If you like, after I use it for a while, I will write a review of the machine for those who follow you.

@@mijf1171 I prefer not to use them unless there is a physiological reason such as a damaged nerve. We have an immense capacity to heal. I never use them in client work, but it may help those who can’t access or afford 1-2-1 support. Let me know how you get on. Thx

@@JustinCaffrey I spent 100000s on stem cells, etc. but no clinic figured out my ANS was completely out of wack. My most recent ANS test showed my SNS score was above 500 and PS score was 10, but even then the Dr., did not say ' lets look at the ANS and no mention of Vagus Nerve. Then met a visiting Dr who told me about the Vagus nerve and then started incorporating your teachings. And due to current $ restrains decided to incorporate this external VNS and you telling that SNS symptoms can get worse before going into PSNS, gives me hope. Btw thank you for being so honest about your history... it is an examole for us to get honest with ourselvs in order to heal.
