Kurtzpel is an upcoming action fighter anime game with MMO elements offering both PvE and PvP gameplay. Start playing Kurtzpel here: bit.ly/2TYvVSd
Kurtzpel is currently in closed beta as it gears up for a release. This beautifully cell shaded game has fast, anime inspired combat where you take on boss encounters or 2v2 pvp battles and at it's core is an anime game. As someone who plays alot of Guild Wars 2 (the combat system features weaponswapping and breakbars on bosses), some of the Dark Souls games and who also happens to be a big fan of anime, this game looks like it would appeal to me alot. Im not too interested in early access but i'll definitely have to check out this game in the future, would've probably missed it entirely if not for this video. Good stuff 👌

It's a weird hybrid of a bunch of games - PvE fights feel more like solo/duo raid boss/dungeon boss fights.. as opposed to Monster Hunter fights though

played since 2 days ago, the animation and combat is pretty interesting indeed. Theres a few key combination to active certain skills that have a high dmg, high risk nature. And The animation reminds me of Breath of the wild aswell. and yeah, the UI is slick aswell

i thought the same thing about Spellbreak, but was kinda let down with the high-cooldown, kinda meh mobility. Does KurtzPel do mobility exceptionally well? And i was also wondering how many types of karma are there?

@@AnthonyKeydel no mobility is bad in pve. Long 10+ second cc combos you cant get out of, hitboxes for attacks feel bullshit etc it just doesn't feel good.

@Weiss Des Sign up for the closed beta and try it out. They're giving out keys to pretty much anyone who applies. It really doesn't feel good and it's the most common criticism of the game, besides lack of content.

@@incongruous4 The best way I could describe PvP is Dissidia like. A lot of people might find it clunky when compared to more traditional aRPGs but it seems to be a combat type that is designed for overseas.. in a way Elsword was also like a 2d version of it. CC heavy, long combos, juggling, etc

Being an MMOlite brawler this would be excellent on the switch..can't wait, one day the switch will have a quality MMO and I'll be able to grind and grind and grind just for the sake of grinding and fabbing up my character. I love grandchase solid probably enjoy this aswell

I'm not sure on the specifics - I didn't notice any noticeable latency issues but I generally don't play a ton of PvP stuff anymore to be able to know what to look for.

Dissidia did pop off, the issue is that it was only for PSP. If that game gets ported to PC/PS4/Xbox with perhaps a graphics refresh, it will blow up. The combat was insane.

I was really excited for this game, and I like a ton of the aspects of it, but the PvP is just not good. It's a combo game that lacks a good combo breaker. Yes you can dodge, but if you do manage to dodge at the right time, you can retaliate immediately, and the enemy can do pretty much nothing about it. However, the moment *you* start hitting them they dodge out of *your* combo and it feels so much like a cat chasing it's own tail. I know the weapon unbalances can be fixed, and there is still in team coordination, but when I play a PvP game, I want to outplay. I want to predict an enemy dodge and be able to catch them after it, (which never happens because their dodge either brings them too far or they can retaliate immediately) I want to be able to 1v2. Instead, you can pretty much get stun locked infinitely by two opponents. Not every game has to be like what I yearn for, I know, but lack of defensive options and outplay potential just doesn't add up to a game I can really enjoy playing if the game is going to be PvP-oriented. Still have high hopes for the game though.

If this does turn out to be a buy to play game it will be exactly what I'm looking for. A buy to play action anime MMO game. I'm not really into PvP in these games but that would be a nice touch anyway since it would give you something to do when you inevitably run out of PvE content. I'm super excited for this game. Also, the whole character creator looks like it was taken directly from those 3D custom hentai games. lol

Buy to play and it will be dead 6 months after relase date, I dubt it or it will turn free2play. There is SoulWorker on free to play model and the fan base is still dissapearing, why? Lack of new content? Gameforge as a publisher? Facing same enemies all the time? No one knows. But I do think, that buy to play will just be too much for a boss staged "MMO" combat game. I wouldn't be so positively oriented about that, if you ask me... . But yeah, the character creation is just too perfect, it only needs custom face and we would all be in (h)heaven ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

@@TheSibiq I actually played SoulWorker for a while and quit because of the massive F2P grind and of course Gameforge. SoulWorker has rather lackluster endgame content and mediocre PvP so that's why imo it's dying. I could be completely wrong though as that's just what I read and never made it to endgame myself. Elder Scrolls Online and Black Desert manage to at least stay alive as buy to play games so I'm hoping maybe this one can somehow make it too. I can only imagine the customization that will be available after its release.

Oh geez, the infamous break bar is spreading! That was my least favorite mechanic in GW2 since it made combat trivial in the sense that you just aimed for breaking the bar, deeps hard, rinse and repeat. I’m definitely with you on this being way too anime, but I absolutely loved the original dissidia final fantasy game, so I’m really tempted to try the pvp in this.

Been waiting for this game since last year and signed up for beta as soon as I saw it was open. Been having tons of fun just playing around with combos. The pve leaves a lot to be desired. It's really lacking in that department for now. The tutorial is very barebones too so there's a lot of figuring things out on your own. Wish it will be more streamlined when it drops. The pvp reminds me of Dragon Nest + Soulworker, only DN is more polished in pvp ofc since this is just new. It does get repetitive and the pure boss fights is kinda boring once you've memorized the patterns but it's fun to spice things up by trying new combinations of karmas. I'm not the target demographic with the panty shots lol but I still enjoy the pretty and the cute. I wish the dresses were cuter though!

Feels like this got inspired by monster hunter world. And thats good i think, MHW was very fun. but short lived 4-5 weeks in i felt like i was done. (cleared content on 1 weapon). Oh god yes that hair creation is so awesome, please god implent this in other mmorpgs. I really want to play this :o

Looks just like Dragon Nest. "Dance of wind" karma is just a copy of the sniper / wind walker classes, and overall the icons are pretty similar.

Just imagine this. An MMORPG with a plot or world similar to Jump Force, where characters from many different Anime inhabit the worldS. You can go to the earth Naruto lives on, you have to infiltrate the Chunin exams to figure out the villain on that worlds plan. You can visit the earth from DBZ and help repel the attack by Frieza. Set sail on your own ship to answer a distress call from the Going Merry. Maybe head to UA High and participate in the hero games. Go to the Hosu City dungeon to fight off the Nobu and the final boss Hero Killer Stain. Hop into some PvP matches that can be larger World of Warcraft style battlegrounds (at least in terms of size), or fight in Jump Force style matches. The possibilities are endless, oh if only I was rich I could just make it with generic stand in characters lol, I guess that wouldn't be as notable though without Goku or Luffy fighting beside you.

I tried it some time ago (not the latest test) the game honestly looks better then it is. It lacked difficulty and some skill variety, even if you get some from the weapons it's still not enugh as far as i am concerned. I would rather get a custom skill set i am comfortable with than the class swap mechanic which is not that great to begin with... As i mentioned, the game is not much challenging what so ever if you're not playing PVP which is unfortunate... However it's not live yet so it could get better by the release, but i don't see this doing better than elsword did, in fact, that one is more fun to play, too bad shit publishers ruined it tho.
