Thank you for this video, it didn’t need to be informative, just being acknowledged is nice. Non Binary is so confusing for me, and so isolating being in the closet about it I guess? I don’t necessarily experience dysphoria, but I just wish I knew where I sat in the library of genders as you put it!

Great video! I'm 50 years old, and I have felt like I should have been born female since the age of 4 years old. Growing up in the '80's and 90's was tough because there wasn't any information back then. I felt so strongly that I needed to do something about it, and men's clothes made me feel depressed. Now I know that was gender dysphoria I was feeling. Wearing masculine women's clothing makes sense to me. I'm attracted to women and I've always felt like a lesbian. So I am a soft and smooth male that wears masculine women's clothing. When I heard about nonbinary, it totally made sense to me. Hearing people say that this is something new that only came about in the past few years makes me laugh.

I'm 💯 behind non binary people being able to put their gender identity correctly on identification documents, however I think the option of U or unidentified could be a safer option in some situations especially on say a passport when travelling internationally to a destination not safe to those that have gender identities outside the binary. Then again if we don't proudly represent ourselves publicly then attitudes will never change. It's a hard call but a point of view I thought worthy of mentioning. To conclude don't get me wrong trans & non binary rights and opinions around us have improved greatly in the last 50 years but just when I thought we were getting to a good place I had my brother in law bring up the tired rhetoric of trans women in female bathrooms being a safety issue for young females the other day, I set him straight & said that the majority of trans women & non binary individuals who use the female bathroom simply want to use the bathroom and don't feel that they pass as masculine enough to use the male bathroom, the majority of us are just as disgusted by individuals who prey on people in bathrooms & the statistics just don't support that this is a prevalent problem. Seriously I will never understand people who don't look at facts before passing judgement on a group of people but all I can do as a transgender woman is to continue to educate people in the hopes that 1 day people won't be concerned about who is using what bathroom.
