@Scott Seufert Your leaving out a huge catalyst to the fall according to scripture. If it weren't for the serpent possessed by Satan, humanity would have not fallen into sin. If Adam had not given into the cunning words of Eve, his righteousness would have atoned for the sin of Eve, however that's not how it played out and you are correct that God still had a plan to redeem man through the Son of Man and proper baptism of the faithful to receive His sanctifying grace offerred through His Church.

I have been attempting to gather as much spiritual information as possible and I've found prayers that would suggest there are many in Purgatory; those who have not purified themselves for Heaven (what exactly that means I have yet to comprehend). There are, reportedly, priests in Purgatory. There are prayers asking Jesus to forgive those in Purgatory. As Father Mike stated, you must have a belief in God, must participate in his Holy Sacraments and MUST do "His Will". This may boil down to whether one chooses to believe (or not believe) that Purgatory is real, but I'll take the position that it is, based on what I've heard and read from others' accounts.

Again in a spirit of Truthfulness I DID watch the entire video , I have no issue with this priest's hair as many have commented on how good it looks, I repudiated his stance on Purgatory that has absolutely no Biblical basis for. I have read the entire Bible more than several times , yet I am not a scholar and Not Once have found any Biblical evidence for this priest's false assumption. My younger brother died (age 26) in his sleep of SUDEP a seizure in his sleep. He died 10/16/19. The suffering is real!

While you bring up a fine point, and there are infinitely different fine points from Protestants and individuals, to me, this is why it always comes down to authority. It makes complete sense to me. God is freedom from sin. Sin is what detach us from peace. Instead it bring worries, attachments to mundane things, fears, doubts, resentment, anger, jealousy, hatred, concupiscence, … you name it. If we can be free from all this here and now, why waiting??? If you need to apologise to someone, do it today. If you need to forgive someone, do it today. If you need to love someone, do it today. This is God among us. Amen🙏🏻

@@maryaskin4757 If our sin is such an affront to a thrice Holy God then surely the punishment of all the World has to be servere as indeed you noted it was , then the fact that I or You need not be judged as Jesus Christ has paid it all, then This IS Certainly Good News (The Gospel) and God in His Holiness and complete Justice and even taking into account His Supreme Love cannot and will not judge us as this would mean that He has completely ignored the supreme sacrifice that He has required and you have what we call Double Jeopardy, God cannot and Will not comprise His Holiness and we are the recipients of His Perfect Love as scripture continually shows us. No one can ever truly understand Gods love. The good news is that Jesus has saved you. Just do the fathers will and you are saved. There is nothing you can say or do that can get you into heaven. Only by grace alone, through Christ alone. he is a pastor. He is preaching the Gospel. I get Purgatory is a Controversial topic but you are forgetting the very foundation of what faith is about. Faith in Christ alone is all you need. It doesnt matter if you believe in purgatory. You must believe that Jesus is God, that he rose from the dead, that he died for our sins, and seek forgiveness for out sins. That is the will of the father. That is how we get into heaven.

I have a similar remembrance, although I was waiting in a murky place. Just resting and then I was chosen to go to the light. I went to the light and then I was here. It’s been a hard life here. I must have had a lot to learn. Blessings to you.

That's a cutting edge spiritual concept.Another idea is that through praying for the souls in purgatory,it will lessen if not completely eliminate any time we would normally have to spend there.

@@irisgonzalez-caulder9352 What are you trying to say? I didn't say it was. He welcomed us to suffer with him as he suffered for us. We were going to suffer anyway, so he taught us to suffer well. God doesn't suffer in a divine sense because that is unique to us, but Jesus suffered as a man as he was fully man and fully God. We couldn't truly follow him if he didn't. This is pretty standard in Church teachings.

we all need salvation. The only salvation is through Jesus Christ, if purgatory existed, why did Jesus even die for our sins??? There is no point, you live a "good life" then go to purgatory to be cleansed and now your saved? Then Jesus died for nothing. Jesus is the only way to heaven, by no other Gods or people, Jesus is the only way, and he is the only one we should be praying to. Ready John 3:16

But to really be saved, you must have a close relationship with God, and the only way to do that is through prayer, no pastor or priest, no saint or mary, no witch or warlock, no friend of family member, no bible alone can get you a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. It is only through prayer where God will let you know how to live for him and how to work for him and glorify him. May the Grace of Jesus be with You

@@jonnyulloa5493 The Bible clearly demonstrates that we come to Jesus through Mary. Read about the wedding feast at Cana in John ch. 2. To deny Mary's role in leading you to Christ, you are also denying this important chunk of the Gospel. You may also note in the Transfiguration that those who had died before were alive and well in the afterlife and aware of the affairs of earth. Otherwise how could they have joined Jesus on the mountain? The Bible you tell me to read is a Catholic book and I have read it.

No I don't see it, suffering in our world is not our fault. Disease for example is not consequential, we just get a disease because we unknowingly caught it. Anything consequential is not caused by god it's caused by people who make you suffer for your actions. God doesn't punish us on earth.

Hello Nancy, how I see purgatory is like the "mud room" of heaven, Because Jesus stated that nothing unclean can enter into heaven. Thus purgatory is where we go to wipe the stains of our sins off our eternal robes we receive at our baptism so we can enter heaven as a pure soul. Just like when we enter into a home, we go through the mud room to wipe our shoes clean then enter into the home. I hope that helps a little bit more. God bless you! 😊

You don't get a free pass to heaven just by believing in Jesus. That would allow people to sin as much as they want and still go to heaven.

Be careful... Believing in Jesus and knowing He is Lord is NOT a ticket into heaven. Satan believes in Jesus and knows Jesus is Lord, but Satan followed his own will and refused to follow God's will. Yes, Jesus suffered, died, and resurrected for all people's of all religions, but all do not follow God's will perfectly. (Just being "Catholic" does not get you into heaven either.) Don't aim for just being a good Catholic; aim for Sainthood here on earth! 😊

Alas what you are saying falls on deaf ears as the roman Catholic believes what the church tells them to believe . I like the enthusiasm of this priest but all he is doing is parroting what he has been taught and he does not even use the context of many verses where he is teaching from. The common Catholic is told that they are not to interpret the scriptures at all using 2 Peter 1:20 as proof and yet the context of verse 20,21 proves that this verse has nothing to do with private interpretation! How can this priest be so blind to God's word?

I was brought up catholic. I agree with you. I don't believe in purgatory. I will never be enough, but what Jesus did to save me was over and above anything I can ever do. Given to me freely 2 thousand years ago when He died for me because He love me so.
