The Gerber DIME appears to be the worst even if it has some very interesting features: external bottle opener, tweezers and package opener.
The Nextool Huohou Mini has the best scissors but it's the heaviest and bulkier.
The Leatherman Squirt PS4 is the best, the lightest, it has the best pliers, the best wire cutters. Note that the version for electricians of the Squirt PS4, the ES4, offers tweezers.

@@diezelle57 I bought a T4 after watching your vid, it’s not left my pocket since and it’s absolutely perfect for my daily needs. Can you do this video but adding that into the mix? It seems about the same size and weight and has a keychain loop. Might be another option for some people.

L'idéal étant pour ma part également situé en dessous des 120 grammes. Merci pour votre aide. Il y a une multitude de produits et il est difficile de faire un excellent choix. Bien cordialement

I don't know how but I have ended up with a handful of "keychain" multi-toos from Leatherman, Gerber, Coast, Nextool, walmart, and a couple of others I don't remember their pedigree. I keep one in each bag, pack or kit that I play or travel with so I always have one near me. Too heavy for a keychain imo but I do have a Victorinox Signature lite on my keys that I find invaluable. Thanks for comparing.

I have the Dime, and it's a very poorly produced product, using weak materials. Only good tools are the scissors, the bottle opener, and the package opener. I carry a Spyderco Shaman so if I need something cut, I'll use that.

Gerber Curve for me. It's the perfect keychain size as not to bother my pockets. I use it more than I would like to admit!

The Gerber Curve is interesting indeed. But I chose to compare only the small multi-tools equipped with a pliers.

@@diezelle57 Ah... then it's the Dime for me. The Leatherman is 2x the cost where I live, so I bought the Dime. I don't need to strip nor cut wires, so it's weak point doesn't bother me. Every other tool on the Dime works for me just fine.

@@kahuna1247 Phillips screwdriver too small (because of the bottle opener), a ridiculous file, scissors just for the nails ... Another thing: the spring of the Dime scissors is fragile, I have already broken it ... It is true that the Squirt is more expensive but it is the price of the quality ...

@@diezelle57 Haha.. I forgot about that dodgy file on the Dime! I use the scissors for light duty tasks only considering how its built, probably why mine haven't broken (yet). With the screwdriver, I fully open the handle with the attached bottle opener, allowing no obstruction at the screwdriver end. This also gives me a perfect grip for my hands... again for light duty tasks only. When you appreciate the strength and weaknesses of any mulit-tool, you just adapt to using it for its intended purpose.

I had the Nextool and after 7 days it broke ... I think the most reliable is the Leatherman

I own a "nextool mini" I must say it is a nice piece, a bit too heavy to take to the keys. Unfortunately the scissor loses its thread very quickly. In reality these small pliers are very limited in use, they flex a lot and are not very strong. Better to bring along a "REv" even if obviously bigger and more cumbersome. Good life!

Totally agree. People keep buying me mini tools because everyone I know has no imagination and while none are of a high quality, the size of the jaws and how many fingers I can apply, makes them useless for everything but pulling a needle through thick material.

Owww crap finally found one reasonably priced and ordered it. Just saw that the official store now also sells the same version in red and green. Oww well, I have other tools I don't use. Guess it's a mans thing.

Diezelle, Maybe I just got a really good Gerber Dime. But I would go with the Gerber Dime. And yes I do have an unusual use for it. Honda cars use the micro fuses and the pads you see on the side tip end of the jaws are perfect for getting behind the fuse and pulling them out. The nextool I find that your model looks like the Nextool "mini flagship" I wonder if the name was changed for the American market. I like the size of the nextool tools but in this category size is a big thing. Question have you looked at the Knipex twin grip pliers ?

There are other models of small multi-purpose pliers, the SOG CrossGrip, the Bear & Son Mini Bear Jaws 153 and the BuckTool 350 but I have disqualified them.

La lime du Gerber est une vraie honte... Pardon, mais lorsque l'on produits des outils aussi ouvertement décevants de facon éhontée, la logique commerciale est explicite et loin d'être tournée vers l'utilisateur qui ne demande qu'à faire confiance au produit... Unfortunately they don't make a multitool with pliers in this size, I wish they did. Also I wish they made a medium sized multitool, a bit like the Leatherman Juice, but with Vic alox handles and tools.
