I love Magnesium! I wish I would have known about this before they started prescribing blood pressure medicine. This stuff keeps me so calm. I love it!!!!
Same here, I took statins in the beginning of high B/P and the side effects were "may damage kidneys" which no one told me about, so now I have CKD...Chronic Kidney Disease.
A brilliant video. I have read loads of websites on Magnesium but this really does explain things better. Especially about the types of magnesium NOT to take. Thank you
Yep absolutely right. What I figured out just now is that my equate multivitamin Puritan's Pride calcium magnesium citrate plus vitamin D3 and another Spring Valley magnesium supplement that I'm taking are all the crappy Mg supplements! Mg Oxide, aspartate, and stearate. 🤬 I'm only getting a little bit of the good stuff, Mg citrate.
I am so grateful for your very helpful review on magnesium supplements. Also glad you mentioned Dr. Huberman in conjunction with the magnesium theonate. I know who he is and trust his opinion on health issues. Thank you so much Dr. Aspires (great name).
please check your magnesium Links they dont seem to coincide with the names you are describing. I am also I little confused with Magnesium L Threonate (Stimulant) vs magnesium glycinate for sleep.
Dr. Janine Bowring, ND said something different. For every doctor that say something good there are just as many doctors who disagreed. It would be wonderful if you would all agreed!
Hi! Can my elderly father take both Mag Glycinate & Mag Threonate. He’s 78, and had Myocarditis due to the Booster shot, in Jan of 21, and as a result, suffered 2 mini strokes. He also has type 2 Diabetes. Thank you.
Im sorry that happened to your dad. You can help your dad healing his diebetes by going %100 vegan. No animal products and no diary at all. In less than 6 months he will be healed
I have the life extension L theronate, i was also putting chlorophyll in my water but my mag blood results was 2.5 over where I should be ( too much mag) for the brain blood barrier one does that go to the blood or just the brain? I really liked the way that made me feel! My doc said stop taking it because I was high. I don’t think she realizes its for just brain? I want to know if Ltheronate 3 is just for brain? Was it the chlorophyll or that throwing my numbers high?
Sir, can we take 2 kinds of magnesium together. ? For example, mag citrate and magnesium taurate , or magnesium citrate and glycine, or magnesium citrate and threonate etc...? Thank you.
I had that same question and need. I did some research and what I found was that it is ok to take multiple types but.....separated by time. Some vitamins and minerals are better taken and absorbed at certain times of day. Also some minerals will have a higher absorption rate if paired with another vitamin. Example: if you want to take tumeric then you should take black pepper as well. The opposite works too. Some minerals or vitamins when taken together will actually work against one another and sometimes cause cancellation of one or side effects. So depending on what type you need check to see if it has a little buddy or enemy. Then split the types, one morning and one afternoon. Or whatever. Hope that made sense.
Thank you for info, this is my problem, I got UTI, Never heard it before. I went to Dr. She gave me Antibiotic that caused me side effects daily or night with muscle cramps, called Dr. She gave me another Antibiotic, I took two, then I stopped, I researched, couple of ladies had same problems, so After this that I got feminine balance complex plus mag Malate 1000mg. I am 70 years old, is Malate good for muscle cramp? How many gram can I take it? Can I take multivitamins? Thank you to answer my Q's
Thank you for sharing all this information! I was hoping you would cover the best magnesium for menopausal or perimenopausal women. Could you do one that covers that? Please!
I would suggest you apply what he says here, and go by your personal symptoms to figure which ones you need. There are many different components to menopause and the symptoms you might be experiencing. You might also need Progesterone cream and B vitamins when going through menopause. Everyone's needs and symptoms during menopause is different. Hope this helps. ❤
great video!,,, Esp good since there are so many types.. / i would love to see this kind of video to explain some other supplements, like,, Vitamin C,,,,, Calcium,,, are the ones i Never can figure out which type to try,, thanks, have a great day :)
Suppose someone has sleep issues as a result of muscle spasticity due to MS? I think Glycinate is supposed to be good for it but the laxative effect is annoying. Is there a kind of magnesium that helps with the muscles and insomnia that does not have the laxative factor?
Magnesium citrate can act as an osmotic laxative, meaning it works by drawing water into the intestines, which softens the stool and makes it easier to pass.
I've taken magnesium for a number of years from Bio Innovations in TX by a Doctor which has a selective line of supplements. I've been taking the "Chelated Magnesium" and find no issues with its performance, however Bio Innovations have not put out a full description of benefits. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.
This information just made me confused,, thought magnesium is concentrated, i didnt realized that each has its own benefit,, this is causing too much money🤔i cant even afford 1 bottle , was considering glycinate because i heard from other videos that it is the best,, hiw is that true,,is there a kind of magnesium that has all the benefits thats needed, please help🙏
Has anyone listened to TC Hale video - Kick it Naturally. He states that magnesium is the most pro-catabolic mineral there is, meaning this mineral is designed to assist your body create energy, break down tissue and assist the body to be in an active state. So potentially magnesium should be taken in the morning? Would a person take threonate in the morning or before bedtime specifically for me the goal is sleep? I have taken threonate for the past 3 weeks at 150 mg of actual elemental threonate in the morning and have not noticed anything as of yet. I also have taken Mg Glycinate before bedtime for years with zero improvement in sleep. Anyone have anything to suggest? Thanks.
What about magnesium carbonate? It’s in a product called Natural Calm which is supposed to be relaxing and helpful for stress. I didn’t hear you mention this form.
That's exactly what I was waiting to hear, and it was never mentioned. I needed to know if Magnesium Carbonate would intrrfere with other pressure medications. I'm really surprised that Carbonate (CALM) was NOT mentioned at all.
That's because CALM is considered citrate. When you mix with water chemical reaction occurs with the citric acid in it and you have magnesium citrate as a result. You are drinking citrate. I was confused at first then it was explained to me.
You say that magnesium aspartate poorly dissolves in water Magnesium aspartate is a magnesium salt of aspartic acid that is commonly used as a mineral supplement that's what magnesium aspartate is when googled I got this info "It displays high oral bioavailability and water solubiltiy compared to other magnesium salts such as magnesium citrate, magnesium carbonate and magnesium oxide"
I got 2 popular brands of magnesium supplements, and they are reasonably available in pharmacies, but neither says what kind of magnesium it is in the fine print. The other ones you mention are probably harder to find and much more expensive,
Many people refer to magnesium as the original "chill pill", and for a good reason! Numerous studies have linked magnesium with boosted mental health and managing symptoms of anxiety and depression. Low magnesium levels are often associated with depressive moods, so it's easy to see why supplementing with magnesium may be useful in managing depression. Magnesium also plays a key role in nerve regulation, neurotransmitter balance, and the production of the "happy hormone" serotonin, as well as melatonin (which supports restful sleep). Supplementing with a high-quality magnesium complex could help you relax, manage stress, and sleep better.
If you require a diffrent needs, can we mix it up to a require dose? Lets say 150mg Malate and 150mg/or less Citrate? I have only been taking either or, which is glycinate (with gaba & melatonin) at night when i need to get back to my sleeping cycle or citrate to help regular bowel movements, and i know i could benefit from magnesium malate as i work out 5-6 days a week.
Magnesium 11 different types 1) Glycinate Chelated with the amino acid glycine For anxiety Helps with relaxation Promotes sleep 2) Malate Bound to malic acid Helps body create ATP For pain, soreness, toxicity 3) Citrate All-round Popular Gut 4) Taurate For circulation and blood pressure Taurine+magnesium regulate blood sugar 5) L threonate Chelated Crosses blood brain barrier Sleep Memory and focus 6) Chloride For pain and soreness Topical 7) Oxide, stearate, lactate, aspartate No benefits
