So I need to come to San Antonio. Too bad they don't have any nice place to go swimming. I have a huge bike collection and I hear they have a lot of bike trails in the city. I might like it there. I need to leave this Chicago winter scene and move to a new home
@@mr.e1220 SA has good bike trails, mountain and just regular. (plus if in the know 700 acres has been around for a long time). Plus SA is a quick hour from Spider mountain. SA is a cool place to be.
That's all well and good....but why did you leave out the Rio Grande Valley? I would dispute claims from San Antonio, and especially from Austin. The closer you get to the border, the better the breakfast tacos become. San Antonio is a 4-hour drive to the border. Most cities in the RGV are 10-15 minutes from the border, and feature the BEST tacos, breakfast tacos included. If you really want to rate tacos, you have to come here to the RGV. If you don't, then whatever you say is nonsensical and invalid.
Excellent point. We've gotten a lot of comments like this. We were trying to settle the beef between Austin and San Antonio. But always open to another breakfast taco road trip. Got any faves?
A single-owner restaurant I like is called "La Paloma Taqueria" in Edinburg. However, the Stripes convenience stores that serve tacos from "The Laredo Taco Company" are very good as well......they're each a little bit different, but generally speaking they are served by little old Mexican ladies who've been cooking tacos all their lives, so you know they're good.
Bryan Bounous the breakfast taco originated in San Antonio though. there is no mention of the breakfast taco earlier than found in San Antonio. of course that doest mean it wasn't already eaten. but it became a commodity first in San Antonio.
