My ex told me the same story in the beginning about his ex and he is likely telling his new girl now. they change cell phone #s and block you everywhere so new supply has no chance of finding out the TRUTH they need to insulate her from you during the love bombing until she is emotionally attached and sexually involved and bonded my ex changed his cell phone when he MET me and when he left me he blocked his ex in the beginning just as he blocked me now (of course there are fake accounts) because he didnt want me to learn the truth just as he doesn't want the new girl now to learn the truth she has to be romanced like i was and they make you feel special saying they are "blocking their crazy jealous ex who still loves me" so as not to sabotage our new love it fits their narrative and doesn't arouse any suspicion in the new supply, in fact she feels special but ask what man MOVES state to state (Connecticut to Alabama to Florida to Connecticut to Virginia to Alabama ) and changes addresses, cell phone #, facebook accounts, vehicles, jobs and bank accounts ??? unstable man at age 54 .... using women. cycle of charming, disarming and harming them

This is very true, they want you to bring that old approach, but thats not the case, in a normal long relationship, we matured, we feel relax and stable with our partner. Its normal the sweetness will getting less compared to the first date, may be thats why they have this repeatable patterns and they dont mature. It seems they are stuck in this child mental level.
I think the narc started to devalue me when he realized that I really loved him. This shocked his system because I think he knew what he was. After the devaluation, ghosting and other tactics, he knew I suspected something was off with him, and that’s when the mask fell off completely.

They understand that you have recognised their act and will soon begin to ask questions, and that you will begin to pull off the false mask of their false insecure and fearful identity. They often will take some small issue and turn it into grounds for discard. For example, A toxic substance abusive partner who is really looking for a codependent ATM and source of external validation that will help perpetuate their false identity will unilaterally dump their supply when the supply to wakes up to the feigning of love and affection, and self responsibility that they act out. These people grew up in neglectful, alcoholic or otherwise toxic home environments where the only form of love was conditional in nature or did not feature love or secure attachment at all. It is not our responsibility to fix these people, although an empathetic person would be tempted to do so or would actually try once or twice to get through to the person, but this can not work because any healing has to be authentically requested by the toxic person. Bottom line is push on and create an even bigger future without a neediness to have a supportive partner, walking around like a duckling looking for its mother, but open to a partnership if a healthy happy person comes along.

Sarah Hilton good morning I read your comment... I agree wholeheartedly with you... I had to escape my narcissist.. I actually moved hours and hours away to another state.... I missed a call on the landline yesterday... I seen the number and for some reason I got so excited and I did the call return... It was me on my cell phone... I had forgotten that I had called the landline from my cell phone.... The number is very similar to The Narcissist cell phone number... I was really upset with myself... because when I seen the number I thought that my daughter was calling me.... my daughter is my narcissist.... my only child.... she is 32 years old... she is giving me the silent treatment right now..... she is so cruel... I hate to use the word evil... but it really applies to her... she really loves to hurt people especially those that love her.. And yes I got so excited because I thought she was reaching out to me... But bottom line is she's not going to reach out to me.. The only reason that she even associated with me was because I was a very convenient babysitter.. She has five children... my grandchildren are my whole life.. I was never invited to any of my grandchildren's birthdays... never included in Holiday dinners... I was never welcome to step foot in my daughter's house... But she would drop the children off and pick them up at her convenience. I would ask her to stop and visit a while and have some coffee... once in awhile she would have a cup of coffee... but usually she would have some excuse that she was in such a hurry... If she did have coffee with me her nose would be in her phone.. I have no clue what's so interesting in her telephone.. It's a sad thing but she has no friends... she has pushed most of the family members away.. I was the last one to go... I was 36 years old when I had my daughter... she was my dream come true.. It's very ironic... Growing up I always called her... my precious one... I have to have a sense of humor lol... I've been crying most of the time as I have been writing this to you... But I'm usually very upbeat about things.. And I thank God for that.. I live on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City... so I love the hustle and bustle and all the visitors from around the world... , where I live on the boardwalk though is very peaceful It's the best of both worlds... I love looking at the ocean every day and I can see the sunrise out my window... I had to escape my narcissist.. Because who she is is not the child that I raised... I mourn for the child that I gave birth to and that I nurtured and that I love.. She only wants to hurt me and she finds happiness when she hurts me that is so very very sad

This came at a perfect time for me. Being discarded and knowing it’s coming as you feel the shift in the relationship. Feeling like I care less about engaging and knowing he needs the extreme responses. I don’t have it in me any longer. So it makes sense that it’s over. That I no longer fulfill that role. Good riddance.
I’ve known and accepted it for a VERY long time. So much so that I feel I caused it. Being completely devoid of an emotional reaction to his bad behavior AND drawing boundaries AND acknowledging what he was doing. “You’re trying to say I’m negative for calling out the things you do to hurt me. That’s emotional blackmail. Not allowing me to feel my feelings for fear of being called negative.” It became no fun for him. 🤷🏽♀️. I’m at peace. The relationship was soooooooo mundane so i texted him and told him that if he didn't give me more substance as my man that we would have to just be friends. He texted me back an hour later and told me to never speak to him again. This is after a two year relationship or as Q calls them interactions or transactions!

Well , I didn't understand who he was, what narcissism was or that I was in an abusive relationship walking on eggshells. In 2016, I begin to study narcissism and guess what! Discovered I was married to a narcissist for 13 years and didn't know it. I lived with demonic anger rages and didn't know this person was sent by Satan to destroy me and I left.

This is so damned spot on! My ex narc gf discarded me totally out of the blue after over ten years together. When I pressed to find out why and made my case for why I didn't deserve to be treated like that, she held on to this notion that I was just angry that she dumped need and not the other way around. She honestly thought because I was not responding to the manipulations the way I used to that I was planning to dump her. Which wasn't the case. They are so woefully insecure and fragile and control obsessed they have no discernment whatsoever. It's a mind fuck to deal with them. They always have to be in control of the narrative even when it makes them look like a complete idiot.
The thing about dealing with a narc is how many times do you remember saying that you've had enough but then stuck around to get more narc treatment? You lose yourself losing count. Right on point. Been through the ringer with a narc abusive spouse and divorcing due to lies, greed, DV and cheating from day one. He trapped me in a marriage he didn't want but to spite an old supply ex-girlfriend who left him and moved on married someone else to make her jealous and earn a trophy black wife for status. This was my 1st marriage as an older woman and held out to marry I thought my true love but he was an imposter. Lost everything when I moved to a new state and settled wrong😢. My vows were wasted on him and he took advantage and abused my life, my light was so bright and he dimmed it down to a flicker.
Quinn, this teaching is profoundly essential. They expect adoration constantly. If something else engages your attention, however slight, they are livid and a discard is sure to come. NOTHING can come before them, not illness, not death, not a new baby - NOTHING. It was quite exhausting, and this was a friend. I am glad it is over.
My most recent discard (and final, since i have had enough) came very shortly after the latest hoover. Please know that the lovebombing after a hoover phase gets shorter and shorter. Yep they are constantly putting on a show. For my narc it was some form of triangulation with other women. Constantly manufacturing jealousy and anxiety. I admit that I played the hot and cold game with him in the first 6 months. And when I saw he was jealous I milked it more by making up/adding on a few things to really torture him. This has created the addiction we are both currently suffering from. Sad to say Im still sort of in the moment with him while I watch these vids and learn about covert narcs. This has been the best description of why they discard I have ever heard. They need that same high they were getting in the early phase. And we need it too. Thats why we get back involved again and again. Its not love. Its an addiction based on the constant cycle of pain and pleasure that we are both experiencing. But I now have a plan for how to get rid of him and also take care of myself now and after its all over. I am bracing for the impact as we speak.

lol are you me? Exactly what I did. Right when I met him I knew something was wrong but I just played the game for a good 4 months or so. Hot and cold. Knowing he was a narc and staying 2 steps ahead of the game made it much more exciting. I started finding it fun until I got a bit addicted if I'm honest. I'd look forward to seeing him just because I couldn't really predict what would happen. I made him try so hard. Cue triangulation, lies, attempted gaslighting, mirroring, he tried SO many things... none worked because I had educated myself on all of those tactics and did not react. One day he blew his cover and his mask slipped because he realized how bad he was failing and that I wasn't good supply. He is such a loser and a bad actor. Once you've got them pegged, the masks become so obvious it's not even funny (well, it's KINDA funny, but I can see how much they put into it... it's like damn would you relax and sip a cup of tea? it's not life or death... but to them it is). Last time I saw him before he discarded me, I looked at him dead in the eye with an all-knowing smile, and told him good night. Nicely. I'm rarely nice to him. He looked away uncomfortably because he couldn't bear my eyes on him, penetrating deeply... you'd mistake him for a shy guy who can barely look at a girl he likes but looks can be deceiving. He then walked away into the darkness. Now he avoids me like crazy. 😂
You are exactly right! I no longer recognized him. I was tired and had enough of the foolishness. His mask had fallen off time and time again, so he discarded me on Christmas Eve, 2018, without saying a word. Little did he know, he did me a favor, because I am happy and at peace without his lying and deceitful ways.

My husband constantly tries his best to push my buttons on purpose! He’s like A 4 year old. Just petty! I’ve learned to ignore his ridiculous comments and button tactics. When I went to NY to visit a friend for 12 days in attempts to go no contact with him, he told me he figured and felt like I wasn't going to put up with him much longer lol... prior to this he was beginning to create that distance and back off as you described they will do... he told on himself all the time. My daughter's father was a prime example of this.. Once he noticed the changes in me he started making verbal conments of discharge.. When I had to come live with him he thought he was tossing me out in the streets, but i was two steps ahead.and already hada new place to move into.
This is so spot on. The last few minutes of this video can’t be any more right. My ex was always telling me that no guy has ever broke up with her and that she’s always the one that ended it. Now it makes sense. I’m the one that broke up with her and the breakup officially took more than 9 months to a year. She would not leave my apartment that I paid all the rent for the entire time with regard to the first 3 months. We lived together for a year and a half. This makes sounds like this video was made about her specifically it’s so scary.

Right before the discard he even stated “I can tell you’re not as happy like you were in the beginning “ I responded well things are not the same and of course he gave me his usual excuse.... and to add -I didn’t know he was a narcissist although I knew he had serious issues that I chose to ignore and work with
Wowwwwwww! This is awesome! It's more closure. It makes so much sense. I definitely started seeing through the bs, the constant drama, always having an issue with others even though he is "the nicest guy" most of his audience has ever met. Financially immature and emotionally. When we were finally intimate, something he did totally disgusted me. I was trying to figure out a way to end it because I saw we were not compatible in the bedroom and would never be. He ended it instead. Wow, I promise you Quinn, this pushed me over the edge of that closure I needed. I despise him and wasn't thinking of going back. But, the confusion and wtf was that would not go away. Thank you! They will discard you also when they know things are getting bad or once they have done enough damage. They do it during this time because they know things can start to come back on them. The smart ones will do this.
Narcissists are huge overthinkers. My narc while together called me one morning when I was sleep. Usually she loved my sleepy voice. This time she said I sounded like I didn't want to talk which was far from the case and it upset her. She was constantly looking over her shoulder accusing me of everything she was doing especially cheating. When I told her that my ex had a child attending the school I taught at, two weeks later she exited from the relationship saying she needed to seek God. I constantly told her she had nothing to worry about but she was paranoid freakishly
mine too. when we were in the park on valentines day, my phone buzzed from a group text letting me know how our co-worker who was in a car accident was doing. soon as it buzzed she freaked out. even after showing her she took my phone and put it under the car seat. the next month at my apartment she went to the restroom and ran back saying she didnt want me getting her phone. mind you this is after her countlessly saying she trusts me with her phone
Excellent video, your Showtime analogy was on point and answered a major question of mine! When the mask had been torn off my narc and I started questioning everything she said; instead of improving, her behavior actually got worse! Since I was beginning to see who she really was I acted as freely as she until, much to her shock and anger, In the end it was she who had discovered that I had moved on with someone else. I had always wondered why, if she knew that her ass was now under scrutiny with too many questions now directed at her, did she not try to improve her behavior?! Yes, no doubt control had a lot to with it but now you've presented another element Truly well done!
I experienced this discard. And you are very right, my feelings had changed, drastically. I just hadn’t realized how much so. I was grieving the loss of my beloved mother. The energy for the around and around had left me, completely. Emotional exhaustion was my state of mind at the time. My heart was heavy and I was weary. The Narc knew this and continued to make attempts at projecting, controlling and isolating. Nothing in me wanted to deal with the drama anymore. The truth is, I never did. But I made excuses for and tolerated the abuse because I simply pitied them. Once they saw that their final attempt to berate me was fruitless, they were done too. So they performed their final show and they pulled out all the stops. I watched, and, I closed the curtain. Good riddance to bad rubbish, I say!!!

I wasn't responding to his behaviour like I normally did, he realised I'd had enough childish embarrassing behaviour in public and he knew he couldn't do anything about it. He's lost the game not me!!! Leave them and stay real guys....

Absolute truth, Ty for the videos. In my situation, I actually got fed up with My Nex and discarded her, it was one day before my Birthday last September. She chased me out to my car, begged me to stay and that she was going through a crisis. Yeah, one in her mind and made up from paranoid delusions and orchestrated to play the victim. Funny thing looking back now, how I was served with a restraining order 4 days later, in the beginning of a downright evil and disgraceful slandering campaign. These people have no soul and only live to destroy any and everyone they set their sights on. Run, run for your life and your good name. Also I might add, never feel badly about yourself or the person you are, they chose you because you are what they can never be, I mean that you are a person, with a heart and soul, who actually cares about other's and their well being. As a Narc target, we also have the ability to Love and be loved, to understand those we care about and actually be able to show it. We can and do accept our faults and flaws, as well as take responsibility for our actions. We are able to grow as people and flourish. Narcs will never get past the abhorrent and vile, pitiful and evil people that they know they are and wish they didn't have to be. At times it just seems like it is something more than just an illness, I’m trying my best not to make it more or bigger than what it is it just appears so evil and dark, like there is something else at play.
The cue is when they know you’re beginning to see who they really are, and you start pulling their mask off to see what’s under there. Which is not much of anything, and that’s why they hurry up and discard you. Their ego can’t handle you finding out they aren’t about anything. Pro Tip: You didnt fall in love with them, you fell in love with yourself - they literally mirrored your love during love bombing. They can’t produce that love from nothing.
Thank you very much for these videos, they have helped me to understand where I am in this discarding stage of the transaction I've been in for the last 3 years. Also, its helped me to behave rationally when she makes an attack meant to hurt me. I must say, that as a result of watching these videos that expose the mental dynamic of this monster, I'm handling her with much savvy as I head out the door. Keep up the good work my brother, extremely helpful and mind settling to know what their next move is, as watch them manifest themselves like clockwork.
When you said “they need to get rid of you” when you’re seeing the truths of their actions...I’ve actually got an audio clip of my ex literally saying “I love you and want to be with you....I need to get rid of you” in the same conversation 😐
Quinn holiday you are so right that's exactly what happened when they found out I wasn't moved by their actions anymore I wasn't depressed by them anymore I had no more desire to speak with them they picked it up easily and said oh okay take care of yourself we hung up the phone and I never heard from them again after all those years my personality changed I developed a voice of my own and it was too much for them to take and they walked away and it was nice meeting you in Chicago Illinois be blessed Quinn and thank you for everything
He works in the same building on same floor.. it discarded me in Feb 2018.. and ignores me so I ignore him.. however, flaunting with other women on the same floor.. i think to get a response..he just walked past..it makes me shudder...😨what a horrible child creature... I am 51 he is 10 years younger.. horrible
This all makes sense now! The showing off of all that money & jewelry ; EVERY- SINGLE- TIME! Was a great show, but All an act to impress me. I as not moved at all by that. Money & assets don't make somebody a good person, their character, and moral does.
