Not everyone will enter the kingdom. Some will be excluded. So how do you enter? Jesus said it depends on doing "the will of the Father." What is that? Does that mean doing works, or something else? Bob Wilkin of the Grace Evangelical Society discusses.

The will of the Father is to believe on His Son, Jesus Christ. If one believes on Jesus Christ, one is saved FOREVER. One sacrifice for ALL sins. All means ALL. Praise be to God!

“Faith without works is dead.” James 2:26. Don’t forget that there is a difference between “sin” and “trespass” - knowing something is wrong and making a decision to do it anyways. Anyones “will” is whatever they tell you to do. So if the father tells you NOT to do something. You are not doing the will of the father if you do those things. When you sin, you are sinning against God. “Against” = the opposite of “with”. The best Fathers are the strict ones. The ones that do not allow you to do bad things just because you want to, but are understanding when you “slip up”. “The Father” doesn’t allow it either, but he forgives mistakes.

@@noahazlin3205 Hope you know James 2 has absolutely nothing to do with salvation. Sinning doesn’t cause one to go to hell. A believer can sin and still go to heaven because he believes in Christ. Believers cannot be condemned (Romans 8:1).

@@noahazlin3205 that doesn't make sense because if you know that it's sin but still do it isn't that still considered willfully? Apostle Paul said he does the thing he hates and doesn't do the thing he wants.

1 Thessalonians 4:3-8 It is God’s WILL that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; 4that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, 5not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; 6and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. 7For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. 8Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction is not rejecting man but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you. John sums it up. 1 John 2:17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the WILL of God lives forever.

That’s not what faith without works means. It means if you say u have faith and don’t act on it your faith is a dead faith…meaning it’s not being used properly. Just because u don’t act on your faith doesn’t mean u don’t have faith. Ppl belive that eating healthy is better than eating burgers everyday but because they keep eating burgers doesn’t change the fact that they belive it’s better to not do such. If u think you are doing enough to be saved you’re implying that you are perfect because in order to get to heaven by obedience works service discipleship etc u have to do it PERCECTLY which no man can live up to but Jesus !

@@ashtonmmton1554 Don't you think since Jesus is saying depart from me [sending them to hell] He would plainly say You trusted in your works? Jesus doesn't say anything about those works. He says ye who works iniquity. John 10:1-5,14,26-27 Truly truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way that man is a thief and a robber. 2But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they "know" his voice. 5A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not "know" the voice of strangers.14 Iam the good shepherd. I "know" my own and my own "know" me 26but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. 27My sheep hear my voice, and I "know" them, and they follow me. Only those who are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17) as a result of repentance are Jesus's sheep and follow him. Jesus uses the word "knows" as in an intimate way just like that word is used throughout scripture. Matt 7:21-23 Why does Jesus say depart from me I never "knew" you ye that work iniquity. Clearly, they believed in God although it was superficial. He's not double minded,The works mentioned are works that He told us to do. John14:12 John 15:1-6. Matthew 5:16 Mark 16:15-17. He does not say you trusted in your works. He doesn't say I knew you once and you later rejected me. He says I never "knew" you (in scripture "knew" means intimately) They never changed their minds about their sinfulled life (repented) to have their sins forgiven. Luke 24:47 And REPENTANCE FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS will be preached in His name to all nations starting in Jerusalem. Acts 26:20 First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and then to the Gentiles, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and demonstrate their repentance by their deeds. They didn't have a personal relationship with Him. In desperation they are pointing to their works as evidence they knew Him. They believed repentance is works and conduct was irrelevant to being saved. Jesus wouldn't refer to what He commanded us to do as iniquity or lawlessness God didn't know them because they hadn't been regenerated Jesus say ye workers of iniquity. Iniquity is continuous unrepentant sin. Titus 1:16 They profess that they "know" God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good works reprobate. 2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription The Lord "knows" those who are his, and, “EVERYONE WHO CONFESSED THE NAME OF THE LORD MUST TURN AWAY FROM WICKEDNESS.” Nahum 1:7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he "knoweth" them that trust in him. Note: They didn't say I humbled myself, repented of my sins which is the first requirement for salvation. The will of the Father; The Greek word that is translated as “does” is poieo. The word appears 598 times in the New Testament. It has been demonstrated that the Greek word for “does” refers to action that performs an activity. This word is a verb and not a noun.Since poieo is a verb, we must also determine the meaning of its tense, voice and mood. The tense of poieo in Matthew 7:21 is in the present tense.Poieo in the present tense refers to action that is ongoing. For example, when Jesus said, “he who does the will” He was referring to ongoing action at that moment in time. In other words he who is doing the Father's will. The Greek word for “does” is a Greek present participle which implies ongoing behavior. The person who does the will of God once in a while does not qualify.Jesus is describing someone who habitually does the will of the Father. Poieo is also in the active voice, which means that when Jesus said, “.he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter” Jesus was saying that the individual must be performing the action. A life of obedience (present tense “do” [Ποιωv] for continuous action) to his will is, in fact, the definition of righteousness. when Jesus says “. . . but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.” The word “does” is a present, active, participle verb which means that those who continuously are doing the will of the Father go to heaven. Jesus was referring to a pattern of life and not perfect obedience. The character of true Christians is that they sin less and less as they mature in their faith.

The real question is, “Is Gods will always done?”. God”s Will is that everyone be saved. We know that doesn’t happen. It’s Gods will that we love our neighbor as ourself. That definable doesn’t happen. It”s Gods will that we don’t murder, commit adultery, etc.

What about the rest of the passage? 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’ 24Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because its foundation was on the rock.

Everyone is lawless. The only difference is that some actually believe Jesus forgives their lawless behavior once and for all, and others don't. The ones that don't believe think they need to help Jesus pay for their sins, which He already did, but they still don't really believe that, so they are not forgiven and are calling Jesus a liar.

This is a great example of how Satan also twists the Scriptures to lead people astray from the truth. A sure sign of bad exegesis is when you prove what “the will of the Father” is by going outside of Matthew 7 only to then come back to quote the very last verse of Matthew 7 and say “that’s what it means there”. If Matthew 7 in context taught that you wouldn’t need to jump outside of it only to come back later. Any plain reading of Matthew 7 shows that our external works are evidence of our genuine faith and those who call Jesus Lord AND DO NOT DO WHAT HE SAYS are only fooling themselves.

Who is it that believes that all of mankind is now living in the last of the last days? From what I see and hear most (christians) are starting to believe that as being true, and so I am confident that most readers of this post can agree with that also. However, does to believe such a thing qualify one as being saved? Better yet, does believing upon an historical event, such as a man named Jesus as crucified by Rome 2,000 years ago, qualify one as being saved? And does to believe in the Name of Jesus qualify as the same? Recently America experienced a total eclipse, and many wondered after the event as a sign from God. Many certain persons prophesied that this event was indeed "the sign of Jonah", and led many to believe that as Truth. Does believing that as Truth save? But what if that statement is not true? What would the result of that be to the one who prophesied? And what about those who heard that word and believed it? If any can read then read as Jesus spoke; " For AS Jonah was a SIGN unto the Ninevites..." (Lk.11:30) So what was the sign? Interestingly, the many who prophesy in this day actually believe they bring the Gospel of God to the masses to be believed upon as the Truth, yet how many of these masses has the Son set free indeed? Is it not said that believers are bound to sin until they die and then the rapture? Is the doctrine of Rapture Truth? And if not, and it is not, what are the effects thereof? What was the effect of what Adam believed as being true? The most curious Truth most will most likely never be enabled to accept is this: Just prior to the revelation of the antichrist the condition of the so-called church will be a collapse into total apostasy. The many who prophesy during this time does Jesus not even know, for to be in apostasy is to come as a minister of light, yet is not. Most will believe and follow these who speak lies, for they do not so love the Truth. This apostate delusion already owns the minds of the masses; a broad road that leads to destruction. The idea is to believe the lie, by which is supported by many signs and wonders, all of which the masses look for. Jesus said, "...The Son can do nothing OF himself, but what he SEES his Father do: for what things soever he DOES, these also does the Son likewise." (John 5:19) Following his resurrection Jesus is now the revealer of Gods will unto all he chooses to belong to himself (Matthew 11:27) These are of those whom Jesus truly knows. And who to whom do the others belong? Most flesh will not be saved, for most love the lie (Matthew 24:22-24) And the lie is? Here is one: 'That all are saved even though they continue to live in sin'. "...let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, EVEN AS HE is righteous (the righteousness of God is a gift inherited by the new birth (Romans 8:9-10)). He that commits sin is of the devil...Whoever is born of God does not commit sin: for his SEED remains in him (fruitful unto Gods will): and he cannot sin, because he is born of God." (1John3:7,8,9) If any fall away and produce not unto the will of God, they will not enter the Kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21) And to all who are born of Gods Spirit does the Spirit of God say, "...work out your salvation with fear and trembling." (Philippians 2:12) So what minister truly belongs to Jesus Christ? You will know them by their fruit, both in word and in deed. Any who claim that true believers will always sin does not belong to God, nor are they known by him. "Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His." (Romans 8:9) Faith without fruitful works of the Spirit is dead (Romans 8:4). Unfortunately, most would rather bathe in whitewash. Few find life (Luke 13:23-24) Yes, Jesus did die for the sins of all, and that so ones past sins might be remembered no more, however, that does not mean that the sin that remains in you are you cleansed of. Ones house must be swept clean and remain as clean to qualify unto the first resurrection. Born again believers have an obligation to mortify the deeds of the flesh (Romans 8:12-13). Walk by the Spirit...May the Truth set you free!

According to the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 7:23), Jesus Christ stated that there will be a day in which many people will not enter the kingdom of Heaven, but rather will be told by Jesus Christ to depart from Him. The worrying thing is that these people who hear this statement from Jesus Christ are said to: 1. Be many (not a few). 2. Profess(ed) Jesus Christ as their Lord. 3. Have done ministry work on earth in Jesus Christ's name. Yet, they are still told that the Lord Jesus did not know them and to depart from Him (not entering the kingdom of Heaven), being characterized as: 1. Not doers of God's will. 2. Doers of lawlessness. I am going to post (below) an exposition I did of Matthew 7:21-26 so that the reader can understand how it is that these people fell into this state. *Exposition Of Matthew 7:21-26* // 21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles? 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’ 24 Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because its foundation was on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell-and great was its collapse!” // - Matthew 7 VERSE 21: in this verse the Lord makes the point that not everyone who confesses Him as Lord enters the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do the will of the Father will enter the kingdom of Heaven (and in the following verses we will find out what the will of the Father is, in context). VERSES 22 & 23: many (not a few) people on judgment day will have (1) a confession that Jesus Christ is Lord and will have (2) done ministry work in His name, yet they will be told by the Lord Jesus: 'I never knew you; depart from me'; being characterized as workers of lawlessness. VERSES 24 & 25: in this verse it states 'therefore', meaning it is a conclusion formed from the previous text. The word "therefore" is translated from the Greek word "οὖν". Strong's states: "οὖν a conjunction indicating that something follows from another necessarily". The conclusion to be formed from the previous text is that anyone who both (1) hears & (2) does the Lord’s words is a wise-man. This is in contrast to those of the previous verses who confessed Jesus as Lord and did ministry work in His name, yet they were characterized as being lawless (and we will see in verse 26, that these people of the previous verses heard the Lord’s words/commands but did not do them. That was their problem and why they were characterized as being 'lawless' in verse 23). The Lord’s words, which are to be heard and obeyed, in context are the teachings from the Sermon-On-The-Mount. So doing the Lord’s words, from the Sermon-On-The-Mount, is related to doing the will of the Father found in verse 21. It is these doers of His words which are considered wise builders (who built their house upon a rock). These doers houses will stand the storm/judgment and they will enter the kingdom of Heaven, since they are contrasted to those who do not enter Heaven in verse 21. Notice, the issue the Lord is stressing in these verses, concerning ones entrance into the kingdom of Heaven, is not concerning the doctrine one believes, but rather the way which one lives in light of His words/commands. VERSES 26 & 27: in these verses the Lord teaches that anyone who merely hears His words but does not do them, they are foolish, because they built their house (their ministry/life) on sand (not the rock). Such a house can not stand against the storm/judgment. These people who build on sand are those in verses 21-23 who have a profession that Jesus Christ is Lord and even did ministry work in His name, yet lived lawlessly and not according to Jesus Christ's law/words (which in direct context is the Sermon-On-The-Mount, but one could extrapolate it further to all the Lord’s teaching/words, including the teaching of the Apostles commissioned by the Lord). Remember that this, according to our Lord, will be many people on judgment day (who professed Him as Lord and did ministry work in His name), not a few. That is very sobering. ***START OF SIDE NOTE*** I do not believe the Lord is teaching salvation is by works in these verses, but He is at least teaching that certain works of obedience are a necessary fruit/evidence of a saving faith and real salvation. For example, that is why in the previous verses (Matthew 7:16-20) the Lord talks about a tree and its fruit. The type of tree one is, is evidenced by their fruit/works. Entering and remaining in the covenant is not (as covenant-nomism teaches): 1. one enters into the covenant via a repentant-faith and then... 2. one remains in the covenant via works. Entering and remaining in the covenant is: 1. one enters into the covenant via a repentant-faith and then... 2. one remains in the covenant via the same way they entered the covenant (i.e. a repentant-faith), in which works are a necessary fruit/evidence that one has a repentant-faith (that is they now live for God through faith in Christ Jesus their lord: Acts 20:21, Acts 26:20, etc.) and has been regenerated (and is being led) with the indwelling Holy Spirit. In the Gospel's the Lord mainly spoke about two things: doing the will of God and the kingdom of God. Christianity is about living to please God (which includes His will/kingdom) and living to bless others, rather than living for one's life in this world (as their main priority). ***END OF SIDE NOTE*** Luke's parallel of the Sermon-On-The-Mount teaches the same thing even more clearly (though Luke renders the sermon slightly differently). Luke states: // 46“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? 47Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: 48he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. 49But the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the stream broke against it, immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.” // - Luke 6 To use the term "lord" means one recognizes this person is in authority over them and thus they should obey them. The Lord Jesus is basically saying: "if you call me 'lord' (which means you recognize me as your authority) then why don't you obey what I tell you to do?" (which in context are the commands from the Sermon-On-The-Mount). One has to hear and do to be wise; hearing and not doing is the what the fool does. Again the Sermon-On-The-Mount ends with a conclusion (in both Matthew's and Luke's rendering) of two types of people: 1. Foolish people: these are those who (A) profess Jesus as Lord (some even doing ministry work in His name, in Matthew's version), (B) hear the words/commands of Jesus and who (C) don't do/obey the words/commands of Jesus which they heard. 2. Wise people: these are those who (A) hear the words/commands of the Lord Jesus and (B) they do/obey the words/commands of the the Lord Jesus which they heard. // As he said these things, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts at which you nursed!” But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” // - Luke 11:27-28 // If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing... // - 1 Timothy 6:3-4a // But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, *DECEIVING* yourselves. // - James 1:22 *CHECK THE REPLIES SECTION FOR A REBUTAL OF AN ALTERNATIVE INTERPRETATION*

*(PART 1 OF 2)* *Responding to objection/alternative interpretation: "the problem was these men relied on their works rather than their faith in Jesus to save them."* Some people claim the problem the people had in Matthew 7:22-23 was that they were trusting in their works to justify them rather than trusting in their faith alone in Christ Jesus to save them. Verse 21, of Matthew 7, states: // Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. // Some people interpret the will of the Father in this verse above with a cross reference to the Gospel of John. // For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.” // - John 6:40 These people then implicitly assume that believing in Jesus does not include obeying the commands of Jesus. I have a few areas of disagreement with this alternate interpretation of Matthew 7. Before I state these areas of disagreement, I want to comment on hermeneutics (the science of interpretating a text). Stated below are basic hermeneutics in their order of priority: 1. (Firstly) Text: this is what the text in question states (it's etymology, syntax, etc.). 2. (Secondly) Context: this is the context of the preceding and proceeding verses; the context of the book (it's genre, theme, etc.); the context of the historical setting; the context of the author/recipients; etc. 3. (THIRDLY) Co-text: these are other verses, from other books in the Bible, which give information about the same concept the text in question is giving. Now I will mention my areas of disagreement. FIRST AREA OF DISAGREEMENT. My first area of disagreement with this interpretation, based on John 6:40, is that it ignores the text (which states the issue is that they are lawless, not that they did not believe) by imposing a co-text (John 6:40) into the passages. This is the incorrect order of priority; it should be first text, then context and then co-text. In the text these people are chastised for being workers of lawlessness; they are not chastised for lacking faith, nor are they chastised for their ministry works, nor are they chastised for bringing up their ministry works. SECOND AREA OF DISAGREEMENT. My second area of disagreement with this interpretation, based on John 6:40, is that it ignores the context (which gives us a conclusion of this issue in verses 24-27 of Matthew 7) by, again, jumping straight to co-text (as if it is a proof-text). The context of the text gives us a conclusion in verse 24, a conclusion which does not fit this alternative interpretation (my exposition above shows this). Another issue, concerning context, is the wider context of the Sermon-On-The Mount itself. The Sermon-On-The-Mount, which the texts in question are the conclusion of, itself contains warnings that certain violations of Christ's teachings will result in hell (for example: Matthew 18:8-9). Thus, one who violates these will not be entering the Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore, this alternative interpretation based on John 6:40, being a co-text, does not fit the wider context of the Sermon-On-The-Mount. THIRD AREA OF DISAGREEMENT. My third area of disagreement with this interpretation, based on John 6:40, is that I believe a more appropriate co-text is the one I gave: Luke 6:46-49. This co-text, of Luke 6:46-49, clearly fits the interpretation I gave of Matthew 7. It is also a parallel text of Matthew 7 and thus helps explain Matthew 7 more clearly. It is interesting that Luke's parallel text's rendering of the sermon does not mention people bringing up their ministry work (yet contains the same conclusion as Matthew's version); which shows us that people brining up their works is not the main issue concerning what is going wrong here (otherwise Luke completely left out the main issue and his rendering is useless as a warning). FOURTH AREA OF DISAGREEMENT. // Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. // - Matthew 7: 21 // For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.” // - John 6:40 This alternative interpretation seems to implicitly assume that believing in Jesus (as stated in John 6:40) does not include obeying the commands of Jesus. This is not found in the text itself nor is it a concept found in the Gospel of John itself--in fact, the exact opposite is found. Firstly, the question I have: what are we believing about Jesus? Are we not believing He is Lord (a lord is someone who is in authority who we are to obey)? So does not believing in Jesus as the Lord implicitly mean one responds to Him, and treats Him, as the Lord (if they truly believe it)? The term lord is not some religious title, as some people today seem to believe, but rather it is a title of rulership (lord's usually had slaves/servants and lots of land). If a person acknowledged someone as their lord, they recognized that they had a duty to submit to and obey this person. The Bible is about believing on the LORD Jesus. People in the ancient world would have implicitly known what it meant to receive/believe Jesus as their lord (they would not have divided believing Him as their lord with obeying Him). We must not deny the lordship of Jesus/God over our lives via: 1. Our beliefs (we must believe He is Lord). 2. Our thoughts (we must bring them into obedience to Christ; for example: 2 Corinthians 10:5). 3. Our words/confession (we must confess He is Lord; for example: Matthew 10:33). 4. Our actions (we must live as if He is the Lord; for example: Titus 1:16). God is looking for a genuine belief which changes #2, #3 and #4 above. Secondly, the Gospel of John does not distinguish between believing/receiving Jesus with receiving Jesus' words/commands--they are treated as the same phenomena. The Gospel of John starts by calling Jesus the Word. // In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1) // It talks about people receiving Jesus in contrast to those who did not (thus they received Him in a way His own did not; i.e. Luke 19:11-26). // He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, (John 1:11-12) // No where does the Gospel of John make a distinction between receiving/believing Jesus V.S. receiving His words/commands. The two go hand-in-in-hand. // The one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day. (John 12:48) // // Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me. (John 14:23-24) // The Gospel of John interchangeably correlates believing in Jesus with obeying Jesus. // Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. (John 3:36) // As the epistle to the Hebrews also states. // And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him, (Heb 5:9) // // And to whom did he swear that they would not enter his rest, but to those who were *DISOBEDIENT*? So we see that they were unable to enter because of *UNBELIEF*. (Heb 3:18-19) // God's people hear Jesus' voice and they FOLLOW Jesus. // My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. (John 10:27) // // So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, (John 8:31) (a disciple is a Christian: Acts 11:26) // // Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death. (John 8:51) // The same author of the Gospel of John also wrote the 1st epistle of John, in which it states: // Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him; (1 John 3:18-19) // The text in John 6:40 does nothing against my interpretation of Matthew 7. FIFTH AREA OF DISAGREEMENT I think this alternate interpretation is missing the main issue the text is stressing (in fact, it is completely the opposite). The main issue seems to be stressing that one's profession does not mean anything if the life does not follow that profession. I will explain. The text in Matthew 7 mentions that these people emphatically call Jesus "Lord, Lord". In the Hebrew culture to repeat a word is to empathize it (for example, God is called: "holy, holy, holy). The text also mentions the works they do they do in the name of the Lord (these are the type of works which require the proclamation of the Lord's authority to be done). What these texts are highlighting here are that no amount of vocal proclamation means anything without the life following that profession (that is why the text starts with: not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord').

*(PART 2 OF 2)* THE AREA OF DECEPTION I want to now look at the issue of deception. The Bible quite a few times warns believers not to be deceived. However, it never states something like: "do not be deceived by a doctrine which teaches 'a Christian can not live in a state of continual, unrepentant sin and still be saved'; because such a doctrine would be salvation by works and not by grace". Rather, the warnings to not be deceived are stating the exact opposite, it seems. // For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one *DECEIVE* you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. // - Ephesians 5:5-6 // You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. Little children, let no one *DECEIVE* you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother. // - 1 John 3:5-10 // Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be *DECEIVED*: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, or drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. // - 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 // But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, *deceiving* yourselves. // - James 1:22. // Do not be *DECEIVED*: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. // - Galatians 6:7-8 (living in the flesh ends in corruption which is stated in contrast to [and thus the negation of] the end being eternal life).

You missed the whole passage that GOD doesn't desire anyone to perish on 2 peter 3:9 if you read the 3:1 it talks about 2 groups. The scoffers and the beloved which is the elect. Peter is saying that to the elect only and not the scoffer.

Whatever it is, you don't have to do it, OSAS. In fact if you do the WILL OF THE FATHER, you are earning your salvation. And Jesus went on to say in v24 " Any one who hears these words of mine AND DOES THEM IS LIKE A WISE MAN.....and any one who does not do them is a FOOLISH MAN. But GES believes you can be the foolish man, still be saved and the one who does them, is trying to earn your salvation.

Even a Christian cannot brush aside the worship of Jehovah as God. In Revelation 1:5 the Son of God called himself "Jesus Christ, 'The Faithful Witness.'' When on earth as a man he was a Jew, an Israelite, to whose nation the words of Isaiah 43:10 were written: "'You are my witnesses, ' is the utterance of Jehovah, 'even my servant whom I have chosen.'" Jesus demonstrated that he was a faithful and true witness of Jehovah God. His genuine disciples today must be the same kind of witnesses, Jehovah's.

Yahusha, warned the christians. Matthew 7:21-23 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Who else would believe to be prophesying in the Messiah's Name? Who else would think they have cast out devils in the Messiah's Name? Who else would think they have done wonderful things in the Messiah's Name? Isn't it the christians? Hardcore that is? But you know why the Messiah would tell them to go away? Because they have been worshipping and serving the wrong messiah. The false one. The Messiah said, in John 5:43 I have come in my Father's name, and you did not accept me: if another shall come in his own name, him you will accept. They have been worshipping jesus. That's not the Messiah. The Messiah's name who's come in the Father's Name, Yahuah, is Yahusha. Christians have been trained and indoctrinated in this false paradigm under this false faith. They do not know the Father's Name. They do not keep the covenant. They think they can be saved with faith alone. They think they no longer need to keep the commandments. They think they do not need to live a set-apart life, just as how the Messiah and His disciples lived their lives. They think it's okey to continue with their pagan practices and pagan worships. They think it's okey not to keep Yahuah's feast days and Sabbaths. They have been living their lives NOT according to the teachings of the Scriptures and think they are children of our Aluahim. They are badly mistaken. They need to wake up from this lie that the devil has created. They need to stop worshipping this false god under a made-up name jesus or hesus or jehova, or yahweh. They need to stop thinking the Messiah and the Father is one God, which clearly contradicts Scriptures. They need to stop preaching false doctrines. Otherwise, they will hear from the Messiah the dreadful words of, "Depart from me, you workers of iniquity!" Messiah was never called christ by His disciples. He's called the Son of Yahuah and the Messiah. Yes, the Messiah is Aluah(God). He was WITH the Father when THEY created the heavens and the earth. They were working together before the concept of time was even created. Yes, the Father wants us to glorify His Son whom He love. But no one else should be worshipped greater than or equal to the Father, Yahuah. We need genuine relationship with our Messiah to be saved. Only a genuine relationship with Him, time spent with Him daily and on His Sabbaths, is what's gonna transform us to be acceptable before our Father in heaven. That's what will help us strive to live a set-apart life by keeping the commandments. That's what faith in our Messiah means. It means we obey Him and abide in Him and He will abide in us.

Believe, have faith in Christ, which is the Word. The Word is the Bible. Does your life follow everything the bible says? Be a doer of the Word, not hearer only? Be renewed with the washing of the Word daily? Crucified the old man? God made a Covenant with you. His promises never changed. Are you keeping the Covenant with Him? Do you know you have a part in it? Are you still continuing practice sins without repentance wholeheartedly and turning away from sins? And be changed from glory to glory since you believed?

False gospel. All you have to do to be saved is believe in Christ. That’s it. Very simple. That’s the Gospel. “And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.” - Romans 11:6 It’s either grace or it’s works, it CANNOT be both. The truth is grace; we are saved by grace through faith, not of works.
@Ahnleshak

Sorry, no, it IS by faith alone. You must have faith that Jesus/Yeshua is the risen Son of God, who died for our sins. It is a GIFT from the Savior, and as such you can't do anything to earn a gift; either you accept it or you don't. There are many things we should do and ways we should live as practicing Christians, but that has nothing to do with salvation; that has more to do with rewards in heaven. Although I have been baptized as a public admission of my acceptance of Jesus as Savior, it's not a requirement for salvation, nor is there anyplace in God's word that makes "confession" a requirement for salvation.

All that the father gives me will come to me and he that comes to me I will in no wise cast out but raise him up on the last day. It is the will of my father that I lose not one. All of you unbelieving free will goofballs think everyone is the same. The scripture is pretty clear about that. You think faith is of yourself and a choice and the Bible debunks both. You just plain don't believe the scriptures straight across the board from the purpose and scope of the law to the nature of the fall and sin and man's deadness and inability. Why Isn’t Faith a Decision? - Bob Wilkin & Ken Yates ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rTX_tdgmLTA.html Bob Wilkin and Mike Lii are answering a criticism about our position and definition of the nature of faith. Is faith a decision or is it something else?

This is precisely how NOT TO DO exegesis - jump to John for your preferred meaning of what the will of the Father is, when Jesus explains what it is right there in the context of Matthew 5-7. There is an accepted rule for interpreting Scripture, which you are completely ignoring - when a verse has the word "therefore" in it go and look what it is THERE FOR. The THERE FOR is explained n verses 24-27. Jesus explains what the will of the Father is here - And it is to become obedient to the words spoken by Jesus in Matthew chapters 5-7. Nothing at all to do with His words in the gospel of John. By the way this is NOT perfect obedience called for here, but rather progressively obedience, by the help of the Great Helper - the Spirit of HOLINESS. The alternative to this is to live in a lawless fashion - you chose.

God does not love everyone. He hates workers of iniquity (Psalm 5:5) and the arrogant (Psalm 11:5). He hated Esau before Esau was even born (Romans 9:13). Also 2 Peter 3:9 in context is talking about believers.

Jesus didn't die on the cross for everyone who believes in him. He taught that obedience is required to enter his kingdom: Matthew 12:46-50 says: "While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.” He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” Jesus also warned: Matthew 5:30 "And if your right hand causes you to stumble, (sin) cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell."

False Gospel… Romans 11:6 proves you wrong. “And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.” We are either saved by grace or by works, it CANNOT be both. Grace is the true way, not works. Works are not needed or required for salvation. Works are only for rewards in heaven. If works were required for salvation, you would have to obey the law all your life without a single mistake, which means you would have to be sinless all your life. Are you sinless? No, you are not, therefore you need a Savior. Jesus Christ is that Savior; Jesus Christ did all the work for us, including dying for us, thereby defeating sin and death. And through our belief in Him, His righteousness is imputed unto us and we are justified in the eyes of the Father, and we are sanctified. Believers cannot be condemned not matter what, and no one and nothing can snatch us from the hand of the Lord Jesus or the Father.

The “will of the Father” is to believe in Jesus Christ.

Matthew 5:30 is making a point about how serious sin is, He’s not telling us to literally pluck out our eyes or to “stop sinning.” We are sinners already. Stopping sin does nothing; once you sin you’re hell bound. Are you sinless? No, you are not, therefore you are on your way to hell without Christ, who did everything for you. He died for our sins, so if you think we need to “stop sinning” to be saved, not only are you saying that Jesus’ death was insufficient and pointless, but that He was also wrong and an idiot. You spit in His face…

"Wonderful works" is the KJV, the correct translation reveals this point better. GES has the right doctrine but the wrong "Bible."
