we stopped on our way across country to film a few acoustic songs. the day in Tahoe state park was incredible and we had to make use of the dreamy light. Old song, i know, but still fun to play...
I found this song when I was 13. I was playing Minecraft, fell in love with this entire album and starting listening to ONLY this album while I played. I followed them along on the rest of their journey with the acts. I would listen to them every single day. Im now 26, literally have been listening to TDH for half of my entire life, and still listen to their music every single day.
Today is the day I discovered this guy and his band. Ever get that really excited feeling when you realize there's so much awesome shit out there you never even knew about?
Drew Brigner YES! When my son first played some to me I felt so excited because I had completely given up hope of finding anything that could touch me from the inside out in the same way that Elvis, Queen, ELO, etc ever could.... AND THEN SUDDENLY THIS!! Yayyyy!!!
I know this comment is 3+ years old (and this song I'm gonna post is as old) but this (=CQvcGK0MWJM) @3:28 surpasses this easy, in my opinion. The Dear Hunter: His Hands Matched His Tongue acoustic is the RU-vid Title.
@@TarekWriter I know this comment is three years old, but I know what video you’re talking about without even searching it. Casey’s still crazy talented
Im in a Folk Rock Band. My music has NO influence of this style, yet The Dear Hunter is the greatest musical influence to me. It's hard to put it into words. Maybe its the fact that you aren't the normal band, maybe its your musical chemistry together, maybe its the fact that when Casey sings, you know he means it. The answer is all of the above and more. This band is more than music. It is the definition of creativity. Why are they good? "Maybe we're just never meant to know why" Thanks DH
I Marveled at this man's voice on prog Nation at Sea ., i really did'nt know who they were, and went in for the last cold drink of the day, and The Dear Hunter were playing...surprised the shite outta me!! What a voice, and the the passion was very , very nice, in my opinion...
I watch this video daily and it never ceases to amaze me. That man is a modern day bard, and a right perfect gentleman. Even if he did make off with my Sharpie.
Oh my God. I usually spend my time on RU-vid trolling, but I just can't do it this time. You are so talented. I don't know what else to say. You amazed me.
Yep, same feeling I had when I discovered this band. Make sure to watch his acoustic performances filmed in random people living rooms - Search for Casey Crescenzo acoustic
I know I can't really do more than what I do for you guys - which is show you to my friends - but I must say that few bands are as good as you are. I can't express all this song makes me feel. Thanks for the art, guys. Sincerely.
I love how all the songs actually go somewhere. Very rarely is it just simple, straight forward verse/chorus/v/c/b/c recycled garbage over and over. It builds and twists and turns and lifts you up to another place.
Isn't it strange seeing a musician with the actual pipes to back up what is on the record? Thank goodness for real artists who are sadly becoming so few and far between these days.
this man is the reason that i just got my Fender acoustic, im a beginner i hope one day i can play half as good as Casey. The Dear Hunter F'n rules!!!!!
