@Poppinbee Lol... for context's sake, this was the last song he played, and at this point it was about 2:00 in the morning and we had been hanging out for around 5 hours, most of which time consisted of totally inane banter and silliness (with the occasional song thrown in). We were all getting fairly goofy and silly by this point in the night. If fact, about 10 minutes after this Casey and one of my friends got into a sword fight (with real swords).
I know this has nothing to do with the actual performance but I love the Dream Theater album covers on the wall behind Casey. I've always loved the concept album flair of both DT and TDH.
@Lun4rSoul Oddly enough, the primary reason for this actually was for somebody's birthday. But more specifically, he was doing a cross-country trip and playing a bunch of "living room shows" for fan club members along the way. This was one of them. He did a total of 8. You can see clips from the first 7 on the TCS DVD. (Mine was sort of a last minute addition)
This is beautiful. Forgive me, but the singing in the bath ground makes is that much more real. Imagine your favorite singer in your or a friends living room? Wouldn't you sing along? I know I would.
@beanbeanbags Lol... I don't think any of us were even thinking about it. Probably just a couple of my friends unconsciously singing along not even realizing it was being recorded.
Casey did a living room tour for lifetime fan club members back in 2010. I live right down the street from the studio where he was recording and I'm a lifetime member, so he agreed to stop in and do a show for us.
@matttheawesome1095 I offered him a glass of water and a cupcake. True Story. (Also... it was part of his acoustic living rooms tour... check out the Color Spectrum DVD for more info).
wait... did he just randomly come over? how did you get him to do it?? lol. If i could... id ask him to sing to me n girlfriend for her next birthday. cus TDH is our favorite band :)
