Sharing my experience living in Israel for a year. I lived in Jerusalem while studying at Hebrew University and it had a huge impact on my life. I wanted to share about what Israeli culture is really like and how it feels to walk in some of the holiest places on Earth. This week is Yom Haatzmaut, Israel's Independence Day so I wanted to share my story of living in this unique and special place.

I've been sort of binge watching your content and i'm learning so much about Judaism. What wonderful memories. Regardless of politics, i have always wanted to visit Israel because of the beautiful history. My ex spent about a decade, on and off, in various locations in the Middle East and he always said how beautiful and wonderful Israel was. Thank you for sharing your memories with us.

It's so nice to hear that someone as vibrant as you also feels anxious about those worst-case things like I do. Honestly, I'm enjoying this quarantine because it means I don't have to be in crowded situations. I have friends who narrowly escaped a mass shooting, so that's always in the back of my mind when I go places like a grocery store or a church or a concert. I'm so sorry about your friend. I saw your post about her on istagram and she seemed like a lovely person.

If you live in the US and are not in the Tri state area .. you should def get a firearms licence and get training on how to draw and accurately fire a handgun, after learning the safety of handling firearms properly of course ... You will then be licenced and knowledgeable on handling your gun as well as being able to draw and fire on anybody who is putting your life or your families life in danger ... As Americans, we have the right to defend ourselves using deadly force when warranted ... Much more so than many places in the world, even with how many problems our system may have ... Still much better than others

I can understand not wanting to be in large crowds. These days the only times I feel comfortable large crowds here in Brooklyn is when I go to a synagogue that’s pretty large. Are used to have an at 770 Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights on Shabbos morning at 11 o’clock minyan. It would get so crowded there during the shemoneh earwigs that literally when you breathe in person in front of you is breathing out. I also used to dovven an this HUGE shul in Borough Park. I felt OK in both of those places because I felt like everyone was there for the same thing. I don’t necessarily feel like that another large crowds. It was very nice to hear about your experience in Israel, really makes me want to go there at some point. I have never been and I would like to go very much. I’ve tried a couple times to go but was frustrated both times I think they were outside of my control.

Hi honey.... Thank you for taking me with you on this journey ... this is the good "stuff" life is made of for me... The Holy Land, even though this, my smartphone and your sweet, soft voice is so gently powerful that the mystery ... the magic, so-to-speak of what I call it as, "The Place of Places" is palpable... Israel is my "bucket list" journey and God willing, He'll get me there... I'm gonna speak positive into that and trust that Divine Intervention Thang will make it happen... Much Grandmotherly love to you all ... Edit: Please forgive me. I am so very rude. As you were remembering your Dear Friend... taken from you in the most unspeakably painful way, I prayed for your miraculous comfort, healing and deliverance from the overwhelming sadness that yet remains. I am so very sorry....

2006 seems like a lifetime ago! Many things changed:) I'm writing from my phone in a small city close to Tel Aviv, and here independence day evening, few hours ago, was basically families at the balconies putting loud music and hanging lamps and flags. It was really different from what we're used to, but we do what we can. Did you adapt quickly to our Chutzpah in Israel? No politeness, no distance, everybody's in everybody's face? 😂 I hope you get to visit again.! If you or anyone else, have questions, please ask! Happy independence day!

Your enthusiasm and honesty flowed off the screen. Although one can understand your anxiety it is a shame it prevented you in partaking of the other delights of Israel as you mentioned outdoor gatherings etc. You understandably concentrate on Jerusalem a lot and yes a magical place but did you explore the rest of Israel especially the open culture of Tel Aviv as well as venturing to Masada and the Dead Sea. Like many you seem to not include a must visit to Yad Vashem although you may have gone but it is so important to keep that “Never Again” message alive. So thank you for your vlog it was as they say SABABA! 👍🇮🇱

I came to the USA when I was studying -- I only had 6 months left to get my master's degree in psychology. And as a 25 years old woman, it was the first time I was all by myself...I'd cry on the phone with my mom counting down the days to go back to Brazil, and then... I met my husband! Oh well, never finished my masters, got married, had a baby and although I still wonder how my life would've been if I had gone back to Brazil (probably PhD by now), I can say and I am pleased with how my life turned out to be.

Would you and your family consider making aliyah in the future? I went in February before the Covid-19 impacted the world. Yes, the archaeological, agriculture, political, and religious history in Isreal is amazing.

Shalom Aleichem from Weirton WV. I am of the Messianic Jewish faith who desires to get better flying my drone and possibly finding home in Israel... I am currently a steel worker in West Virginia near Pittsburgh in the United States. I love to listen to Michael Ben David and Joshua Aaron!

Hello I have watched your video, thanks it was good and I have some questions about living in Israel, I will be thankful if you answer me or if you don’t know exactly, ask Israeli people because I don’t have any source to ask, then answer me 1- I have master degree of political science and according to my mind-field interest my first question is “ Is it possible for me to find a security or police type jobs in Israel? “ 2- I saw a video about a lady who lived in Israel in a time I think and she said if you’re living in Israel many people would ask you ” Why are you here? “ and think maybe you’re an unsuccessful person who decided to live in Israel rather than Europe or North America, So the chance about getting job in job agencies or by an employer would be weak. Are these statements true? Thank you,

My Jewish Mommy Life Sorry i was so busy this week ..homeschool and cleaning keeps me away from you tube :)) that’s so great . I live in south africa , so i know what you mean when you say not to ge political 😁 as people tend to do the same when they hear where we are from. but back to the country thar i love...we try to visit israel every 3/4 years . It must be a blessing to live there for a time. I always felt that jewish children going to Israel to study of stay are sooo mature and ready for everything live throughs at them later on. Have a blessed week and thank you for you channel i love it.
