We're not pulling any punches on this one! (Yeah bad pun I know) Let's punch it up a few notches and make a Planter's Punch! What kind of punch is Planter's Punch? Is it a punch? Sure, just not like what you are accustomed to. It dates back hundreds of years. During the 17th century when sailors ran out of beer and wine. You can’t have a ship full of sailors without something to drink. So, they concocted something made of spirit, citrus, sweetener, spice, and dilution. A "punch." The Planter's Punch has evolved over the years and its true history on who invented it is debatable. It's constantly being reinvented and I figure, can be owned by whoever wants to claim it. Why Not? Let’s make one...

PLANTER'S PUNCH RECIPE
--------------------
IN A COCKTAIL SHAKER:
1oz (30ml) - DARK RUM
1oz (30ml) - LIGHT RUM
1/2oz (15ml) - ORANGE CURAÇAO
2oz (60ml) - ORANGE JUICE
1oz (30ml) - PINEAPPLE JUICE
1oz (30ml) - MANGO JUICE
1/2oz (15ml) - SIMPLE SYRUP
1/4oz (7.5ml) - LIME JUICE
1/4 tsp - GRENADINE
1 DASH - ANGOSTURA BITTERS
-TOSS IN SOME ICE AND GIVE IT A GOOD SHAKE
-STRAIN INTO A COLLINS OR HURRICANE GLASS FILLED WITH FRESH ICE.
-SPLASH OF SODA TO TOP (OPTIONAL)
-GARNISH WITH AN ORANGE SLICE AND A CHERRY.
