I just got into magic as a lifelong tcg player. The first deck I tried building was a horror themed commander deck. Awesome to see this new plain coming at the end of the year. I'll have to pick up the set of precons to add to my "battle box" of precon decks.
I love rats and squirrels so I can't wait until bloomburrow, after that the moth theme also looks cool so I really want that aswell. But, I just love collecting rats and I love squirrels too, so I can't wait for those.
I really hope since one of the fallout commanders has an energy theme its wizards way of hinting we're going back to Kaladesh. Its been like 6 years and I actually really enjoyed the planes flavor
At what point, to you, would it be too much? I mean, imagine if Games Workshop released a set of Marvel or Dr. Who figures you can wargame with in 40K matches.Players would be pissed.
Wanted to chime in, it’s pronounced like “ Brian Jakes”. I learned that a while ago and was surprised because I pronounced it as it was written too. Was a huge Redwall fan.
Man, you really hate universes beyond huh? I don't get why old players hate it so much. I just started playing again, after 20 years, and I find it very cool and fun. And apparently it sells very well too.
Honestly tho, I will say i'm gonna spend alot on a marvel set mainly just a big hulk fan and will spend what I need to , just to make it as dope as possible.
I'm wasn't the biggest fan of the western style ; but I need a land that has a tumbleweed on it 😅 / and initially wasn't to hype for assassin creed set but I've wanted some new assassin creatures for awhile now so I'm fairly excited for it now
Don’t agree with you on magic knockoffs of existing ip. The story department for magic has been hot garbage for a long time so it just comes off as cheap junk that makes it look like they couldn’t afford the licensing rights. Magic doesn’t enforce quality with its own property so at least having a 3rd party force them to helps
What I wanna know the most. Are remastered sets gonna have as many serialized as the last ravnica remastered ? Hope not because wizzs has been doing a very gpod job lately reducing the ammount of serials to make them feel special again. But still the most impprtsnt is they dont make the chromatic lantern, cloudstone curio and thorn ametist mistakes again.
I'm really hoping that Modern Horizons 3 is more on par with Modern Horizons 1 than Modern Horizons 2. 🤞🤞 I was not a fan of how format breaking #2 was and I liked what the first set did so I really hope it's more in that direction.
After Hasbro shit all over the WotC employees I cancelled my preorders and will not buy any sealed product. They’re not getting another dime of my money. If I really want a new card for one of my decks, I’ll just buy singles.
Still not a fan of Universes Beyond. Never bought one of those sets and never will. Just be creative with your own IP rather than licensing others’ ideas, Wizards
As a new year resolution, I decided not to buy magic products at all, as I do not want to finance million dollar bonuses of Hasbro executives that fire thousands of employees on Christmas.
Sets are designed 3 years in advance- not a month ahead. Clue edition isnt the results of low toy sales, but i know you have to make your Wotc Game channel anti Wotc to seem edgy
Ravnica remastered: Not gonna buy this product because of the price. But good this set comes with some important reprints. Murders at Karlov Manor: Just give us a normal Ravnica Guilds set without this strange Detective flavor. Just gonna buy some singles. Fallout Commander Decks: Not a setting for mtg. Hope the sultai Deck will be nice. Thunder junction: Not a setting for mtg. Just gonna buy singles. Marvel: Are you f***ing serious? What kind of BS is this? Boycott. Modern Horizons 3: maybe it will be even draftable. If not, just gonna buy singles. Assassins Creed: maybe singles. Can't Imagine that I will like it. Bloomburrow: hell yeah. Hope it will be as good as wilds of eldraine or lost caverns of ixalan. Looks g forward to draft it. Duskmourn: Same as Bloomburrow.
Yeah it looks like and is shaped like Rakdos, but Rakdos is supposed to be massive. So unless he found a way to shrink, or it's just perspective then it might be a new character.
The year is 2078 modern horizons over 9000 is released. I'll cast my Alex Jones Conspiracy Divination sorcery, create X, x/x tokens of lizard shapeshifters with every effect and ability of every card on the battlefield, they have protection from Sayains.
I can't do Gifs here, but in my head, I see someone at WotC going "Clue? Really?! That doesn't make any sense." And then cut to a Hasbro executive dressed as emperor palpatine..."Do it!"
@@IappreciateyourtimeI would say no. Fallout and Doctor Who actually have fandoms and crossover appeal. Clue is literally just owned by Hasbro and that’s it.
I'm excited for this as well. I'm excited for the potential new commanders and pieces for my decks. The wild west theme could bring vehicles, equipment, maybe even a high noon enchantment or something
I just wanna know what the final fantasy set will be like. I'm curious about how they plan to use the materia system and different weapons you can get in the games. Will they be equipment? Will they be similar to backgrounds? 🤔
I know the diagram Wizard's put out is confusing but these are actually all the sets for the year. Bloomburrow and Duskmorn are the Summer and Fall Standard sets meaning that they should release around the same time-frame as WOE and LCI did in 2023.
They can skip the universe beyond products completely. As much as I love the game we don't need to have this many releases in a year, and some of the beyond stuff just doesn't fit into a deck due to art/theme being so far off from the original MTG vibe (I'm looking at you Dr Who). D&D and LOTRO worked fairly well being in the fantasy genre, but I still prefer the actual MTG universe.
I agree. I appreciate them doing it from time to time but I don’t want to venture out too much. Stay true to what makes magic, magic. It feels like soon we will be getting God of War, and/or Star Wars
I am honestly just excited for and going to be saving my money for the products that are slated for 2025. Looking most forward the what they do with the Final Fantasy IP.
I’m excited for outlaws, bloomburrow and duskmourne, I just hope that they don’t get the streets of new capenna and have a bunch of meh cards and crappy commanders sets that are difficult to upgrade, plus with outlaws I better see cowboys type along with a boost to rogues, cause I’m assuming we’ll see a boost in assassin types with assassins creed
You apparently; you own more than one edition of monopoly because of the same reason you'll buy another edition of clue plus it's holiday gift varient what costs three times the price. In all seriousness, no Clue who it's for.
@@casually_lurking realistically I have a feeling either my wife or my mom is gonna get this for me for my birthday and maybe I'll make a commander deck or two out of it
I have a stupid question coming, and this is from someone who has never played a single game of magic but collected the invasion set when I was 10. I like the concept idea of Duskmourn. I'm thinking about collecting the set and eventually learning to play. Can I learn/play/build a deck with just Duskmourn cards?
Never gonna happen but I'd love to see MK in universes beyond. Or opposite and get Pokemon. Imagine the possibilities with Pokemon. Have an ability called Evolution to search out the next evo for individual mons. Maybe as a secret lair since they're doing MLP. Maybe even Metroid. Or Fable. Witcher. Halo.
You hating Universes Beyond so much, but loving Bloomburrow is so confusing to me. Seems like you're using your position to complain. That's so weird to me. Definitely the last video of yours I'll watch. Negativity is very off-putting.
I’ve gotten fortunate with pulling several retro border shock lands from the collector packs of Ravnica remastered! I think I’ve opened 4 or 5 packs and I’ve pulled 6 or 7 shock lands(I can’t remember exact numbers lol)
I do not intend to buy any physical Magic products in 2024. I will stick to Magic Arena as a free-to-play player. I will spend my money on other TCGs instead, such as Lorcana.
Honestly it bugs me that they missed out on the biggest opportunity to use Elder Scrolls which would have gone perfectly with MTG, the Daedra, dragons, wizards, things already in MTG but more of it in so that they can be played out the set and integrated well into tons of other stuff. It is what it is, though 🤷🏽♂️
Fallout is one of my all time favorite video game franchises. The world and lore are amazing .... Mtg is one of my favorite tangible games of all time. The worlds and lore are amazing.... I do not like them combining. It sort of ruins magic for me and takes me out of why I love both so much, by muddling the waters too much. Just my opinion.
Even though I said to myself I would avoid buying too much from wotc, but cmon, it's in my blood to buy two booster boxes of Bloomburrow. Ya cant just drop a set full of anthropomorphic animals and not expect me to geek out.
Clue is such an out-dated game at this point. Better alternatives include Mysterium, Obscurio, Deception, and loosely, Betrayal at House on the Hill. There are also some Eldrich themed games that scratch that itch with better design.
So wait you do a video literally titled how WOTC and Hasbro is evil then a few hours later promote the year's line up. Can't have your cake and eat it to bud. People wonder why nothing in mtg changes and it just gets worse for the player base.
Why can't we have all of it? The Collaborations, New planes, and revisiting other locations? Like this year's line up looks to be giving us a little bit of everything.
I wasn’t with universe beyond. But I had a friend who refused to play magic. And now because of dr who plays cedh every Monday with my group. As long as we get more asses in seats Lfg
I'm not giving out any hype 'til Wizards pulls off a launch without hitches to trip over; 16 sets in one year tells me the odds of that landing, so "meh"?
Would be cook if they cycled though the elemental plains for dnd. Otherwise there are so many fantasy worlds one could create that would add a new twist.
As someone who is new to mtg I like how they are using fallout and lotr and assassins creed it’s actually what made me want to play the game and is a great way to draw in new players
