When you look at a big list of cryptocurrencies and their prices, it can be easy to wonder why they're priced the way they are. Don't a lot of them do the same thing? Why would one token be worth $500 each while another similar token is worth 30 cents?

Literally not one moment in this video actually explains why a business, government, or individual would relate real-world worth to a cryptocurrency, just a cross-comparison of how cryptocurrencies could be appealing (or not) against each other.

I’ve watched it twice, nothing in the video explains why a cryptocurrency is worth the quoted price. If I create a token, pre-mine 100 tokens. What dictates that each token is worth $10 or $100 or $10,000?? Just because I say so? I get that at some point it’s worth want people are willing to pay….so, in reality, the worth is based on hype? If I can convince some idiot to give me $10,000 each, is that it????

@@abuba6boo6 I disagree. What irritates me about crypto or my impressions of crypto... It seems to be heavily swayed by RU-vid viewership and click bait titles... All the price action predictions in every friggin video are just sickening. It's one thing to believe in something but to throw a price prediction with no basis to make the claim is just asinine to me.

If I start a coin only to be used for a closed network or community how do I put value to our private coin? Do I deposit actual money to back each coin? Such as $1.00 for 1 coin of ABC crypto?

@@BlockGeeks I'd like to see the advantages and disadvantages of starting a Blockchain from zero. Including the best programming languages that are implemented today (golang, python, JS etc). If I were to...let's say want to start my very own Bitcoin, what skills would I need (or which programming languages) in order to modify and deploy my new Blockchain. So a start-to-finish guide for someone who understands HOW blockchain works in theory but doesn't have a clue about how to modify and deploy one to get things running.

@@BlockGeeks Also, please do a video on a "hypothetical country" that has completely adopted a Blockchain based system. How does the country trade goods and services? How does it value it's number of coins? How many coins would need to be in distribution in order to have Billionaires and low income earners? How does security fair up? Voting? What if it could vote corrupt people out of office through Smart Contracts? Advantages and disadvantages of this please! Well, I have a lot more questions for you, hope this will be fine for now. It's a fiat currency that gets it's value from other fiat currency so its super retarded. I always laugh when people lose their life savings investing in crypto

But why? What do I care that it's limited if they have no real use. I can paint a bunch of very limited paintings but no one will care. I dont want to trade these with other people's paintings either. I am having a problem understanding the value of a crypto currency if the only real money application is buying, selling, or trading crypto with real money. Does anyone see the error in my train of thought and know how to break this down for me?

There are a few major stores that accept it, so there’s your value. However, it’s like baseball cards it has value to people who find value in it, but worthless to people or stores that don’t care about it.

It is like any other coin however it is "international". For the time being, there is few places that accept the coin as payment. That allied to what you said about only being used for trading makes it seem useless. However, that is because people are using it not like it was intended. Once we see more adoption, that will change.

I understand what traits and qualities give crypto it's value but let's say hypothetically tomorrow the whole world abandons fiat currency. What is governing the coins worth at that point. Is the value of an alt coin compared against bitcoin? Like bitcoin as the gold standard to all other crypto.. and if so what would govern bitcoins value? This is what I'm trying to wrap my head around. Assuming one day in the future however long from now fiat is abandoned and crypto is everyday use currency.

XRP is the gold of crypto and will be the standard by which all other cryptos will be measured. Fiat currencies will stick around for a little longer, and will be backed by XRP.

Going to watch 2nd video. What this video explained was basic economics not why cryto is valuable. The only value I see to crypto is a peer to peer transaction platform. Which wasn't even explained here. I want to understand very basic value. What is the utility of crypto? Ok peer to peer transaction capability outside the fiat banking system is a good start , but I need more in order to actually buy-in. Pun intended...

#Tokenomics doesn’t work! Tokenomics is the rug pull. you give us more coins so our wallet value doesn’t fall as quickly as the actual coin value falls, thus helping everyone to not sell because the value goes down so slowly you dot realize until your low, but hey you more coins!
