I find it ironic that my leopard gecko is the jumpy and flighty one while my baby crested gecko is very calm and likes coming out of his terrarium, my Leo is probably still settling in but still. They're both little angels either way and I wouldn't trade them for anything.

Can I ask, what UV setup are you using in the video? I'm using the canopy, but it takes up a lot of room on the mesh top. Cheers.

Another question: Nova is pretty jumpy. Is there a way I can pick her up with her being calm? I learned that if I scoop her up under her belly and put my thumb on her back, sometimes she won't care. But only sometimes. She will try to wriggle out a lot of the time.

Leopard Gecko, I just got a new crested gecko, and she is in a temporary tank with plastic plants until she gets big enough to be moved to a natural tank build tank. I was holding her, and I noticed a smell coming from the tank. It didn't smell like gecko poop. It smelled like moldy water at the bottom of the tank. I smelled one of the fake plants at the bottom, and that was what the smell was coming from. Should I do a full clean out even though she has only ben in there for 3 weeks? Or should I leave it and just wash off that plant? And is it normal for humid crested gecko tanks to have mold?

hello everyone, ive been following this channel over the last 4 weeks coming up to the date i got my new baby leopard gecko shes 2 months old, i think its a she as i got her from pets at home and ive heard there normaly always a female. only got her on Friday so shes still settling in. when i went to check on her last night she still seemed very intimidated by me and i did pick her up in the pets store and she was really relaxed which i thought was crazy. i just went to check on her just now and she finally had her first cricket but i would now rather wait till tonight as when im working by the time i get home it would be morning for her and want to get her into a schedule of feeding her then and picking her up every-night which should i do first?. just want some advise on making sure iv got everything in mind. ive studied all the videos there is and done my research before getting her so i no whats what. and what her daily routine should be once shes settled in. we have checked her over and looks well and healthy for her age. on her first night she did come out and explore around and dug out some of the Eco earth and seems to be enjoying the warm hide sitting at 30c. i will be feeding my crickets fruit and veg. ATM small crickets of course and i have my calcium dust (5 days a week) and MV (2 days a week) there for her. so really just help on getting her used to everything and the days and weeks to come. p.s sorry for the big message i just really want to get this right. also my first ever gecko

My leo is about a year old and I've had him for 4 months, and the lady I bought him from only fed him mealworms, I've been trying to get him to eat crickets too but if he misses or the cricket runs away he loses all interest and doesn't chase it or hunt it, I know he likes the crickets because when he sees it he'll put his tail up and shake it really fast before lunging and eating the cricket. Is there possibly any tips you can give me on getting my leo more interested in crickets or at least more willing to try and eat them?

Hey! :) I've had my baby Crested Gecko for a month now. And I've always gone to your channel for advice, but whenever I try to handle my gecko, he always seems to run away. I've tried doing the routines when handling and being very gentle and cautious with him. But I haven't seen any improvement, or if so, it's very little. Is there any tips or advice I can have that will improve my gecko to be more comfortable around me? Thank you! ~ It could just be that I have to wait a few more months until I see an improvement

Nice video :) I really recommend using feeding tongs and offering insects at night with both him and Lyra - I do this with my crestie and it gives him great enrichment as he chases the insects around, but they don't run off and eat the plants in his viv. He only ever seems interested in food after 'lights-off', which is probably because of their crepuscular nature.

Hi I looked threw all your videos and I couldn't find anything on this, so basically I will be laying in bed in the middle of the night and will hear a weird sound and I can't describe it but it's coming from my leopard gecko it is my the chirping it's loud sometimes and it's sort of like a bird but I wouldn't really call it a screech either best I can describe is when it was quiet I thought it was my camera zooming out or something but when it was louder it seemed more like a screech like bumpy , is something wrong with him?
