Thank you, Rabbi! Your description of God's basic set of laws for all humanity is sublime, impactful & moving. God chose the beautiful Jewish people to lead the way spiritually, ethically, and morally. That mission is needed to this day, as in the days of Moses, Joshua, Samuel, David, Solomon, and so on. People think these are religious laws. They are but a blue print for human behaviour. If you happen to live in a democracy, these laws are the basis of our democratic institutions. If your circumstances are not perfect it’s because we are not perfect and are prone to error. We are moving though towards a better future by trial and error.

One of the conclusions I've come to regarding the Ten Commandments is, the tenth commandment, i.e., Do not Covet, is the lynchpin of the whole thing. To covet, to desire something so much you can taste it, so much that you're willing to abandon all morality to obtain it, even IF it belongs to someone else, is what leads to murder, lying, theft, perjury, and idolatry. Avoid covetousness, and the chances of you violating the other crimes go down dramatically. Just my thought on that.

It’s offensive how religion appropriates to all the moral values, goodness and virtue that EXISTED BEFORE the religion that appropriated them. I can’t expect you to understand that with your goggles on😑 Your god is a communistic dictator, at least 4 of the commandments have to do with how to kiss his butt. I don’t need to be told theft and murder are wrong to know that they’re wrong 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 That’s one of the things religion does: it makes your own inherent moral compass atrophy to the point you aren’t aware it’s even there so it inclines you to seek outside of yourself and now you’re on their hook for the crap they’re selling. According to your religion, wouldn’t commandments be redundant? If Adam and Eve fell for consumption of the fruit of KNOWLEDGE OF RIGHT AND WRONG, then why would the commandments be necessary if the intake of knowledge of right and wrong has them already knowing? I’m so glad I’m an apostate, I’m never going back to the plantation ⛓️🐑

I tend to interpret things somewhat differently; When I see "Do not use God's Name in vain", I see a command to not create rules and falsely claim that they originate from God. This then brings me to the command "Thou shall not steal", if the command really reads as "Thou shall not kidnap" then in terms of my interpretation of "Do not use God's Name in vain" this is an infringement of one of God's Commands, especially since the topic of theft is also covered under the "Do not Covet" command...

Rabbi i just wish to tell you I have read several books on Kabbalah including the Zohar which stems from the ancient Egyptian Hermetic teachings that Moses taught the Hebrew elderly in the dessert. Every religion has its divinities and I respect all of them. The Jews respect the prophets and their teachings, the same goes with Christians who respect and venerate the Saints. For Buddhist, Buddhas are enlightened beings and the Buddhist bow to the wise teachings of the Buddhas (Siddhaharta Gautama Buddha, the Dhyani Buddhas) to the Lamas, Rimpoches and Geshes but they are not Gods. Devas in Buddhism and Hinduism are representations of values, an iconographic image of an ethical value or wrathful protectors of the temples (more a cultural imagery of ancient personification of natural forces). I respect all divinities of all the religions because that is the humble teaching God in heaven told humanity in the Babel tower. He told all the folks from different tribes and cultures to go down to Earth and learn from each other and respect the life of each other and that is what I do. May all the Celestial Beings, all the Divinities (including the Universe Primordial Force call it Creator or just the Primordial Source), from all the religions protect all human beings from violence and weather hostile events such as hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis, earthquakes, floods, droughts, storms and destructive fires.

You call GOD a liar. He makes it clear in scriptures that many people obeyed the laws and he deemed them righteous because of keeping the law. Deuteronomy 6:25 "And if we are careful to obey all this law before our God, as he has commanded us, that will be our righteousness. Ezekiel 18:9" if he walks in my statues and MY ordinances so as to deal faithfully, he Is righteous and will surely live, declares the LORD GOD." Noah was not just RIGHTEOUS but PERFECT according to scriptures, Genesis 6:9" These are the generations of Noah, Noah was a RIGHTEOUS man he was PERFECT in his generations; Noah walked with God. Genesis 7:1"And the Lord said to Noah, "Come into the ark, you and all your household, for it is you that I have seen as a RIGHTEOUS before Me in this generation. Luke 23:50" and a man named Jospeh....a good and RIGHTEOUS man". Hebrews 11:4 "By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was RIGHTEOUS, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. Acts 10:22" they said Cornelius, a centurion, a RIGHTEOUS and GOD fearing man. Mark 6:20" for Herod was afraid of John, knowing that he was a RIGHTEOUS and holy man.

12 Facts About the Muslim Jesus..:: Muslims, like Christians, believe in Jesus Christ, because he is written about in the most sacred book of Muslims - in the Koran. Below I will present 10 facts about the Muslim Jesus. (Fact 1.) Jesus in Islam is not a God-man, as most Christian denominations teach. Muslims consider him a prophet. (Fact 2.) In the Quran, the name of Jesus is written as Isa ibn Maryam, that is, Jesus son of Mary. The name contains a reference to the mother, not the father, which is quite unusual for the Islamic tradition. (Fact 3.) For Muslims, Jesus is one of the most important prophets of Islam. In the Koran, he has the following statuses: "rasul" - the messenger of Allah, "nabi" - the bringer of news, "salih" - the righteous, "kalima" - the word of Allah. He was sent by Allah to confirm the Taurat, that is, the old sacred scripture - the Torah, and to give a new scripture - Injil, that is, the Gospel. (Fact 4.) The name of Jesus is mentioned 25 times in the Quran. Of these, 23 times - Isa ibn Maryam. (Fact 5:) Muslims, like Christians, believe in the immaculate conception of Jesus Christ. That is, he did not have an earthly father. (Fact 6.) The Quran says that Mary gave birth to Jesus in agony. During her labor pains, she went to a date tree and said, "I wish I had died before this and been forgotten forever!" But when Jesus was born, he immediately turned to her and said, "Do not be sad! Your Lord has created a stream beneath you. Shake the trunk of the palm tree towards you, and fresh dates will fall on you. Eat, drink and be happy!" After these words, he commanded Mary to take a vow of silence so that she would not be asked about the miraculous birth of her child. (Fact 7.) From the above fact it follows that Jesus spoke immediately after birth. When the relatives entangled Mary in harlotry, upon seeing the infant Jesus, the prophet said: "Truly, I am a slave of Allah. He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet." (Fact 8.) The Koran mentions a miracle of Jesus that is not in the Bible. In the Surah "The Table" it is said that Jesus as a child molded birds from clay and by the will of Allah brought them to life. A similar story is in the apocryphal early Christian text of the 2nd century "The Gospel of the Infancy of Thomas". (Fact 9:) Muslims believe that before Islam, the teachings of Jesus were the only true religion. (Fact 10.) Muslims deny the crucifixion of Jesus. The Koran says that the Jews allegedly killed Jesus: "Indeed, we killed the Messiah Isa, son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah." But they were wrong. They did not crucify him, they only thought they did. Instead of crucifixion, Allah raised Jesus to heaven: "It was Allah who raised him to Himself, and Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise." (Fact 11.) Muslims believe in the second coming of Jesus. On the Day of Judgement, Jesus will return and judge sinners, guided by the rules of Sharia. (Fact 12.) In addition to judging sinners, Jesus will fight Dajjal, the Antichrist, and defeat him. He will then establish a kingdom of goodness and justice. >------------------------------------------------------------< Jesus of Muslims.: Christianity is founded on the person of Christ and what He accomplished on the cross. “Christ is our cornerstone,” one of the early Christian hymns wrote. “On Him alone we stand, in His love our hope, and the gift of grace and joy from on high.” However, there are significant differences between the Jesus that millions of Christians know and the figure of “Jesus” (Isa in the Qur’anic and Hadith tradition) that is present in Islam. Some Christians, keen to engage in dialogue with Muslims, argue that the Isa of the Qur’an and Hadith is essentially the same Jesus as the one in the New Testament. If this is true, then the whole of Christian doctrine must be reconsidered. Christians traditionally see Jesus as the second person of the Trinity, the Lord who demands reverence and worship. Christ's incarnation and substitutionary death on the cross are seen as part of God's plan of redemption, designed from eternity, thus forming the basis of the doctrine of God's salvation for all who will believe it. Islam, however, maintains that Isa was just a simple man, although it accepts and respects him as a righteous prophet and miracle worker. Islam also affirms the fact of the immaculate conception and his return to earth (albeit as a Muslim). But Muslims reject the title "Son of God" as blasphemy, because it is understood literally, in a purely physiological sense. Islam denies the divinity of Isa, his incarnation, crucifixion, atoning sacrifice and resurrection. Muslims believe that someone else was crucified instead of Isa. Thus, Islam denies all the main pillars of Christianity. For Muslims, Muhammad, not Isa, is the perfect man, the god-given role model. Muhammad is far superior to Isa, and the practice of venerating Muhammad is widespread in the Islamic tradition. He has become the eternal Christ-like figure for whom God created this entire world and for whom he alone is the mediator and intercessor. All nature revere, all men bow down. To the One who brought light into the world of darkness. O Messenger of Allah! My respect I give to you. O Prophet of Allah! My love I give to you. My life, my whole self I give to you with joy, Your divine message will always be with me. Early Islam arose against the backdrop of Muhammad's conflict with the Jews and Christians living in Arabia. Thus, the passages that mention Isa in the Quran and Hadith are part of the polemic against the biblical Jesus. There are two main sources of knowledge about "Jesus" for Muslims - the Quran, which presents the story of his life, and a collection of hadiths, which reflect the Muslim understanding of his place in the end times. Isa in the Quran.: The Quranic description of Isa includes some biblical elements, but they are generally either the exact opposite of or greatly embellished compared to the Gospel narrative. Scholars have found that some Quranic material about Isa is derived from Gnostic and apocryphal gospels. Although the Quranic description of Isa is variously titled, such as Messiah, Apostle, Word of God, and Spirit of God, it completely denies His divinity, divine sonship, and the concept of the Trinity. So believe in Allah and His Messengers, and do not say “Trinity!” for your own good. Allah is the One and Only God! It is not fitting for His Majesty to appear as a Father to a mortal. He alone is the Owner of all things in the heavens and on the earth. He alone is sufficient as a surety! (Porokhova translation, 4:169) [2] Belief in the divinity of Christ and the Trinity is a grave sin (shirk) for which there is no forgiveness: “They disbelieve who say that Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. Say, ‘Who can hinder Allah even a little if He were to destroy the Messiah, son of Mary, and his mother, and everyone on the earth?’” (5:19). The Quran indicates that Christians believe that God and Mary had physical intercourse, which resulted in the birth of Jesus: “O Creator anew of the heavens and the earth! How can He have a child, when He had no companion? And when He created all things, and of all things He is fully Acquainted!” (6:101). The Quran presents Jesus as one of a long line of prophets of Islam whose primary mission was to submit to Allah (or Islam). Thus, Muslims see Isa as equal to, but not superior to, any of the many other prophets: “Say: We believe in Allah and what was revealed to Abraham and Ismail and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes and what was given to Musa and Isa and the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we submit” (3:78). Isa was, like Adam, created from the dust of the ground: “Indeed, the likeness of Isa in the sight of Allah is like that of Adam: He created him from dust, then said to him, ‘Be,’ and he was” (4:52). Jesus gave the book of Injil (Gospel), and before Him was the Torah:

I was close to murder a little more than ten years ago. I try to honor my parents, but, I must admit I can't stand my mother.

Rabbi says, "There's a power greater than yourself, and you've been placed here in this world on a mission, a mission to refine yourself and refine the world around you. And we have a formula". Ten rules, a guide, a life instruction handbook. These rules must be our reminders, reminding each of us of what we need to accomplish here on Earth. So, why were souls created with imperfections? Maybe it's that Earth is the workout planet, where souls go to work out imperfections. Hmm, again I'm nudged into a rabbit hole of thinking where various thoughts keep popping up and I'm unable to properly sort things out. I imagine that all will become more clear when my soul moves on after it's done with this earthly body. Oh well, time will tell. Peace, kindness, compassion, and humanity.

“Holy” teachers are unbelievable when they are overweight. This shows over eating and laziness. Both things that are taught not to do in the book.

Rabbi before you start could you please explain that these beautiful words and righteous laws only apply to just your people and every one else gets "Like putting a finger into the eye " These Laws are not for the Gentile . These laws are not for anyone but just you and your kin . Am I wrong ?

Your comment reveals that you are taking the Biblical characters and narratives literally as if they were historically true. But, the fact of the matter is that you must know the Biblical codes in order to know the True Spiritual message of the Bible. Hence, Israel and The Jews are not presented in the Bible as historical facts, but Spiritual Realities about every human being in the whole world. I believe you are incorrect. 12 tribes not just two, not all ‘Jews’. Ephraim too, if wishing to be in covenant, should be guarding not only Ha’Shem’s instructions (torah/torot) but also His appointed times. See Exodus 12:49 and Isaiah 56:1-6. addressing the non-Jews who wish to be in covenant. They are indeed able to be grafted into Israel.

@@BonnieBlue2Athere are 12 tribes of Israel ( Jacob) after they came from captivity in Egypt they settled in the promised land The tribe of Judah was just one of the 12 tribes( Jews) Menassah and ephraim were Jacob’s grandsons( Joseph’s sons) They eventually split into 2 kingdoms 10 tribes in the north known as Israel or ephraim and 2 tribes in the south known as Judah who were Judah and Benjamin and Levi who weren’t part of the 12 tribes as they were the priests of the 12 The northern kingdom were taken into captivity and dispersed all around the world and the southern kingdom of Judah went into exile and then returned a few times eventually they became known just as Judah ( Jews) by the time of yeshua but they were a mixture of the 12 tribes but mainly Judah and Benjamin and Levi - and so today are known as Israel and the Jewish people

@@odettehunt3766the rest of us are still in the diaspora and awakening, returning to Torah, and not Jewish. Ephraim and Judah will become one again. However, we are part of Israel be it through genealogy or faith. Shalom
