Your not jabbed are you? I am 24 and not jabbed. Have a artificial heart valve, suffered endocarditis and think I may be suffering from a stroke or post stroke symptoms. They want to diagnose me with psychosis. Fun fun...

I just came home from the hospital due to high blood pressure, was dizzy and nauseous. Currently dealing with nerve issues, unable to sleep in my own bed, due to thighs "being on fire". Sleeping in tall chair, little nerve issues, but deal with edema. Currently was accepted to a program that will assist with recliner/hospital bed, home delivered meals, and most importantly, a personal care assistant which allows me to get out of the house. I use my affected side every day, and continue to work on my speech and vision/coordination issues. Use it or lose it!!!

@@PostStrokeOrg I would love to be a part of this community. Anyway, I can. It's amazing how we need help doing normal things now. People think that you have lost your mind or don't know what you're doing not because you show it. Just cause they've been trying to think that way. And so I'm in the middle of going to there are buzz many who? I'm gonna get some test done and have it in writing. And I'm gonna try to run my own house. What I mean by that I don't need. No resident man drum at a place called is living and all the managers they've had here have been very rude or don't wanna do anything and so I'd rather have not a manager here and I almost have no hot on my care. What motivated me towards my recovery is an awareness that in my case because of my poor nutritional habits and lack of any kind of medical counseling i was responsible for my stroke so i took that irresponsibly and made it the core of my comeback, in other words healthy shame

I am one year out from ischemic stroke in the thalamis. I developed hemichorea on left shoulder, arm & hand about 11 months ago. I have done OT & PT for months. I am very frustrated with the lack of knowledge of my condition. I'm feeling quite alone!! I do have a movement disorder neurologist specialist, but no med or botox have helped. Any help would be SO appreciated. Your videos alone have given me hope, but I need to know there are others with my condition out there somewhere! Thank you

PT needs to be a daily thing that is not performed as a chore. PT is something that will get you back to feeling more like your "Old Self". Remember, recovery is a marathon, not a sprint.

Are there stroke survivors that we can keep in contact with? Mine was a cerebellar stroke and brain surgery to have the right side of my cerebellum removed. It affected my right side. They didn’t expect me to live but here I am! I am so thankful to my neurosurgeon but it is very hard to keep a positive attitude all of the time. I am very fortunate to have a wonderful husband who is very supportive but sometimes he just doesn’t understand how hard it is! This happened December 24, 2023 so only 5 months ago!

Thank you I've been so stuck on what do I do about my arm that has almost no function,I can close my hand a little but not release pull my arm up a little and bend at the elbow just a little takes everything I got to do it I have a mirror glove so you recommend it? It basically opens and closes my hand all fingers at once I use e stem on different areas as well to get muscle movement,am I doing the right things to get function back? I'm 4 months post stroke. Walking with a quad cane leg is getting stronger but only feels natural walking holding a rail on my ramp which is 90 foot I wear a afo how long should I continue to wear it ? Is it hindering progress?

thank you for the reply ! Having never made a comment there was just something true and honest in your information. I’m an American stroke victim in France. I would be sent to a wonderful clinic that was wonderful to me because of its various staff both physical therapists (kiné) and occupational therapist (ergonomics) and voice therapy. Each person was quite special to me but the recovery process has been a very slow one. Spent more than six months living and re-educating there then about another five month three days a week day program that didn’t feel it progressed me as well but now with a private three days a week young physical therapist he seems to have many of the advice that you present as the old clinic did as well “why can’t I wear a brace like they are?” They would explain how they wanted to get me back closer to how I was. My current physical therapist is all about getting out there and reclaiming your life. Videos like yours really have a similar tone that makes me feel it will one day be possible! Again my thanks to you for all of the help you share with your followers. ❤
