i think this was an interesting one.
didnt get to document it 100%, but sometimes i have to run around between multiple trucks and dont get to see everything done with one but im sure you guys go the point of the truck.
let me know what you guys thought.
truck is good and well, pulling heavy loads as we speak.

For the owners to have spent so much on the rebuild you would think they would have tried to pro long it's life with better maintenance.

Fuel pump started it. Old porcelain plungers and brass tappets. There is any update for that but that engine will need an overhaul. Oil cooler and pump and turbo. Head cylinder and cam. Or you could just spend the money and buy a new engine with all the updates and warranty. Rush truck center, bay #7😂

the plungers were actually the good ones here, already been replaced but something happened with the rollers. but luckily, got it apart in time and caught it and was able to prevent bigger damages... atleast for now

DieselBullet , Yeah some of them have the steel plungers already but still the brass wrist pin followers, they also need the steel wrist pin follower update. Just a shame that the customer did not go to the dealer where they could’ve done the research on the serial number and done all warranty work and TSB‘s to Engine earlier on in the engines life.

It looks like that Engine has the old style liners as well. There is an updated liner with an anti-polishing ring at the top.

I would recommend an engine swing, the customer gets a warranty.

This is scary mines approaching 600 thousand I will do the mains and rods however I had no idea the fuel pump can cause it to disintegrate I guess I gotta change fuel pump too
