Monomoy Capital Partners (the owner of Liberty Safes), has contributed over $400,000 to anti gun democrats over the last ten election cycles. That included contributions to Democrats such as Sens. Raphael Warnock of Georgia, John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, Mark Kelly of Arizona, and Senate candidate Mandela Barnes in Wisconsin. Further, current Liberty Safe CEO Justin Hillenbrand, a founding partner of Monomoy, donated $4,600 to Obama for America. If you bought a Liberty Safe, you have helped to contribute to people who will fund anti-gun politicians. I am not ok with that and I do not trust them, and I definitely would not trust them with the combination or passcode to my safe that I paid money for. So, even if Liberty does make some changes, the owners are still anti-gun, and I will not support that. Also, pay attention to what Liberty isn't saying, their keypad vendor still has these codes. They will just redirect the call to them!
Thats a big NO from me on liberty safes. I dont care what new policies they make or what changes they make in their designs because when it comes right down to the core thing that really pissed people off is the fact that they donate the maximum allowable amount of money on a regular basis to very people working to take away our rights! THAT IS UNFORGIVABLE because it violates the trust people were putting their money into a company that is then giving that money to people who want to take away the very reason those safes are made! I dont care if you want to pay me to own one of those, its not happening. You dont forgive those who secretly plot your doom while smiling in your face.
I don't personally give a rip how great of quality they are...I do not support companies who I know support anti-gun politicians, and I do not support anyone who gives my information out freely. When the cops called ( if they were actually that concerned about my security in the first place), Liberty should have said take us to court for the information.
I cancelled my order for liberty and bought bought a champion trophy safe. Champion is giving rebates called constitutional rights rebate. I just purchased one.
Wish you would explain what Liberty told you that gives you confidence to stick with them. Not sure I would trust them ever again. So happens I’m shopping for safes right now…
Agreed. I heard a lot about "meetings with management", but nothing about what convinced him to keep selling them, or why I should suddenly trust them...
I gave 3 of my liberty safe away this weekend, and i will never have anything sold by Liberty Safe in any of my properties no matter how far they back step
Ever heard the saying “you make your bed, now lie in it”? Time for “anyone but Liberty Safe”, so essentially you’re saying money over the Constitution? Well, you’ll always be on my “no-go” list!!!
I really hope Liberty doesn't get Bud Lighted, but they really screwed up. You are 100% correct, when you said they should just say sorry we messed up and it won't happen again.. that would go a long way for sure. Unfortunately some people will never buy another Liberty and nothing will change there minds.. that is there choice for sure. To bad I li e so far away I would buy a Liberty and just change the lock.. easy fix
If i had a liberty safe i would store all my bud light in it. Along with my harris biden t-shirts and coffee mug. That stuff will be worth a fortune. In China and at the justice department.
Just as I could understand that a Honda dealer (for example) wouldn’t just up and stop selling Hondas, regardless of the reason, I understand why you’re making this decision. But I still think the 2A community is done with them.
I just bought a liberty safe. I thought it had a lifetime warranty. I got it home and had to pay Liberty $172 after taxes to warranty the lock which will someday fail.
This video is nothing more than a commercial for this man's safe company. I will never purchase a Liberty safe and after this video. I would never purchase a safe of any kind from this man.
Take responsibility, be truthfully transparent. Then FIX it for all those effected. Thats about the only way I can see them coming out of this tailspin. They should know there customer base better.
all combinations need to be moved to a third party who is offshore so no answering the phone from prying eyes . Just as cruise lines to Apple etc do corporately.
Thanks for the information. In my opinion, in regard to Liberty Safes, fool me once: shame on you, fool me twice: shame on me. Its so sad that such a good product made such a political driven decision. I don't own one and never will.
I imagine among people who care about security this is a big no no. If I bought a safe I'd expect to be buying a box that only I can open. I wouldn't even consider that there is a computer in it. Are these safes plugged in? Dependent on electricity to function? Luckyly I don't have anything valuable enough to ve worried about.
You are in bed with liberty. Little doubt you would defend them. Liberty needs to apologize profusely and swear to never capitulate again. Then they need to give massive discounts. Basically sell at cost. If not, they go the bud lite route.
Why would a group who supports anti-gun politicians purchase a popular well made gun safe company? Answer, to give government access to your safe when said gov. request the combo to your safe. Was going to buy a Liberty safe before this mishap. Will not do it.
So let me understand this. The FBI got a warrant for this guys dwelling and all the contents ( that is how warrants work ) so there are only a few options here. Accept the fact that you need to open the safe, you have nothing to hide right? OR refuse and they will call in a locksmith, OR they can cut it open and in that case you will need to buy a new safe OR the FBI shows proper cause and they are given the combination. So why are you all acting like they did something wrong? Every other safe company would have done the exact same thing. They have said as much. So please think about it. A warrant was issues for this guys place and ALL the contents. So what exactly did liberty safe do wrong? Would you all be as upset if they had just gotten a locksmith in to open it?
Locked boxes/safes are generally mentioned separately in warrants because of the likelihood of them containing documents. What exact information do you have saying the warrant included the safe or any other locked boxes? "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things ..." And, even if the warrant specifically mentioned safes or locked boxes (which you absolutely have no evidence it did because it probably didn't), the FBI went to Liberty because they knew Liberty's willingness to provide codes and combos would allow them to side step the defendants lawyer, having to argue to the judge for an expanded warrant, and any other due process involved. Liberty has done this many times before and the FBI had them on speed dial.
