Congratulations ed! Been watching the channel since the start I know it's a long shot but I have many different car stories If you would consider bringing in other people to vinwiki. I'm only 25 but have owned over 27 different bmws. I buy/flip bmws from the late 90s and early 2000s that have had a questionable pass or are in rough condition, i mostly specialize in e39 cars a few e46 m3 cars and my favorite is the e38 witch I currently have 3 of. and I would love the opportunity to come on and share a few stories. One that comes to mind is how I had to steal back my own car from an angry customer lol

What a surprise! My friend works at the Liège airport as a 747 mechanic and told me about it. We like to track special Ferraris and told me there was a red (also weird) Murci SV on top of it but it never occurred to me this car was for you. Your garage has become the Holy Trinity of Murcis!

Just a small note from pedantry corner , liege is one of the biggest freight airports in Europe , and the flight to Atlanta is a normally scheduled cargo flight that happens once every few days

This is the reason I don't have kids. I can't afford to both have a life and kids at the same time. My uncle got the kids and watched em grew up but couldn't also follow his hobby. He wanted to wait till the eldest moved out. But he then had a brain hemorage and died instantly, so he never got to do any of that.

Some people realize that nurturing another human to then be pointed towards THEIR goals is infinitely more rewarding than simply caring only about one's self. Glad to hear the car is US legal now. Try looking up foundation training for your back daily and it will be help tremendously as well as some knees over toes videos to get ur lower back aligned and strong. Pain meds only go so far with enjoying these cars.

Definitely on brand for you Ed. I like it. A Bugatti just doesn't scream 'Ed Bolian'. Unless it was the fire scorched Copart Bugatti or some Bugatti that was a rappers and involved a police chase, a gunfight, lots of drugs and a stripper. That's the Ed Bolian spec of a Bugatti.

Man this story hits home. My ultimate dream car has always been the viper. Ever since it was released in the early 90s and I was 7 years old I've wanted one. But I always set realistic goals along the way. In high school I wanted a 02 ss camaro. In 04 I achieved that goal and still have it while opening my own high level detailing business. Fast forward to last summer I was finally able to make that dream come true. I like you Ed love to drive my cars and put miles on them. I found the perfect candidate in a blue 06 coupe with silver stripes. It had previous accident history but was fixed very very nice and the price was right. Me and a buddy flew out to Michigan and drove it back to Massachusetts. It still is a surreal feeling of accomplishing this goal at only 37 years old. Love the story!

There is a lot of history with that TVR Ed, that very car was/is my dream car, I tried to buy it about 2 years ago locally to me in Scotland but it was really really strong money, the original rear wing was missing, it had been repainted badly, most of the decent stereo equipment was gone and the original seats the car was built with have been replaced that aside please dont kill it, if anything send it back home after car trek, I knew it was going to America but had no idea you had bought it, if you need any more info on it, get me on Facebook under the same name as this 👍

Ed, what you experienced sounds similar to the herniated disks in my lower back. Biggest thing that helped me were core strengthening and walking with long strides. Best of luck!

Congratulations on the purchase. This time your message resonates more than normal. I often talk about meeting your heroes. For me my dream car was more obtainable but at the time seemed just far enough away to make it a dream. As a kid I always wanted a corvette. And one day I was lucky enough to make it happen. It was amazing and I don’t regret a second of it. But what I didn’t expect or anticipate was what happened after I met that goal. It was weird, I lost a bit of drive or ambition. That car has since moved on, and I’m onto more “practical” things. But I think you reminded me, it’s probably time for a new hero…

Not to mention the morality of spending millions on cars versus using that money for the greater good. I plan to sail across the Atlantic soon but it's only going to cost around 10k and that's with buying a boat. You can do cool stuff, not blow a bunch of cash, and live your life for others.

So so glad you got a SV Murci Ed. Not gonna lie when I saw the colour I and that it was from Europe I immediately thought it was the Manual SV that’s in Belgium!! Like you’ve said so many times before, Murci’s are the future 300SL’s without a doubt. Oh and the 7 manual SV’s? More like 5-7 Million IMO if one did ever come up for sale.

Living by Roy Cats has its benefits as far as what you see on the road... One of the three manual SV's is one of them... (Sacrilege-The SE Diablos look better even though they are brown!)

I swear I saw that on AdamC's channel and I remember him mentioning that the car is being imported to the U.S. And the person buying he car was not mentioned. I mean it's hard to get any better than the current state of the murcielago collection that you have amassed but if there was something that could it would be one of those. I understand the SV is more rare and special but I'm much more excited and envious of the TVR. I have saw many and even driven a couple Lambos but never have a saw a TVR, much less the absolute gorgeous Cerbera. Price and value aside I'd still prefer the Cerbera. I doubt it's that widely known to the average person how special the SV is. It's still Lamborghini cool but the Cerbera might as well be a spaceship in most parts of the U.S.

Considering its not just any old Trevor, it's a heavily modified by Carisma, one thats been on the UK modified car scene since the late 90s or so... instantly recognised it from my youth reading Max Power magazine when I seen the pic. Wait until you see its interior 🤯

I know a guy that's restoring a famous vauxhall nova from back in the max power days, a purple one tuned and turbo'd by Courtaney. Even now I'd give an arm for it. Love to hear the Story and huge love from Germany for the effort you put in the channel. But I think the car had been in Belgium the hole time. Liege is a Belgium airport :) they have a German speaking part in Belgium as well and may it’s better. They sell not that good because every Audi passes you after 250 Kmh on the Autobahn

Ed, I fully agree with you on the "big goals" in life, I have been working my butt off for the last few years (we are the same age) exactly for this reason, to be able to afford the things that I enjoy in the free time I have, cars, bikes, boats, a nice apartment, tight suits, nice watches. Heck yea, I am a materialist hedonist and I feel great about it!

I set various milestones for myself when I was younger and regardless of the amount of “casual” overtime I have to put in at work in order to climb the corporate ladder, or the time it takes to save X amount to purchase what was my dream car as a teenager, you can call me materialistic all day but I absolutely appreciate and enjoy the cars I have as well as the lifestyle that accompanies them.

That cerbera was a very famous poster car of the maxpower days in the UK. Think of a kinda sema era. Underglow and fibreglass was the order of the day. It was built by charisma. They are now doing seriously luxury SUV builds now. I had the poster...the girl wasn't bad if I remember 😂

Trying to figure out the real market price of one is so difficult but I see so many for sale in Europe. Are those sales listings for real or are dealers just fishing for buyers? If you have any advice for purchasing an SV please shoot me a note. Any help would be really appreciated.

The market is getting very strong on them. They are more valuable in the US at the moment but I think the rest of the world will catch up fast.

@@EdBolian I just hope that I did not miss my window. Would have to trade in my FF so at least those values have appreciated. Can you trust what you see advertised as the real prices for SV’s in Europe? So few examples in the US for sale right now. Congrats again Ed and can’t wait for more SV content!

When I drive I always have my eyes open for anything even slightly cool, but one day about a year ago, I saw a matte black Murci SV driving in the opposite direction of me, spirited of course, but I was still able to make out the shape of the car with the batwing air intakes deployed and the large SV letters on the left rear fender. Now learning that there are only 44 SV's in the US, that very brief moment will live on in my memory as something pretty special. I am very glad I noticed it. Congratulations, Ed, on purchasing a US Murcielago SV!

What on Earth happened to that poor Cerbera? That is one horrendous body kit. Cerbera is up on my dream car list if I had the space for one, especially if could get a Speed 12 on the road.

It was modified back in what we call the "max power" days by a car tuning company called Carisma. Its a very well known car here in the UK and was a show car for many years and had multiple magazine features. Its worth reading up on it :)

9:59 I actually recognize that Cerbera, not in any detail but I've seen it around a few times (mostly in UK based car facebook groups), it would always get a fair bit of attention, even if no one actually wanted it because of the modifications! If i remember correctly the interior in particular was very controversial haha

I think TVRs are really interesting, because to me they have the same kind of marque reputation as a company like ascari - low production, built in a shed etc, yet I actually see them on the road quite often. Certainly where I live I would say they are more common to see driving than older (as in early to mid 2000s) Italian sports cars, I couldn't say when i last saw a Gallardo on the road, i probably see at least 1 or 2 TVRs (particularly Cerberas) a month. Probably about as common as a Huracan or a 488 i guess

FYI, good option to ship exotic cars is to transport to UK (cheaper freight) then ship a 20' container, place car inside, strap down, etc. We moved a GT40 from UK to USA East Coast without problems and much cheaper than a 'car transport' situation. This also allows you more options for ships as a container is nothing special and can go by pretty much any ship. Only caveat is you need to have good folks to properly load and secure the vehicle in the container. 'Theoretically' you can also bypass all customs BS by having container delivered directly to you and it is treated as just a container, no need for title and other paperwork. ;)

Ed, that Cerbera, is it the old Max Power car built by Jamie Shaw at Carisma? It looks like it is just looks way more orange than i remember it when it was built... was built an driven local to me
