I watch a lot of cooking videos but I really like yours best. First because it is for two and it is just my husband and me; but also because you are so practical. Everything doesn't have to be done from scratch to still be good. Thank you!

Welcome back! It's summer so meals SHOULD be quick and easy, or that's what I'm going with here anyway! Everything looks good....you're so fortunate to have someone to grill out good food, that's a big help and it tastes good to me when someone else cooks it :) Rye bread is one of my favorites, the bread you used looks so pretty and good! We are brats fans too (and that's how I learned how to eat sauerkraut, LOL!), though I usually try to limit them to the fall and football games. Tim did the menu choosing that day, in case you hadn't picked up on that tidbit, haha! As much as we both love Reubens and order them out often, I had never ever made them at home. But I was doing my best to use up both the rye bread (eggs in purgatory and reubens) and the sauerkraut (brats and reubens) that I bought, and not have to toss perfectly good food. YES, we are fully vaccinated and cases have dropped radically where we live, and things are slowly going back to normal. We continue to take precautions as well, and wear masks when someone is uncomfortable or the establishment or store requests it. We have said from the beginning that we are happy to wear a mask if it makes someone else feel comfortable or safe. Hope you have been well and your summer is off to an amazing start! Awwwww, sweetie. No pressure to please us or be super innovative. You could make a video on anything....even non-food stuff....and we would watch. I like you "around the house" videos a lot. Just what you're reading or watching or a look at your flowers. I watch another YT'er that's doing a month of this and a month of that....first month was burgers & sandwiches. She had a book of 100 different kinds of these and her and her husband tried the top ones they found interesting. Some were weird!! Lol Now she's doing curries....all sorts of curries. It's been interesting but I'm not sure I could do a month straight of these things...lol. I enjoy watching how you both react to things and how you put meals together. Here's a tip for grilled sandwiches. Put a slice of cheese on both sides. Kinda of glues it together so it doesn't fall apart when you flip it. We love reubens.

This is the time of year when I turn to Tim grilling outside, and using appliances like my slow cooker, air fryer and IP. Anything to keep from turning on the oven, or even multiple eyes on the stove. Or do lots of sandwiches and salads, and cook outside!! I hope your weather breaks soon! FYI....on the Reubens, we always lightly saute the sauerkraut and corned beef together first for just a few mins, just to heat it up and dry the drained sauerkraut a bit. Then we place it all on sandwich and proceed to grill the sandwich. So so yummy!!!

We have had a calendar that has been jam packed for all of May and we still have a lot going on in June but we are doing what we can to offer some videos. We are so glad to hear that you are enjoying the content :) We've dabbled in all sorts of other content, and did do our "Around the House" series of vlogs for a while, but they were never as well received as the food ones, primarily the What's for Dinner videos. We still share random grocery hauls and a lot of recipe or cooking videos, but most everyone seems to enjoy the format of the weekly dinner ones the best. I am working on some other videos, but it's slow. I spend an inordinate amount of time editing our videos and try to cut out any superfluous stuff (no one wants to watch me stir or reach for an ingredient over and over, that sort of thing), so it does take me a while to put out videos that I'm satisfied with. My mama always told me that I was my own toughest critic, LOL! Anyway, we definitely appreciate the encouragement and support of our channel, you're awesome! We've been enjoying life and the outside world so much, and still have several items on our very full calendar. After the last 12-15 months, it's so nice to be returning to a more normal pace!! Everything looked delicious as usual. We had breakfast for dinner tonight. I did sausage, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes and toast tonight. We ate out for lunch yesterday so we had a snack type supper last night. We went yesterday morning to see a 3D ultrasound of Nugget, our grandson that will be here in less than 100 days. All is still going well. She has reached the point that if she delivered he would be about 2 lbs but at least he would have a chance. She has done so well with her weight. She lost 7 lbs in the beginning so she has only officially gained 1/2 lb at 2/3 of the way thru her pregnancy. Glad you are getting out to enjoy life more. We have started venturing out too since we are vaccinated too. Hayley will be 30 on the 10th so we are having a surprise party at her in laws next weekend. She would get suspicious if we tried having it here plus they have a pool so everyone can swim at their house. It just made more sense to go there. I will help cook and contribute that way. Try to enjoy the summer. If you film and post fewer videos I am sure no one will complain so have fun when the opportunity comes along.

We don't even wear masks many places any more even. I'm so sorry you guys are still having to deal with that, and I hope it is mostly lifted soon. @@LetsCookYall thanks. Our stores non essential sections such as clothes cards bedding and such are blocked off so we are not even able to buy them. I’m torn. I know they have done that to limit the casual browsing in stores but who’s to say what is essential? We can do curb side pick up for those items but it’s just so different.
@WineDineAndShineWithChriztine - oh my, that's awful :( I am not sure that has been the case here in stores since the height of the pandemic. I think things started opening back up down here much sooner, even though I know dressing rooms have not all reopened, but most have, for trying on clothes. Even my library is back to full service, as I'm able to go in and browse the shelves for books. That would be tough, all these months later. I surely hope the restrictions start easing up soon where you are, hopefully as cases decline and more people are vaccinated. Are the vaccines readily available where you are? We started receiving them in early Jan here, and Tim I were fully vaccinated by early April (they went based on ages at first, but now it's open to everyone here). Hang in there!

We've had a calendar lately that has been jam packed and have been so busy, so we've truly enjoyed some more normal times and celebrations and events the last few weeks. We were fully vaccinated in early April and our area and state are very open, with very few cases each day, so things are definitely returning to normal here. I still always have a mask with me, and often wear it out, or ask someone if they are more comfortable with me wearing a mask, but here, most people are vaccinated and have gotten away from the masks. I like raw tomatoes but am not a fan of the soggy slimy condition they put into a recipe so I put my cut tomi between a layer of paper towels to get rid if the initial slime works like a charm! Works with most other veggies too.

We usually rank lowest in anything good and highest in anything bad, LOL! Thankfully, among our family, friends and church family, almost every one we know has been fully vaccinated. We are still being very safe and wearing masks as needed or requested. I'm always happy to make someone else feel more comfortable by donning my mask. Are you aware that eating a lot of grilled meat (sausages, beef etc) significantly increase s your risk of getting colon cancer? Might want to keep that in mind for Tim! I know he likes his meat 😊
