Hi Becky were in the UK, got loads of fig trees, loads of figs for jam. They are flourishing since we moved and planted up against a south facing wall👍

Good to see you again Becky! And it’s been hot in AZ but we finally got rain after a year with none. Yep we’ve got a conex too and it’s an oven. We’ve spent the last two years trimming and brushing our new property but it’s really cut down the rattlers coming by the buildings. Huge congratulations on being mortgage free!!!🎉🎉

It's amazing how handy you are! And I appreciate that you mentioned 2 things: that you have your son helping you with the work, and that you had to research how to care for plants and animals. That helps me gage how much is involved, and how much work I can expect, if a homestead comes in my future. Thanks!

You've got the place looking awesome! You could put bee hives and plant all kinds of flowers that would bloom different times a year that the bees can collect from and flavor the honey. That would be great down where the rock pile is where you had that trailer removed. 😊

Becky, I started watching your channel back in 2015. At that time me and my family were living in an apartment and we were so inspired by what you were doing. Over these last few years and we bought a house, built a lot of equity in a short amount of time, sold out, and then cashed out a property. We are now homesteading, off grid too! I really want to start a chicken farm so we bought 40+ chicks, quail and a turkey. It feels so good to follow our passions and dreams. We are so much happier doing this and it's even better than we imagined. I just had to let you know because you were a big inspiration all those years ago and anyone who is reading this: follow your heart and live the life that makes you ALIVE! God bless!

You are so down to earth, love seeing the progress of your homestead, we are staying put where we are but changing things from being a couple of mostly unused acres of land to a little pasture for a horse or two and chicken coop and run for our 5 hens. Always have had a large garden. Love your fruit trees! Those are so great!

When I moved 4 hours away from my home in 2005 to my hubby's farm land he had a mobile home put on 26 1/2 acres of land on both sides of the road. There was an old farm house that was caving in with a work shop and outhouse all in dangerous shape...2 lower old garages falling in and everything was filled with garbage on the other side of the road. It was his whole family's garbage dump and it took about 3 yrs but we used wood that still had life in it . Hubby my kids and I recycled everything we could ...burnt down the rest and cleared out metal...nails and glass ....it was lots of work but it definitely looks 100% better. We still have a huge old barn for our horses ... and built 2 coops. a duck coop with yard for them and chicken coop and a huge enclosed pen . Now with it being hubby and I We still cut down trees that are not in good shape and burn them so still working hard most of the time but to see what it has become was well worth the time ! Shame the up keep never ends...lots of snow to clear in the winter and grass to cut in the summer .... never a dull moment.

Have you thought of getting goats to help clear out all the bramble and bush?? It’ll make your life so much easier!

For being the 1 light in so much darkness. I have my chickens, their Happy, Healthy, and growing every day. I'm working on my greenhouse now to grow food with aquaponics for my homestead. I've always had a dream of owning a homestead, and thanks to you and your shared knowledge I've begun. The stress has lessened and getting larger EVERY DAY!!! 😘☺😊 You Are AWESOME!!!

Becky, you are wonderful 🤗 I've lived in Florida since I was 10, 38 yrs. altogether now and I LOVEEEE it! I miss Jersey memories, but not the freezing, yucky cold. I feel so happy leaving any bldg.with freezing A/C and into the sunshine 😁 it's an "aahhhhh" (relief) moment. All that green foliage and rainy, thundering days make Florida my forever home ❤

My 2 sons, 2 brothers, dad, and nephew are all going to move out of norther crazy California to a more friendly homesteading and ranch business state! Thanks to being laid off four times because of the Corona problem I have lost more than £13,000.00 but because of the lock down here with everything closed and shut down I was out of ALL debt last October. Since the lock down was lifted and I still have work I have helped others both in the UK and USA.

Georgia and holy moly is it HOT hear i can literally step outside to feed the cats or walk my dog and be pouring sweat within 2 minutes. It's awful! I'm ready for fall. Fall and spring are the best months.

When summer in the South arrives, it’s just too durn hot to do anything except in the wee hours of the morning. My fig trees are flourishing but require lots and lots of water in order to get a good crop. At least 1-2” of water a week. I’ve missed your videos but can tell that you have been working hard in energy draining heat & humidity. I’m in tidewater VA so I get it. 🥵

Had a home in Florida for 12 years and lived there for 5 … I couldn’t take the heat & humidity …. Learned it was nice place to visit but I didn’t want to live there….I had more property there because land is cheaper but Finally Move back to NW Nj 5 years ago and so happy I did… it’s nice to be Home again….your new property is great…. So much potential….
