I feel like Zion is a good dude, but he's young and not ready for the business side of the league. I also feel like he's kind of being done wrong by his family and is being pulled in a lot of different directions. Hopefully, this can be a learning experience for him.
Yea he’s still young, and maybe he’s not a natural leader or even slightly introverted, so he doesn’t know really how to reach out to others. It also sucks that because New Orleans doesn’t have that ‘go to vet that has done it all’ (like a curry, Lebron, Tim Duncan type of guy) to show him the ropes of leading
@@lik7953 another reason they traded for CJ he’s only 30 but he is the head of the players association and a true professional hopefully they do end being teammates and it all works out
Hi Kenny! I am an interior designer, so i feel like it’s my personal duty to help you figure out your situation with the office. Firstly, it seems like a fairly small room, so the first thing you have to do is make good use of the space and not clutter it up. The best way to do this is to ditch the MJ and drose painting and get one of Alex Caruso instead :)
I think Zion showing early signs he isn’t gonna be or at the very least is not ready to be a leader for a franchise. Also why having a vet is important in franchises
Well to be honest when they traded for CJ Mcollum i thought that CJ maybe the new leader of the team, Zion can be a second option on a contending and be in kind of a similar role then draymond is on golden state
Audio quality is actually fine. I know it can be better but this was good considering your situation and it didn't distract from the video at all. Excited for more content!
W VIDEO, Kenny always finds a way to make me happy with his thoughts, I swear to god this hits way different then watching something like first take. Thank you Kenny your such a blessing
I’m more prone to see something in the CJ aspect of this - I’m from the same city as him and everyone who knew him speaks incredibly highly of him. He works hard, born leader, has a lot of respect from players in and out of the league. It seems almost like a perfect storyline to trade for the charismatic hardworking vet to try to possibly knock some sense into the youngin… idk maybe that no contact from Zion comment was said in hopes of reaching him somehow… nonetheless it’s a shame to see so little from Zion knowing what he can do
It annoys me to see superstar players sit out and not play for a team because they don’t feel like it or choose not to invest themselves, but the fact that Zion is doing it is beyond frustrating considering how little he has contributed to the pelicans
I thought that me being a Pelicans fan was gonna be fun this reason. Boy was I wrong. Obviously, CJ is a great addition and Herb been doing really good and we finally have a stretch 3, but none of it works without Zion. We need you big guy. This is really sucking for all of us rn.
Remember watching Zion in that high school dunk contest years ago, such a talent, he needs some motivation, CJ and Ingram should be enough, but I just hope he comes back to his true form without having to go to another team.
Yea. A simple text “hey welcome to the team. If you wanna talk just text me” is all that’s needed. I would even send that text to non-players, such as coaches, trainers, and other staff
CJ seems well liked by the whole NBA honestly. Like did you read his farewell letter to Portland? Just like pure emotion and gratefulness. I really doubt he would mention it to the press just to be salty. The only acceptable reason for Zion not being reachable would be if he is super busy doing his rehab and focusing on his health. Like even then it wouldn't be great but at least slightly better than if he is just chilling and not reaching out to CJ.
My idea for a revamped Dunk Contest is inviting some pro dunkers, G leaguers, and out-of-the-league vets against the NBA guys to make it more competitive and show the differences of athleticism between all these players at different stages of their career
0:00 WHAT"S THE WORD Y"ALL 😤😎 0:44 Just came back from the All Star Game 1:22 Zion's situation before 1:57 CJ hasn't talked to Zion yet 3:23 JJ Reddick talking about the situation 4:02 Why this is important 5:11 Actions show that Zion doesn't want to be there 6:33 Something fishy about the Pelicans tweet 7:45 Is Zion on the Pace of Greg Oden? 8:30 What's going on with Zion 9:31 Will Zion want out? Backlash around it 10:56 Future of Pelicans 11:55 Sources think Zion might want out 12:46 Word Bust is thrown around too early 13:11 Conclusion It was really hard to pin each timestamp, and I would really recommend my channel where I make NBA stories, short stories, and anything NBA
The league just handed y'all AD and Zion and they both are gonna leave without doing anything 😂 the next number 1 pick is gonna be the one for y'all or its bust move the damn team.
@@buttnuts2599 what as an organization are the pelicans supposed to do? They built a good team around him, hired a player coach and haven't done anything bad to him. A line up of CJ, BI, Herb, Zion and Val is good enough to make the playoffs and having guys like Devonte Graham, Jaxon Hayes and Larry nance jr off the bench isnt too bad either. It's like kenny said in the video. If Zion goes to a big market team then it really is going to be a bad look for the nba because I feel like the Pelicans are doing everything they can to make zion happy
Kenny, if you want, could you speak on how you would change certain rules about games and/or rules about the All-Star game. I know people say there are problems that need to be fixed, but how would you fix them. Thanks Kenny.
Hey! Student at New York School of Interior Design here! If you need ideas, I'm your girl! First step into designing your new place, figuring out your style. You can go by style and figure colors from there that will go well with the rest of the rooms.
yo kenny popped off to try and get the 100k but mmg was on a tear. But that was the best shooting performance from kenny that i have ever seen so congrats on the progress and w set up cant wait to see it complete.
Knicks about to have to give up Randle, Robinson, Toppin, Quickley and all their picks till 2025 for Zion if this continues. Ain't no way any other team tries to trade for him with how clearly he wants to go to New York. And the Knicks don't have the cap space to give him a max contract even if he opts out. But hey... I guess seeing RJ Barrett, Zion Williamson and Cam Reddish as the 10th seed in the Play-In would be cool?
Knicks will lose the trade as usual. You cant trade the whole farm for a player that you don't know can stay healthy let alone play a handful of games in a season.
Moved into a new house a little over a year ago, me and my wife (gf at the time) went crazy with renovating and redecorating so we got you if you need help with that office layout 🤙
I think some GM was quoted as saying "It's not about getting a star, its about getting the right star." The Pelicans legitimately would have been better off with Ja. I get that no one would have ever taken him first under any circumstances, but in retrospect, he seems like a much better fit. Someone who doesn't seem to mind a smaller market, especially considering he went to a small college and wasn't always the guy in the spotlight, and seems content to play the long game and build something. Compared to Zion who has been a household name since he was like 16 and went to the most visible basketball program in college, a guy like that clearly wanted to be in a bigger market. I guess the point is, of course teams draft for talent, but these small market teams should perhaps be much more conscious of intangibles, which I know is hard to justify, because they have so much trouble getting those ultra talented players anywhere besides the draft, because they certainly aren't coming in free agency, but what good does it do to draft players who don't want to be on your team? Not only because they're a smaller market, but because they're not a particularly well run organization. The Lakers can get away with dysfunction, but you can't be a small market team, AND dysfunctional and expect players to want to stay. Zion is gonna have 3 coaches in 3 years fr.
Awesome video, love the new office. I think the red walls in the old setup were great, iconic even, but I’m not feeling the lights. I think the new setup needs its own vibe.
Background ideas: Fake fireplace or even a real one (Fake would be easier), add on a shelf to the top of the fireplace. Place awards/PlayButtons/and other things you enjoy, as well as some NBA props. You got the fire pictures to go on the wall after that. Maybe add a couple more shelves (more NBA props) if there is any space, but that’s completely up to you. Love the content Kenny! Keep it up!
Hi Kenny I just saw your vid today bcoz I keep rooting for zion since I knew him. I just subscribed to your channel, you talk fast but your words are very clear. I love and kinda like it! Keep it up bro! I'm from the Philippines by the way. Congrats again.
First off I love the new place Kenny see you from 2016 to 2022 shows the grind is real , you are the best one in the 2k community, I remember when 2k would SLEEP on you ne ever invite you to 2k events even when they had one in Chicago your home town , now you are friends wi tho NBA players and you interview players , I don’t know ANY other 2k RU-vidr doing that so yes you are the best and inspirational the smartest one in the community as well and 2nd it looks like Zion is similar to Greg Oden who was the first pic but due to injuries he never showed his full potential and with the 2nd pick being Ja Morant is showing what Kevin Durant did when Kevin was 2nd to Greg oden , I’m not saying Morant is like Durant but it’s crazy how similar that the 1st pick was supposed to be the best in the draft but really it’s the 2nd pick I pray for Zion tho because he was HUGE coming out of high school
Nothing related to the contents, always fun to listen to your perspective on what’s going on in the league. We proud of you bro! House tour coming soon?
Zion can’t be great if he doesn’t buy into the team aspect of the game. He hasn’t earned anything in New Orleans yet and he won’t be respected if he leaves for New York without giving the pels a chance
He doesn’t get care getting respected that’s why he’s rehabbing/ recovering away from the team … and hasn’t updTed the team… he doesn’t want to be there plain and simple
Kenny, I think you can opt for sound padding panels in front and above your recording area. You could maybe just get a nice rug to cover your whole room. Send some deets, I can refer ya to a good interior designer as I'm busy rn.
They have a solid core of Graham, CJ, Ingram, Zion, and Jonas along with a solid enough bench, so I don’t really see how it is that Zion is unhappy where he is in his situation unless something is happening behind the scenes that we’re just entirely unaware of
I think it's fair to talk about the possibility of a lock-out as a result of Zion potentially leaving NOLA for a larger market but you have to remember that Ja is also in the same rookie class as Zion. As of right now, it seems like Ja loves Memphis and they're building a special team out there so, at the moment, it's hard to imagine Ja leaving his own small market team. As long as Ja stays, I don't think the discussion that offseason will revolve around the fairness of small vs large market teams, rather it'll be about NOLA failing to keep Zion content enough to stay (since every large market team could say that Memphis now is a championship contender with Ja). Is this fair? No. I mean regardless, I would imagine most up-and-coming superstars would rather be in a huge market rather than a place like NOLA. This is a huge problem in all of major sports and there really doesn't seem to be a fair way to fix things without extending the minimum amount of years on rookie deals or something drastic like that.
At this point we all need to stop the narrative that this is the pels fault. The coach is great, the team has tremendously improved and retooled specifically around Zion's talents. It's not the front offices fault that Zion is overweight, keeps getting injured, won't talk to anyone on the team, etc. He is acting like a little kid throwing a fit because he wanted to play in New York. Someone needs to explain that being a professional basketball player is still a job and you don't get to do whatever you want
@@bourgeoisraccoon I agree, it's not the Pelican's fault at all. I don't really understand why Zion would be unhappy with the front office/team surrounding him at this point. The team has played well the little bit he has been on the court and the team has a better supporting cast now than this time last year. It'll be sad if he just gives up on a franchise without even attempting to make anything work. It's not like Zion's played 90% of the games, the team drafted terribly, and didn't make any trades... they have done everything they possibly can to make the team better (and it seems like they have).
Devin Booker earlier years sucks so much, he put numbers but no wins and support. the draft, the coaching changes every year, 4 point guards one season, I know he’s not a superstar yet but his investment with the team made him grow and look at him now..
@@bourgeoisraccoon @Cameron Fye You guys are speaking facts. The Pels have done a lot to accommodate Zion; new coaches, new player that are better fits, totally revamped medical staff, etc.
I like the vibes with the light. Maybe could go for something more permanent than on the floor lol but maybe a light that can change colors for different videos?
It bothers me that "people in Zions camp" say he's unhappy and don't wanna play for the Pelicans but it doesn't feel like Zion is even trying to give them a chance. Like he got hurt, came back overweight and he's been pretty much checked out ever since and idk what's the cause but I do think it's a conversation that needs to be had between these camps
He just might going through a depression right now he will bounce back he is a young man he is human at the end of the day When people withdrawal from you and no contact know it's something give them their space
