The one that looks like a pocket watch was actually gold sovereign coin holder you could get ones to fit half and one for whole sovereign coins. The brochure even though they aren’t gold or silver some of them can get more money than ones with gold and silver Sheridan is definitely one to look for because they used the best gem stores for their jewellery

You're driving my OCD crazy working on top of yourself going through those drawers! Get a second empty bin or box to place items you have already looked at into so you (and we) can see what is under the layer you removed, please. I know a lot of resellers would love to see a more detailed look at all the jewelry and coins. Awesome content, could watch a find like this for hours!!!

All old perfume smells the same . It's not wine it doesn't age well. It was definitely a luxury item. Thats why all grandma's smelled funny. Because they were to frugal to through out perfume that had turned.

8.24 that wooden pin cushion spool holder mouse thing might be an early Mickey Mouse piece...if so it is, it is very old. The center part, the head might come off and the body might hold needles or pins. This might be very valuable....it warrants further researching.

even those old empty small boxes are collectible. they work well in shadow boxes or for setting up vintage rooms in movie sets. Never throw an old paper box away if it advertises the product that was in it. Put them in lots and sell them.

I love your show and cool finds. But it really bothers me when you joke and ridicule the person who has hoarded all these treasures for people like you to enjoy. Put yourself in their shoes, would you like someone going through your things and cracking jokes? Most hoarders mean well by storing all their things for hard times. People like you get the benefit from hoarders, no need to joke about them or their mental state. On the other hand, I truly love watching all the historic items that you find. Just try to remember when you're tearing through their belongings...these were real people, someone's parents and grandparents. They were doing what they felt would benefit their offspring. Thanks for sharing your treasures.

I don't know why... this hoarder house makes me sad. Makes me want to purge/sell all my silly artifacts and collections and do something productive with the money instead of leaving it all in the dust when I die. I don't have 1% of this level of stuff but my kids won't want to deal with it no more than this heir does. It's amazing the importance we put on such stuff while we are living when it all really comes to nothing but a bunch of meaningless artifacts at the end. Blessings be on their memory, tho.

14:17 back in the '70s they made a reproduction grouping of old political buttons mounted on a frame like that so be sure and double check. If they were original from an old collection they would be in various states of condition or wear. ps, yes, I typed this before you were done and now we do know that they are 1972 reproductions

I worked in a Savings & Loan in the late 70’s. A woman brought in a savings book she had found in her mom’s attic. At that time we had computers that you fed the book into after entering the account number to update any transactions. It started updating the interest earned for all of the years since it was brought in. It wound up adding several thousands of dollars in interest. Everyone was shocked that it was still an active account!

There's definitely alot of old stuff there older people collect some amount of stuff my grandmother buys alsorts and I end up with it but unfortunately had to give it away or toss it out because I am going to be moving soon so can't afford to take too much with me apart from my own stuff and my kids but definitely great finds

Pull out all drawers, look upside down, check all woodwork for hidden places...basement and attic. My dad use keep cash in special envelope attached to 2 wood guides for top drawer to dresser drawer...no one ever could find it.
