Additions from future me: (1) *Many of you rec Kanken backpacks, but they just aren't my style* :) I have given one as a gift to a friend though! (2) *Wiping down your plane seat is a smart move* and I've never been sick while traveling since I started doing this. There are studies that have found e. coli on tray tables as plane seats are not disinfected between flights. Tons of illnesses are spread from touching infected surfaces then touching your face. Happy travels xxx

Backpack recommendation: a Fjallraven Kanken. It's a swedish backpack and they designed the straps of the backpack to evenly distribute the weight so your shoulders and back wont hurt easily and the space in the backpack is HUGE even the mini fjallraven can be ur day to day purse replacement. And since you like to bring ur laptop with you, i suggest getting their 15" or 17" laptop backpack as they have their own compartment on the back and have extra padding on the straps and laptop compartment. it's absolutely comfortable, stylish, AND very durable (since they're also water resistant).

I have a pharmacy/utility pouch I carry with me all the time too! Mom says I carry too much stuff but I always like to tell her, “you never know when you’ll need it.” And the surgical tape! I thought I was weird for carrying a roll of tape with me. People need to know how useful that roll of tape is. It’s so much better than using bandaid to prevent blisters.

I think a very effective way to keep your liquids from spilling is taking off their caps, placing a piece of plastic on the lid and then put the cap back on! I do this every time and never had leaks ^_^

I flew to Alaska from Ireland on my own in 2015 (first time flying that far alone) & brought my skincare stuff to do a mini facial on the 11 hour London to LA flight. Going through security at LAX my hands tested positive for bomb residue & I freaked the hell out! Turns out it was just something in the cleanser/moisturiser I'd used! Won't be doing that again in a hurry! 😅

Aloha! I just recently got back from Cairns and Brisbane Australia! I love your country! I bought a ebags travel flight backpack and it will hold your bose headphones in a perfect place. Of all the traveling and bags I've bought, that backpack by far hold everything and you can open it wide open to see everything. Also, use a neoprene cover for your DSLR camera. I no longer use a bag but protect my camera with a neoprene cover.

Made some time to watch at home on PC to get the full screen experience, as I always get excited over your videos :) That clean layout is so my style. So this may sound basic to some, but how about a clothes folding/organization video? I love folding or hanging up and organizing mine, and I'd love to see any tips you have!

I usually have a doc wallet with me for my passport, tickets, and other docs. If it is a long haul then I will have my toothbrush as well, depending on the airplane whether or not they have it available for the passengers. A little mirror will always come handy for reapplying make up before getting off the plane. an extra Ziploc plastic bag would also be very useful to pack those meal items I want to eat later on. Like your video as you have great twmpo and rhytm of voice.. soothing! thanks a bunch..

Hi there! Dakine makes the BEST backpacks. They aren't the cutest, but they have so many different compartments and make it very easy to organize your things. The one I have always loved is the Dakine Prom Laptop Back. Hope this helps! :)

You can bring the bottle through empty. If you want to bring it through with liquid it must be solid frozen.

if you're still looking for a good backpack kankens are very very nice. they are really sturdy and can hold a lot of items (including a full size laptop) so i really recommend it

Kankens are an awesome functional backpack! My sister has one and I bought one for my friend last Christmas haha. I'm just not sure they're exactly my style, but thanks for the tip, perhaps I will reconsider :)

+Jade Furuta I've never had it picked up or even questioned! Make sure you check the rules and regulations of the airport security of the country you are visiting in advance, because some are stricter than others. Many countries allow sharp objects as long as they are under a certain length. Remember my nail file is a mini size as well and has a smoothed tip.

I know, it sucks right? when I see it in products like Altoids I feel like it's so unnecessary. but I should point out that you might not know when I went strict vegan. I clarify it in the info box of my vegan content, but I don't have the time to go to every single one of my old videos to say "this video was made before I transitioned to veganism" etc. and this travel video is about 8 months old!

it's not a stupid question! technically speaking, honey is considered not to be vegan as it comes from bees which are part of the animal kingdom. some vegans consume honey and others don't, it's at their own discretion. I personally choose to avoid it where possible. also maybe check the date of the video cos I've not always been vegan (as I'm sure you can tell from some of my older vlogs too) xxx
