Watching this while balling my eyes out at 12 weeks pregnant, after my husband just left me for no reason with 4 kids and a 5th baby on the way. I've NEVER felt so alone in my life. I'm scared but i know god will be there with me every step of the way. Cam is an amazing husband and you deserve a loving, supportive husband like him Mal. Wishing you both all the best in becoming new parents. You both are going to be amazing parents ❤️
Hey I know I’m just a stranger online but I want you too know even though this is Father’s Day the Lord is with you and will guide you in this misfortune you will be ok later down the line he has you in his hands it may not feel like it but I promise you even tho it may seem corny everything happens for a reason and maybe you will see that this was a good thing I don’t know he God does so In this trail your going through pray and protect your kids and stay strong because you have a Father that loves and is protecting you
Great packing! Love the eye mask. A couple things I was glad we packed: 1. Nipple cream (if you plan to breastfeed) 2. Multiple copies of your birth plan, in the likely case that the first copy goes missing 3. A folder to keep together allllll the papers you will receive 4. A notebook and pen to record the feed times, pees, poos, number of pads I used etc. the nurses will ask for this info and you’ll be so sleep deprived that you’ll just blank! I intended to use an app to record these things, but I ended up just having my husband in charge of keeping a written record 5. Prenatal vitamins, especially if you plan to breastfeed. You’ll still need to be taking your vitamins, and you don’t know how long you’ll be in the hospital.
Baby girl is taking her time. She will come when she is ready. Sending love and positive energy for Mal and your baby to have an easy and healthy birth.
Enjoy this process guys ♡ my lil one is a month old and he is currently sleeping on me and motherhood is literally the most magical thing I've ever experienced. Y'all gonna be great parents ! Sending all the love and good vibes for an easy birth 👣
I agree! My little one just turned 5 months. It goes by so fast. Also, as a new parent, all you hear is the "bad things." It's refreshing to hear people being positive about parenthood and how beautiful it is to see your little one grow. Motherhood is magical, and so are our babies. Congratulations, and my prayers go out to you❤
You're a dad just like Mel is a mom. She celebrated Mother's before baby came so you can celebrate fathers day or at least celebrate the fact that you are going to be a dad in person. Congratulations guys. God bless all three of you. ❤🙏🏼
Over the course of the past few months, your guys’s journey has been absolutely incredible. Seeing Mal’s pregnancy has really shown everybody how great of parents north of your guys are going to be!!! So excited for the baby❤❤❤❤❤❤
I hope everything goes well!! Don’t be bummed out or stressed if the birthing plan doesn’t go to plan. They rarely do but it is very important to have one to get prepared! Enjoy it all, every bit of it!
But also give yourself room to those feelings of being bummed out, if the birth does not go as you hoped :) i have had quite a few friends that just supressed these feelings, bc they thought they had been stupid to even have hopes and wishes, but it is so hard not to. The more Grace and kindness you can meet yourself with regardless of how it will go, the better
Make sure whatever is there in your room at the hospital like diapers, wipes, cream etc you take it home with you. Along with the after birth items for Mal. The squirt bottle will most likely be your best friend for atleast a few days 😊. Good luck you guys! You all are going to do great and will be holding her before you know it ❤
@@dubious6718 🤣🤣🤣 not quite! The reason I mentioned above was because the hospital normally bills the mothers insurance company, so those items are hers. A lot of people don’t know you can take those items.
Also, the hospital does throw away whatever is unused after mom and baby are discharged. If you have a cool nurse they will give you extras to take home 😊
Swaddle is def not unnecessary! I used my Muslin swaddle in the hospital and it was the best for background pictures of baby and swaddling! Also, wound up being her favorite blankie that she took to. You guys are amazing! Such a breath of fresh air! The love of God shines through the both of you.
I get flashbacks watching you prep. The snacks are great, having your own clothes makes you feel nice too. Only thing I want to say, not to scare you or anything, but it will very likely be not super smooth. Labour and birth can bring you to the limits and beyond of what you thought was possible. It can be empowering, scary and desperate at the same time. Rest, feeling clean, sunshine, and fresh air, is a priority for the post partum period in the hospital. I hope you have a safe and happy journey to parenthood. Ask your family and friends for help if you are overwhelmed. It makes a huge difference.
I squealed so loud it sounded like a whistle.😂😂😂😂I’m so excited for you guys to be parents you guys will do amazing jobs as parents I am so happy for you.
I’m so excited for you guys to be parents, you are already doing great ❤️ just a note from a labor and delivery nurse: hold your birth plan loosely! Labor is very unpredictable and if you’re too attached to the idea of it in your head, you are likely to be disappointed. You’re gonna do great, I’ll keep praying for a smooth labor for you ❤❤❤
Good luck from an Australian who had 5 kids and now has 12 grandchildren. I love watching your show, you two are so natural and easy going you will be great parents.
I have been watching you guys since I have gotten pregnant, because my friend stated she enjoyed y’all’s vlogs, my baby is a little girl and she is due the 17th of June and may come early, we are actually feeling tomorrow, so congratulations to you guys, I am praying for you guys to have a safe and healthy labor!
Also have to sleep with a box fan! Coming from a mom of 5, I highly recommend putting witch hazel in with the warm water in your peri bottle, using those ice pack pads, and also adding a layer of tucks pads on top of the pads. Also recommend adult diapers for the first few days. Can't wait to see her!!!! Good luck, yall will be great parents! Edit- Idk if they still do this (my youngest is almost 11 years old lol) but sitz baths helped me a lot, too. 2nd edit lol- Don't forget to stay on top of taking your stool softeners. And if you have any issues with breastfeeding (99% sure I remember you saying you'll be breastfeeding, if I'm wrong my apologies and ignore this) I'll comment my tips on whichever video you mention that in.
You’re already a real Dad Cam 😉 Yep, the work load’s going to increase exponentially soon, buuuuuttt…. 1. You want the baby 2. You’ve been feeding her exactly what she need to grow strong and healthy for MONTHS via the Mamma 3. You helped set up her nursery 4. You’ve provided her a safe and loving home and everything she needs to thrive What else have I missed? You’re a real Dad. I think we’d all love to grow up as a kid in yours and Mal’s family ❤
Love this! I’m a day overdue as of today and watching their videos along side my pregnancy journey has been so fun! Hopefully both our babies will be making their appearance soon! ❤
I’m 16 weeks pregnant with my second and I’m having so many emotions watching y’all. It’s bringing back so many memories of when I was heading to the hospital with my firstborn.
I was 14 days post my due date with my first and my labor started at the doctor's office the minute he said I would need to come in for an induction the following morning. I was in labor all night and showed up at the hospital at 9:00 a.m. at 4 cm dilated and gave birth three hours later.
I’m soooooo ready. I’ve been keeping up for a while now! I wonder if she’s going to look more like Cam or Mal. You guys are going to be the best parents.🫶🏻
Both of you are gonna be awesome parents. She will be very lucky to have such sweet and loving parents like you guys. I hope Mal has a safe and easy labour! 💖✨
As a second time mom here you definitely over packed but your prepared for anything. ❤❤ Congratulations you guys on your baby girl she will definitely be here very soon ❤️💜 whenever she ready.
I highly recommend a blanket possibly pillow for dad/cam because most the time they don't supply any of that for the spouse. And your own shampoo and conditioner and body wash because that first shower is heavenly after birth and just makes you feel more comfortable with your own products and I brought my own little throw blanket because it was a comforting piece of home
I recommed to bring some nursing pads for when your colostrum comes in. My hospital didnt provide them. But youll just start leaking randomly. Breastfeeding/pumping for the first time is complicated but you can do it! The baby wont be "eating" very much the first day. I was totally shook when I learned for the first couple of months babies will only drink 2oz a feeding and theyll need to feed every hour or so. I mean stands to reason their tummies are so small.
Your uterus has never experienced this before so it can stretch a lot more and also it doesn’t know when to give so usually the first pregnancy will be the one that runs the longest (or so I understand from my vast research on the subject but I’m not a medical professional nor is this medical advice) best of luck to you both on this huge next chapter in your lives ❤
You guys are so cute I'm crying❤ I'm so excited for you both entering this next chapter of your lives together and Im so grateful that you allow us to see little parts of it. God bless your family and I'm praying for a healthy delivery and recovery for mama and baby ❤
I know you already Had the baby but FYI take the extra diapers, wipes, even ask for formula if you are not breastfeeding and ask for extras of everything your insurance pays for it all. I was given so much with all 3 of my babies. We had enough just from hospital to get through first week.
❤❤🎉🎉🎉 If you pump breast milk it can induce labour its also handy to have a supply before the baby is there so dad can feed her while you rest! You can also freeze it and save it for days when baby's not well if you wanna use formula it can also be turned into soap and put in bath water to help eczema and nappy rash! 🎉🎉❤❤❤
something very important when your baby is sleeping vacuum because it makes them a deeper sleeper but if you try and be quiet while the baby sleeps then your baby will be a very light sleeper. I recommend this my mum did it and I sleep great!
So exciting!!!!!! Can't wait to see baby (even if you do blur the face which is completely your choice so I'm not putting my opinion bc it's not my baby)
Mal I believe you are going to do great! Remember that breastfeeding but it is also painful at first. I am not trying to scare you just giving you the heads up no one gave me. Lubricate those nippies and give your self loads of grace!! I am praying you have a great delivery and post partum experience! I am so happy for y’all! 🎉 yay baby!
