I don't even have the ability to move to Montana yet, your content is just so darn good that I just keep watching it. I can tell you really love Montana, thanks for going through all this effort to show off the character and atmosphere of the state, I can even see it in your background, something about it just emits the feeling of being in a cozy and well decorated bunker in an enormous, sparsely populated land. Also I just find you to be such a likable character, the passion you have for Montana, the excitement with which you speak about it, and the genuine and organic descriptions you give of the places there, also some of your videos are really funny.

Thank you for your kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm actually heading out the door to record another video now. Had a break from it for a bit but don't worry, more are on the way. Anything you want to know about MT? "I am in love with Montana. For other states I have admiration, respect, recognition, even some affection, but with Montana it is love." - John Steinbeck

@@HarrisGroupMT To be honest I can't really think of anything that I'd like to know at the moment, thank you for the offer though. Personally, I think a greater emphasis on some photos/videography of Montana would be awesome to see, maybe if you or anyone you know is a really skilled photographer/cinematographer, you could get them to do that, though the videos look great as they are now. Also, this last thought of mine is a bit strange, though I think it would be cool to try out a wide-angle lens approach, to make things look somewhat cinematic, though that may not be what you are going for. Thank you for responding.

I miss the good old days, in the 70s when we could go to any Lake Northwest Montana and there wasn’t hardly anybody there. Basically had the whole place to ourselves. Going up to glacier Park and driving through would maybe see only 20 people instead of bumper to bumper cars like it is today. Last time I was in the park was 1997 in knew then I would never be going back. Too many people And you can imagine how it is now. My home is not home anymore. God made western Montana Paradise out of staters have made it hell. And I won’t even get into the problem with the crime and transients. 😢😢😢😢😢

Oh, I spent a delightful 18 years in Montana, soaking up the high school and college experience. Isn't it just fabulous how Montana is blessed with picturesque landscapes? But the cherry on top is the lack of, well, actual jobs and the warm, fuzzy embrace of locals who aren't exactly thrilled to see outsiders. A true paradise, right?
@elizavella
@elizavella 11 месяцев назад
Montanans dont like outsiders because they come here and destroy our forest and lands and try to change our way of life. THe lack of respect is what the locals hate. So yeah no warm and fuzzies there! That would happen no matter where you go in any state where the people are protective of where they live!

The thing I most remember about growing up in Montana: short, hot summers, and long, cold, snowy winters. The chinooks *do* make winter more bearable, however.

I love Montana. You have Glacier NP and part of Yellowstone. I am in WA State and we love vacationing in Montana. We are thinking about retiring to Montana in about 7 years because we vacation a lot in West Glacier (Polebridge area) and it’s much like WA State, except not as liberal (thank God!), and that appeals to us. Montana is having the same issue we have here in parts of Western WA where all the outsiders (mostly Californians) are moving here, driving up the cost of living, and bringing in their ideologies trying to change us (not all towns/cities in Western WA is democrat or liberal). I’m from SE Alabama originally and I would never move somewhere and try to change the people to fit my ideologies/political leanings. I would adapt to where I live as I had to do when moving to WA State. I can’t wait to make Montana my permanent home so I can go to Glacier as much as I like.

@@HarrisGroupMT Because we work for the Navy and need to retire first. I full time telework/remote work, but my husband is an engineer so he has to go into the office every day to meet with contractors and do site visits. But, Montana is our #1 retirement goals!

7 people per square mile and Montana's full? Highly doubt that but then again the same people who rant and rave about the free market also complain when people out compete them for housing. As long as Montana is apart of the US people can move anywhere they want as long as they can afford it. If you can't afford living here that's the free market working it's magic.

Hey brother, I just got chance in MSU at the Dept of Mechanical Engineering for my MSc degree. I got Graduate Research Assistantship at about 1600 usd per month without tution fee for the 2023 spring session. I am an international student and by this amount of money can I afford myself in Bozman for a very simple life near MSU.

Congratulations. I would recommend looking into what housing options they have available from the University. That will probably be the cheapest option.

What is hutton montana like? How deep does snow get? Is town friendly to neecomers?
@HarrisGroupMT
@HarrisGroupMT 2 года назад
I'm assuming you mean Dutton Montana. That's a super small town north of Great Falls. It looks like they average around 40" of snow per year which isn't a ton. I don't have any personal experience with this town. There is only about 300 people there so it's likely a pretty tight knit community. If you fit in there you will do fine. If you don't you may struggle.

I visit family in Montana frequently and I wouldn't live there myself if you paid me. Beautiful area, interesting activities but the people don't give two hoots about anyone but themselves. Poor customer service, poor attitude, poor community services, and twisted values.
@HarrisGroupMT

That's definitely not the consensus. I'm sorry you have had that experience
