You left out the religious manipulation aspect and cults. They are all over the place. I lived there for a year and had to run. I lost everything.

Most of those homes in Western Billings amd other places are just summer vacation homes. They dont bring in yearly tax revenue for the city. Its the Palm Springs of the North.

Montana is 90% white, 5% African American. 5% Native American. Yet all the Fentynal is coming from the southern border. Soon the state will be taking over by Cartels growing weed in acres in the states parks and private lands. And on the reservations which the government can't control.

Keep Montana a Red State. Don't let the Democrats from California turn it Blue. Although you enjoy the higher price for selling and real estate value increase.

That makes sense. There is a lot of government work in Helena because it is the capital. It is a pretty neat place. Mountains and lakes nearby if you like spending time outdoors. Let me know if you need to be referred to an agent there if you tske the job. Or feel free to reach out with any questions.

What help is there in Montana with those with mental-health issues? Like the coverage of medication, food benefits and counseling and those of very low income who are contemplating section8 housing, etc?

I live in Washington, and visit family in Kalispell MT. The first thing I notice while entering the sate is miles and miles of roads lined with crosses from people who died while driving and I also couldn't help but notice while driving these roads that there are no signs telling you how fast to go on these roads. I have a nephew who is only 14 and is now driving!

Montana is HUGE and each area is unique in every way. NW Montana is by far the best in almost every way. There is a huge variety of things to see and do up there compared to other areas and it the most scenic as well. Bonus for not being a college town too.

Idaho and Montana both got drunk off Calif. money. Thanks to Bidenomics and peoples inability to eat and such now I see prices are dropping. 5 acres with a POS double wide on it went from 250k to 650k in some places, ridicolousness at it's finest and realtors pushing the prices up and stupid people paying them. Everything Calif. touches goes to crap. Tx, Tenn, Id, MT, Wyo, Ark, Or, Utah, Nv, Az, SD the list goes on and on. I hear the rent in Jackson Hole is astronomical now.

Moving from Phoenix to Montana would be a big cluster flop. Winters in Phoenix are about 60 degrees, winters in Montana are 20 degrees to negative. Visiting Montana in the summer would be bearable, but moving there? Not gonna happen.

Bad sides of Montana: Note, this is my opinion : Extreamly high alcoholism rate. Large amount of drunk drivers - day & night, 7 days a week. Uness you live in cities similar to Helena, Billings, Missoula or Bozeman, there is a deep seeded hatred towards people moving in from other states and towards tourists. The racism is REAL. Especially in the smaller towns. The suicide rate is absolutely astonishing. And every year it near decreases. Violence, especially towards women. Conservative views- which in themself aren't necessarily bad, but what is disturbing is the extreme views where many of the conservative natives are in favor of killing gays, transgenders, mixed race couples, liberals, etc. In some areas of the state, it's overwhelming. Drugs are in every state- Montana is no different, sometimes it just takes a litter longer for the newer drugs to be prolific here. Homelessness is WAY lower in Montana than places like California, Oregon, Washington State and is USUALLY confined to cities like Helena, Billings and similar sized cities. Im sure it's In smaller towns as well but it's not nearly as noticeable.

Bozeman or the county lacks the infrastructure and water supply for natural disasters, forest fires…it will all go into ashes in the event there are fires. So as potential homebuyers…paying for an overpriced home, high insurance and the potential to loosing your home to a natural disaster…I’d look elsewhere.

I am retired from the Air Force and I got stationed in Great Falls in 1989. I bought my first house, kept it when I got transferred to New Mexico, and returned after I retired in June 1995. Montana is a wonderful place to live and raise a family. I eventually left only because my wife , of 35 years, passed away and I then got remarried. In this day and age, there are no perfect places but we enjoyed living in Great Falls and Montana. My deceased wife loved Great Falls and Great Falls was a big city by my standards because I grew up in small town of about 24,000 in New Hampshire.

Alcohol is a carcinogen. Meth destroys your brain. Fentanyl can make your lungs stop. Most users do not live long enough to study long term effects. It is a tough world out there and you need to be aware of what is going on around you. You can't do that when your head is mussied by drug or alcohol abuse.

I live in the county in ohio ,I have your same county values .but I was saving $ and found nice 20 acre lots for around $ 40 k ,then after the pandemic property sold out as soon as the lock down was over, then 20 acres is 80 to 130 k ,eastern mt, county property all over the US more than doubled. Im still saving . But I'm getting older
