This project was made to highlight how everybody can have equally valid and beautiful opinions that formed due to a vast amount of reasons, whether it be about your favorite Pokemon, game, region or theme.
- I contacted a bunch of Pokemon influencers who produce a majority of Pokemon content, that had 50k+ subs/followers and were active during the time I began reaching out to Poketubers a few months ago, to answer these famous questions. There were a good amount of Poketubers who were too busy to give me their answers in time. Keep in mind I had to set a threshold so this video wouldn't contain 100+ Poketubers and end up being an hour long. Enjoy!

The original Gameboy themes such as gold and red is better because the Gameboy limitations of sound is what makes it good. The beeps is what makes it iconic. While the ds sounds are mid 2000s sounds.

Ron, I just have to say thank you for doing these videos. This project highlights the differences around a special and diverse community, based on something we all can appreciate. Hearing everyone's reasons why their favorite is their favorite, with that said music playing in the background, had my emotions all over the place in the best way possible.The music in Pokemon is probably my favorite aspect of the entire franchise. Also thanks for a great year's worth of videos! Best of luck in 2019!

I can't really explain this any better so I'm just gonna try and say it the best that I can. Being someone who adores Pokémon because of how much it has positively impacted my life but doesn't have anyone that I know who feels the same way or even likes it, seeing videos like these with my favourite PokeTubers and how they feel about certain themes, certain Pokémon and more means so much to me. I don't know if you've ever been told this before but, honestly, thank you, Ron.

I think I know what you mean. we don't have people IRL who have interest in pokemon, and watching poketubers doing play throughs and top tens is already great, but this series ron is doing is so much more personal, and it's so validating to know there are people out there who have also been so deeply and positively affected by pokemon, people who understand it's not just a show or a game, it means so much to them. it's nice to know we share that with others, even if it's not the friends we know off the internet.

I couldn't agree more. Pokémon is far more than a game to me, and it's really nice to know that I'm not alone in thinking that way. I'm currently writing a Pokémon story, for example. I've been playing Pokémon for eleven years now - my first game was Pokémon Diamond - and even now I still get immersed in every game I play and love it wholeheartedly. It's fantastic to be part of the Pokémon community, it really is.

For me Primal Dialga's theme was the most emotional theme in franchise's history (that fact your fighting to save the future against a literal corrupted deity while knowing full well you'll cease to exist afterwards and thus leaving your partner behind...) so many feels... :'-(.

I was pleasantly surprised to see several amazing tracks that aren't talked about as much as they should be! I liked how a few RU-vidrs couldn't really explain why they loved a theme... music really is just magical sometimes. Great vid Ron!

Man this was so cool! I never really paid that much attention to the music but hearing some of these really put a smile of my face! It made me think what music tracks I really liked and I went and listened to them. I have to say, I forgot how nice some of them were. Funny enough, my favorites are a lot of the original hoenn tracks! Petalburg woods I discovered was high on my list which is odd but at the same time i spent a lot of time there when i was a kid and first playing the games. Also the route themes in hoenn are really nice. Doot do do doot do do doot do doooo!

WHERE IS THE JUSTICE FOR ZINNIA'S BATTLE THEME IN ORAS?? It's amazing! I never wanted to end the battle with her because her music was JUST. SO. GOOD. Plus the final Team Magma/Aqua theme WOW that beat drop was insane, I remembered just dropping my 3DS in shock and awe. And also, Unwavering Heart from Black and White (I think that's what it's called?) is so calming yet bittersweet. Show some love for these underrated gems!

My favorite just has to be the Ghetsis theme. I always make sure to use it when I'm at the battle tree or battling online. It just made the Ghetsis battle from the Team Rainbow Rocket part so much better. He truly feels evil to me and the theme definitely represents that. It's just one theme that I love to battle to and can't get enough of. The sun and moon introduction theme would be another one for me because it's so much fun and really made me happy. It's so much fun for me to listen to and I always get excited when I hear it. Also, I love these kinds of videos. They're so relaxing to watch and always make me really happy seeing everyone talk about what they love and why they love it. It's just so peaceful and sweet.

"An Eternal Prison" and "An Unwavering Heart" are my favorites. The cutscene that plays when AZ is telling his story is one of the greatest moments in Pokemon. Undella Town is fantastic too. It's so peaceful to have playing in the background while working on something else.

I would definitely say that my favourite Pokemon music is either the Gym Leader Theme or the Champion Theme from FireRed and LeafGreen because I basically grew up with those games and was the first time I was introduced to Pokemon nearly 15 years ago that those themes in particular stuck with me as I constantly faced against the Elite Four over and over again as I push on using my Venusaur until I face against my Rival's Charizard.

Ron, I have a request for a video from you. Any chance you could do a video about the ENCOUNTER themes throughout pokemon games (rival, champion, npc, enemy etc.)? Whether it be a ranking, analysis or whatever, I feel like these themes are vastly underrated and don't get the attention they deserve since they normally play just briefly before the battle theme comes along. No matter the style of video it comes in, I'm sure you'd do it justice.

The Music of the Pokémon games is definitely one of the most beautiful aspects of the games as they make the events in the games come alive and you can immerse yourself in the world! The music allows us to remember certain moments of the games and makes them more enjoyable and memorable! But this was great to see just how vastly different people’s opinions were on the music of the games! As for me, I personally love Rowan’s theme when you first start Pokémon DPPT as it really exemplifies that feeling of “welcome to the world of Pokémon” that all the professors say. And it was the first professor theme I ever heard so I literally welcomed me to the world of Pokémon! I also really love the theme of Twinleaf Town, Route 209, the Indigo Plateau Theme, the Kalos League Theme, Victory Road (BW), and The opening theme for SM!!

I like the New Bark Town themes. Crystal was my first mainstream pokemon game, so the gen 2 New Bark theme was the start of my first real pokemon adventure. And its theme on Heartgold and Soulsilver is really nostalgic, like it's saying "Welcome home. It's been a while, but we're glad you're back."

I love that you're bringing the game music to peoples attention, not enough people appreciate the amazing music pokemon has given us! Some crazy people even play with the sound off (the horror!) Now some constructive criticism which you're free to fully ignore but still: I can't get the thought out of my head that you clearly instructed everyone to look to the side like they were talking to someone even though no one is there, and it's really distracting me. Especially since you're doing it yourself in the beginning when you're clearly the creator of the video, it looks so silly. I get that it's supposed to look like an interview, but since they're mostly in their private rooms it looks sort of fake and awkward to me. I think it's a great style for short clips in a tv production where it's balanced with other content, here there's just too many of them in a row. And youtube is so different from tv, people watch youtubers to feel a personal connection to them, so talking/looking directly at your viewers seems more honest and not so distant. It's clear to me that you've studied film making so I thought if anyone would appreciate feedback it would be you. Sorry if I seem mean, just some thoughts :)

This is the best Pokemon content ever, i just love watching these over and over again and just trying to pick my favourite (in this case music of course). When it comes to battle themes i just have to say Unova Elite 4. I can listen to this theme over a million times, it never gets boring. When it comes to my favourite town/route theme, i just can't think of one. I can only agree to some of the themes said in this video (littleroot theme for example ❤️) Ron, just keep up the good work, you deserve every like, comment and subscription you get! :) 👌

Galdions battle music is my kind of showdown and the piano version of Lillies theme at the end of sun and moon really makes you feel melancholic and nostalgic for the adventure you just had. Also, I love the HGSS version of lavender down as it is my favorite rendition of that tune, it's so serene and reflects how much that town has changed from SpOoKy GhOsTs to "slow down and relax by the radio".

Couldn’t find the poll but I did find this where ppl were dissing sinnoh’s boring OST: gamefaqs.gamespot.com and if you look in some amino pages you will see a bunch of people saying sinnoh had the worst OST

Gen 4 has great music overall tbh but I also really like Zinnia's theme,it's heckin' awesome. Also,the abandoned ship theme from R/S/E is great!

I love this series of vidoes Mr. Green, this video just touched my heart, man pokemon music is so great. Is hard to pick one but one of my favorite is the bike theme from the og gold and silver. Hearing that music always gets me pumped, I would even get of the bike and back on it when I got to a new area just to listen to it

This was awesome! I recognized a bunch of the poke tubers in the video but never actually seen how They look, including yourself of course. I loved listening to every theme on the list and truly felt a rush of nostalgia that I can't get over. What a great time for the Pokemon community, truly an amazing video.

Great video! My favorite Pokemon song, and one I consider to be underrated, would be Anville Town from BW. That song sends chills up my spine. I feel I could tear up from its sheer beauty.

(I like answering the questions myself for no reason) I have multiple favorites, for town music it’s goldenrod city, it sounds so pleasing and relaxing, especially since stupid Whitney is there, my favorite battle music is easily the ultra necrozma battle, I love how ominous it is, and for the best welcome music, the kalos theme is hands down the best, it was my first Pokémon game and it’s both because of how elegant it is, and the nostalgia factor

Another amazing collab, my man. Here's to more stuff like this in the future. For me, the Verdanturf theme (RSE) takes the cake. This has to be one of the most harmonious themes in the franchise, mainly because of the soft and soothing instrumentation. I used to have my avatar stand in the middle of town, and leave the game on the table just to listen to it. Memories of my first ever adventure in Hoenn flood my mind whenever I hear it. Honorable mentions go to Eterna Forest, Pokemon League (Sinnoh, night) and N's Farewell.
