What's New at 187 Customs?! Quick Update On Every Project In The Shop!

I have a 2018 Silverado. It has a 6 speed transmission but it has a 3:42 rear. So maybe Shawn's issue is that his has a lower ratio rear.

Thanks for what you guys do put out. It probably would take most of us two years just to get up to the pace you guys set for your work days. And we'd all be behind still. A lot of moving parts and people behind the scenes that help you. Thanks again, we all wish we could be living the dream.

Their come a time when every RU-vid channel has to say I’m just to busy making content to make a video. I think you guys are there. Why not hire a video/Editor guy to take over the RU-vid side of Shawn’s business? Phantom is just to busy being a one man pit crew. Hire someone to video the track stuff and sell merchandise on the side during NPK. The channel had some momentum, don’t let it slow down because you are to busy. Film schools across the country have kids that graduate every year that would love to follow a race team around the country. Film in the shop during the offseason. They could film Rick painting cars on different projects. With all the different projects you need someone to edit all the videos and keep everything straight. Some Film students would jump at the chance to move to OK. and follow around someone from a hit TV show. Something to think about. Let’s face it, Phantom is to busy to keep up with the RU-vid stuff. Remember that TV shows don’t last forever. But RU-vid may be a big part of your income someday. I watch every video, but it seem RU-vid has taken a backseat in the last 6 months. 🇺🇸🦅🏁

Full walk around of all the 8ish projects on deck and it took till the 9th before Shawn said, "When we get back, someone should this write this shit down". Weeks from completion is the perfect time to set a scedule lol. Im mostly jealous at the level of itllallworkoutidness and welluknowsumtimesitdontlanditness that persperates inside the walls at 187 Customs. True professionals!

Love seeing all the chevelles on the channel. 70 chevelle is my dream car and I found one and have been working on it for the past few months. Ls3/4l80e swap. Wish i had a shop half as nice as yours to work on it but jack stands and 2x4 wheel cribs work.

Thanks for the videos. With my life as it is I can't do the stuff I used to do but I can enjoy you guys in your shop. We were poor enough that just after we moved our garage was condemned and had to be pulled down. Those walls bowed out. If it wasn't for the five 2 x 10s (12s?) and the 1/2 inch steel on both sides with big lag bolts holding it together it would have collapsed on us one of the times when we pulled the engine out with the chain fall off those 2 x10s. .

Stock axle gears on a k5 and most GM 1/2 ton trucks for that matter are usually either 3.73 or 4.10.

There's only one thing I would do to that shop if it was mine and I would do this as soon as I could I would paint that ugly yellow spray foam white you wouldn't believe the difference it makes in a shop it'll even make it more brighter and it'll take away that dingy absolutely ugly yellow other than that that shop is absolutely awesome paint that white please it wouldn't even be that expensive! I'm telling you it would change them morale tremendously not that you need that just saying every time I watch that videos that yellow just freaking kills me it's dingy looking

Phantom, while I was watching this video,, I was noticing the transporter sitting in the garage also and did not realize how much front weight the trailer itself puts on the back of that toter truck and I wonder if it makes driving that Peterbilt any different on wet roads
