deltafit I don’t like the sound of them and you better hope you never have to do any fretwork on SS, your screwed. Good quality nickel (see PRS) frets won’t wear for many years

@Dylan Gruenloh I got that from owning several guitars with steel frets. And, yes they absolutely do have a tonal difference . I got that from owning and playing hundreds of guitars. ANY fret material will affect tone. . Frets, bridge material, and nut composition affect tone FAR more than any wood will ever affect an electric guitar. SS frets are ok, but they def. some high end frequencies. The drawback to any perceived advantage of SS frets is further out weighed by the fact if you ever have to work on SS frets , you are screwed. If its ever just something as simple as a little fret sprout, screwed. You cant work on those frets with traditional files and tools because they are .....stainless steel. If someone prefers them, fine whatever. But get while the getting is good because its a fad thats already dying due largely to things I mentioned above. I like my SS fret guitar. I have 3k kiesel with them, but they do add a kinda strange top end to them. PRS guitars have the best fret material on the market. No top end added, no crazy hundreds of dollars spent on specialized tools needed if you have to ever work on them (you probably will never have to work on the frets of a PRS) and they last forever. I hear Musicman is the same, but I cant comment as I dont own a musicman. I dont make out landish statements on gear that I dont personally own and play (crazy and concept I know) and I am not interested in geartubers trying to sale me on something on their sponsored channels. I like music and I like to rock out with my cawk out.

Yeah......I have a San Dimas Model but I prefer the Dk models

charvels feel better than fenders. ibanez are funky.

@@Cole-ek7fh the new charvels have a fender neck profile, ibanez guitars have an old school charvel feel to them.

I just sold my fender strat for a charvel dk 24. I love the charvel neck more by far.

These are modern strata and teles. Many players like the fender shapes but want modern features and confort, which is where charvel comes in to deliver on that. Charvel is also owned by fender so naturally they will mimick some designs.

I got my charvel dk24 and it has a better neck, plays fast, 24 frets, blues to metal, versatile. Sold my fender strat for it. Wish i did it sooner. I also added a killswitch. Competes with any 6 string guitar out there in my opinion. I guess ss frets missing but will still last me years before a refret.

@@danielvelkovski3156 thank you I've always wanted to know how versatile it is. I play in a praise and worship band and its nice to know it can do screaming distortion and chimey cleans in one guitar.

natanael damian you’ll deff love it. I got the snow white. Exact model - Charvel Pro-Mod DK24 HH FR M Electric Guitar Snow White. I added a gold killswitch by irongear. In the shop now getting green luminlay side dots. I also added locking tuners (already has locking nut) cause I hate winding strings lol. I got it for $670ish on reverb mint condition. If you like digital I highly suggest an interface by Neural DSP such as Plini (amazing clean sound). For metal try the free trials. NTS sounded sick. Good luck man.

RUHDD4HVN seriously. I wanted the satchel guitar but instead for cheaper i got the Charvel dk 24 for wayyy cheaper, more frets, same guitar basically minus the pickups. I added a killswitch and it’s a beast. If only it was 7 strings. You’re literally paying $400+ more for the artist name + graphic. My future guitar will be a 7 string strandberg they seem to be killing it/kiesel too. You’re right it’s Innovation vs relying on brand name.

mr shred Yeah, they pretty much fixed everything wrong with those. Sadly I didn’t like the new finishes though. Pretty much the opposite of the colors I wanted. But these were almost exactly what I wanted - a strat with great upper fret access, good regular trem, roasted neck, super flat jumbo frets, luminlays, bridge pickup with great clean tones and decent finishes. If it had steel frets it would have been exactly what I’ve been looking for, for years now...it would 100% be my next guitar.

No way. I just sold a fender strat and sold it for the charvel dk 24. No regrets. Better neck, more frets, plays blues to metal flawlessly. Fender you’re just paying for the name.
