Of course they are going to get 35%. The question is only, will they get it in the UK or do they have to move to Canada or Australia to get payed what their skills are worth?

They could have 35% if we funded our healthcare the same way as Canada and Australia, but we are so brainwashed about the NHS being the best and only way, we accept the appalling system and the incompetence and ineptitude and never ending money pit that is the NHS.

What your listeners need to understand is that in conjunction with the depletion of junior doctors’ pay and status their financial predicament at graduation is only the beginning. To maintain the status quo they have to pay out for continuing professional development training every year to accomplish their eligibility to remain on the medical register. If we want our doctors to increase their skills and to train in all the various specialisms that to contribute to a world class standard of medical care then they have to commit time, away from home and family, to prolonged and complex training that also carries significant financial costs. The alternative to underinvestment in this vital professional group is a deskilled and demoralised workforce and we will all suffer as a result. It is now so obvious that this government isn’t competent to run a village bazaar that we can’t expect anything like an adequate resolution while they remain in power.

I put up a reasonable posting but you delete it immediately . What's the point in pretending to have freedom of speech for all when you don't practise it because you don't happen to agree with it ? We talk about China and Russia but we aren't any better and possibly worse in certain way's on speech . Ridiculous .

Doctors/juniors/nurses etc should be getting politicians wages, and the politicians should be getting less than medical staff now. The wages the government ministers get is obscene - and what do they do? They make this country great - obviously 🤣

That would be a pay cut for lots of doctors then.

I meant the ones you earn less than the government top dogs. Personally I don't know top doctors wages, all I know is the government bigwigs have a ridiculous wage. Doctors etc should have a higher wage than them.

Just wait until you need one. Attitude adjustment. Pay these people what they are worth.

Tremendously valued? On £13.00 per hour. You can’t make this up.

Doctors are paid a lot more than £13.00 per hour.
