OPR actually has me excited to paint my pile of shame to soup together all sorts of 40K inspired armies. That's something 40K itself hasn't done for me in ages. Like the old days of Rogue trader through 3rd edition where armies were largely what you owned, not what GW demands you own in order to play.

I could see pre-made minis, campaign, and world books going physical. But I doubt OPR will release hard copies of the Advanced rule books if they're doing annual updates.

There is a danger with making the box sets in the sense of going to fast to quickly. You really have to be careful with over production of that kind of thing as it requires accurate forecasting of how many people will be interested. You have to remember that not everybody who is aware of it will be interested especially given competition.

Luckily, the box sets from OPR are printed one at a time by a 3d printing company. That way they don't have extra stock just sitting around. Hopefully, they won't produce too many of these box sets ahead of time. Growth is good, but not essential despite what the industry at large tells us.

I want that starter box. It looks a little small, so I wonder what's inside and how much it costs, but hopefully it will be available after the con. Same with the physical books. As for the world book. I wouldn't mind a first impressions/overview if that would be quick to do.

I would disagree with you review of Doulmagus's miniature. The blue and yellow armor do clash enough to draw your eyes away from what should be the center point of the wings. All I can see if horns and arm armor.
