What's The Point Of Crafting In ESO? 

Cooper i would recommend maybe showing a visual of what your talking about like show the passives in game and different traits and where to find said things. I am some what of a vet player so idk need this info, but if your target is people that dont know visual/walk-through is way more helpful imo. You explained it pretty well!

i like watching your stuff even though ive played the game for ten years and understand i am really glad you explaim this stuff for new players. We need new players to keep coming into this game but when i was new i remember being soooo confused on everything and it was overwhelming. You are great at explaining things keep up the good work:)

Orders wrath is worth the grind.

I love crafting in this game. If they ever do a highly difficult "veteran overland" like we've asked for, crafting could be even more important to the gameplay. My only complaint with crafting is the disgusting research times that only exist for the grind.

Starting your crafting journey early is important if you want to actually craft gear that doesn't drop from mobs, recreate collected sets and change/transmute gear traits. Collecting all the traits is locked behind a cooldown. So because it is timegated you need to get started with deconstructing gear as soon as possible. You know, so that you have those traits available whenever you want to transmute or recreate items. All of this is also very important if you want to create multiple characters and skip some of the grind for duplicate items. Imagine going through the Maelstrom Arena and collecting all the drops on your main Sorcerer. In the future you might create an Arcanist or Warden. Instead of going through the same arena again you can just recreate the various staves for those class builds-- and with the traits you want. I think crafting is fun and there are a lot of good sets out there besides regular dungeon and even raid sets. Especially if you are not looking to min-max but just to have fun and a solid solo PVE build. Personally I am loving the craftable Telvanni set that effectively reduces your companions' ability cooldowns by up to 80% when combined with Quickened gear. Your companions will spam their abilities which is extremely good for casual and harder solo PVE content.

I’ve learned all traits on all 20 of my toons. Daily and instant research scrolls are a real boon. They effectively cut the research period in half.

It’s worth it to make anything you want at any time. Super easy to outfit alt characters with gear, try out fun sets, etc

I have Hero of Tamriel, Savior of Necrom and most other DLCs , Ebon wolf, and VHM clears of all dungeons and trials. But I will never craft a single thing haha. I just do not like to do it.

If interested in the writ voucher shop items its a mean of getting those items without using guild traders. Additionally, completing master writs is a pretty high amount of XP. I make it a habit to save up my master writs for double xp events then cash them in all at once and get insanely bloated amounts of XP, sometimes so much that the game fails to handle it and boots me from the server. I think the most XP I got overall in totality at a double XP event with a 150% xp scroll was 22m total XP. (if my math was right that's enough to get 7-8 toons from 1 to 50) I'm aiming for higher at the next one, currently have 420+ master writs stored up and still getting more.

Crafting your own potions, poisons and food is great for saving or making gold. Plus you don't even need to wait for research timers, just make stuff and level up your skill lines to make better stuff including psijic ambrosia which is considered a drink, not a potion when crafting

I wish we have a quest board for players who needs crafted gears. Just post your request/price and hopefully someone takes it. I finally hit grandmaster crafter last year and boy do I feel useless🥲🥲🥲

For the average player, leveling up all your crafting skills, and researching traits, is definitely worth, because for the most part, it's free, and it happens passively as long as you remember to do it. And you will benefit from having those skills down the line when you need to upgrade non-craftable, account bound gear. Also, if you have some extra time on your hands, I suggest you do your daily writs too. That's just free gold. But I think that's where most people should stop... Farming motifs and master writs for vouchers, and then filling your house with crafting stations, is just not worth it for the average player. At least in my opinion. Join a crafting guild and use theirs.

What's the point of crafting? My friend, let me introduce you to Order's Wrath.... Also, crafting is why I have like 60% of my housing pieces (the number would be higher but I've used housing as storage for my Antiquities)

What's The Point Of Crafting In ESO? Are you serious? You cannot be A HOUSER IF U DON'T CRAFT! Everybody know HOUSING is the real TESO ENDGAME.

Crafting is not generally why people game. It is a tool to make housing, gear, and to make money in addition to other sources. In ESO the nirnhoned trait is a huge roadblock as farming is very difficult and less rewarding. Research is extremely slow and takes away from it's appeal.

me CP 1000 i gotta say Crafting is useless af besides that Uprade cost reduction and research system. and tbh those 2 things dont have a need to exist in the first place as Passive systems from crafting just make it base for gold to cost 8 Materials and so on. and make it so you dont have to research sh*t in order to reconstruct it with nirn or whatever and yes i have everything researched Nirn. Infused jewerly etc etc so its not like im missing something and saying it shouldnt exist bcs of it. i say it shouldnt exist bcs its Pointless and literally doesnt do anything you dont even need to lv Crafting to reaearch sure you can research up to 3 at max Passive but once you done its its done ever do it again so yeee kinda L system right there. should be like Witcher 3 with " Grandmaster sets" you have set X and can upgrade it into grandmaster version with better stats and actually better Set bonus.

Does anyone know on console if it's profitable to make popular crafted gear in the right traits (example divine body with a popular pve set)?
