This episode got pretty freaking dark. Rogue dropping Trask, Bastion straight up smothering Gyrich... what's the rating on this show again ? Also Rogue throwing Cap's shield was just hilarious, 😂
That’s not true at all, he was ahead of Rogue’s investigation. He however has rules to follow. Meanwhile Rogue just made things worse. Cap is wise, Rogue isn’t.

@@baseball90242Aside from the fact he did, keep in mind he would only look like her though, not gain Jean's psychic powers. The people whose powers he emulates when he changes are purely physical achievements like winged flight, strength, speed, toughness, bounciness and fighting style emulation.
I don’t think y’all’s definition of omega level is correct… An omega level mutant is A mutant whose dominant power is deemed to register - or reach - an undefinable upper limit of that power's specific classification. So there can me multiple omega level mutants with the same power. It’s no a “no one else can do what I can” type of thing. More of a lots of people can do this but not many can do it to the extent that I can. IE Jean, Hope, legion and Cable are all Telepath / telekinetics and they are all omega level mutants.
Mr. Sinister stated that Bastion has a "prize" for him. I'm guessing that Bastion identified the child Hope Summers and he has kidnapped her. Perhaps this is why Cable returned to the present time, to protect her.
Maybe Sinister's "prize" is Cable? It's his creation after all that was stolen from him and now Bastion is being chased by Cable so it makes sense... its like "dude I got your perfect creation on my tail"

Sure they're mix and matching later stories with newer ones here and there, but there's literally no context for Hope at this time. People may need to pump the brakes a little on calling down every hero and villain known to the X-franchise in the first couple seasons. Let's save some stuff for seasons 4 through 10 please, because I want this thing to last and stay good, not cameo everything under the sun.
@@J.O.R.DThis is a good point, but still Hope is too unnecessary at this point. It would be actually more fitting if the time traveling Bastion brought Stryfe to Sinister than bringing Hope. After all, if his game was to make Nathan his perfect lifeform, and Stryfe is always touted as the version of Cable that wasn't ruined by the TO virus, "giving" him to Sinister would be the fulfillment of his original goal (with whatever tweak they need to tie back in the point of dousing him in the techno organic soup vat).
This episode, was CRAZY!!!! Rogue, going ROGUE!!! No PUN INTENDED…. It had its Heartfelt Moments. Rogue and Nightcrawler…Brother and Sister. And her interactions with Captain America was Epic. And, when they showed the results of the Attack from last Episode was Intense. Because, you didn’t know who Survived or Not. When, they Buried….Gambit!!! That, (Bright Eyes)reference was referring to Gambit. With his Glowing Eyes. I’m jumping around Everywhere. It, was so Much to take in this Episode. They, three out a reference to (Nimrod)Trask, became the new version of the Sentinels. And, they showed Bastion….too. He, straight up killed Gyrich. “You’re no longer of any Use!!!) They, went Extra Dark this Episode. And, those Interactions between Scott, Jean and Cable… And, Jean and Scott recognized Cable…was Priceless. Then Cable, basically said “We, got Business to take care of…First, Dad!!!” Then, they cut to Sinister and Bastion…Bastion, was probably referring to the other person involved was Apocalypse. Because, of the many Versions of Sentinels that were in those glass cases. And, they showed Professor X when he was on Shi’ar home world. And, left Us with la Cliffhanger….Magneto is Alive and Bastion has some type of Special plans for him. I, think they’re going to Manipulate Magneto… someway, somehow Professor X is going to Return and he’s going to have to confront Magneto. I’m just spitballing…Here. I, think in the Last episode that Apocalypse, is going to show up. And we’re finally going to see an Appearance of Mystique, too. They, laid out too many References to Her…especially with Rogue and Nightcrawler. These past few episodes. It’s going to be a Major Battle….the last few episodes. It’s probably going to be a Two-parter. A lot of Unexpected twists in this Episode. It keeps getting Better and BETTER!!!

When Captain America said "my team" he was refering to Avengers. Coz in the Dark Phoenix saga in the OG X-men TAS 92, they did show a glimpse of Nick Fury, Thor feeling the Phoenix leaving the Earth. Also in the same episode they showed Spider-man saving people (just his hand shooting webs but still ). And since Ross said that the bunker was built to protect them from Hulk its apparent that Hulk is in this universe and for a long time. Coy also said in his reaction to the episode 7 that he saw a Stark Tower in Madrapore in this 7th episode. All in all I think its the OG Avengers aka Cap, Iron man, Thor, Black widow, Hulk maybe Hawkeye.
Really don't like that Jean Grey still gets exhausted or faints when she uses hers powers ... You'd think she'd get some power upgrade after the Phoenix Force

A solid episode. Not the best, but not the worst. In fact I'd say it is pretty average for the show. I'd say each episode is ranked as follows: E1: 4/5 E2: 4/5 E3: 3.5/5 E4: 1.5/5 E5: 4.5/5 E6: 3.5/5 E7: 3.5/5 Rogue was bad ass and loved that. Cyclops being the first to rise after the team get blown up is an annoying thing they did in the original as well. Why was he up first? This show seems to be doing nothing with Wolverine... even letting him have a healing factor. :( I look forward to the final three. I wonder how they will play out.. I sort of wish they would just drop all three at once.
41:05 remember this isn’t an exact match to the normal time line because in the MCU Iron Man doesn’t debut until 2008, so in the animated series, at that point in the Xmen timeline the avengers characters did exist so maybe they’ve assembled a small team since then
I think they’re misunderstanding what an “Omega level” mutant is. It’s not necessarily the strongest of their ability. It’s that they don’t really have a definite endless limit to their ability and untapped potential.

Captain America is with his Avengers team, around '97, we had the usual avengers team, the first ones like Captain America, Wasp from the top of my head and we definitely had Ant-Man as well, again from the top of my head and I believe Captain Marvel was yet to join them or was joined, and of course I am not 100% certain but I think Iron Man was there but he was still young early 20s or something among those lines before getting all that massive ego. 47:30, its not the same and Cable makes that very clear in the series. "You are not her, get out of my head." 48:50 Marvel News says she will be in her new costume and with new intro card.
That female at the funeral is his former love interest in the flash back episode of the original series that tells Gambit’s life in the thieves guild . She does look a lot like Rogue so Gambit clearly has a type

Even though Cap becomes Nomad later, in this moment he’s acting for the US government and she was right to call him out for his cop behaviour. I get that he can’t just show up in uniform, but it’s also true that If he really wanted to, he could’ve gone on a covert mission with her w/o the uniform 🤷🏾♂️
there was a lot in this episode that I loved, but I think one of my favorite special moments was the whole story of jubilee and Roberto coming out to his mom as a Mutant. That story resonated and it feels like it’s just beginning and will have a WONDERFUL ending

I agree with Jessica's point about, if they say something constantly, they should show it eventually, but Jay said what I'd been thinking whenever people mention the Phoenix, Rachel, Cassandra, Apocalypse, Onslaught, etc. we don't need to have the Phoenix (and every character showing up right now). We had an Adversary, Goblin Queen and Mojo side quest; the seeds of Deathbird problems; Master Mold, Gyrich, Sinister, etc. we can leave a few things for season 2, 3 and hopefully beyond (AND some things will just be mentioned right now because this functions as a continuation of something that had 5 seasons worth of goodies to call back to).
2 things to consider for Omega Level mutants: 1. The ability to destroy worlds!! U guys never mention this but Jonathan Hicks had this as a criteria. This the reason Jean isn’t listed as one and same for Charles (w/out Cerebro). Iceman, Storm, Magneto, Hope Summers, Legion, Proteus, Kid Omega and the others all can destroy worlds with their powers!! 2. Being the best in ur mutant classification. In this instance Jean and Charles would qualify as there at the best in their mutant class of powers
found a small mistake. Jean felt a telepathic call, but Emma's telepathic powers don't work in her diamond form. she's also almost resistance to telepathy in that form (Jean was the only one who managed to bypass that resistance)
I think at some point at the end of season 1 the xmen team we know will be fractured with some of them in magneto's brotherhood and xavier leading the xmen. At this point, Rogue is definitely joining and I can see cyclops jumping ship. Also, if you think humans reaction to xavier being alive is to mistrust mutants more, double that when magneto shows back up. That could be why bastion is shaving him, as in getting him camera ready being magneto has been the face of mutants in the media.

Speaking about Phoenix, did anyone notice that the Phoenix kind of got their own title care this episode in the opening? It’s a quick one, but it mimics the other title cards.
In the OG series Apacalypse made the virus. And Wolverine made the antivirus. I'm curious to see if Sinister uses Cable to give Mutants a fighting chance. And Cable is trying to correct his timeline from Bastian back to Apacalypse. Remember the reason why En Sabah Nur had Sinister create Stryfe.
Omega level is a category given when there is no known upper limit to a mutants power! Most Mutants and Supes in general have a hard limit to what they can do. When your power is potentially limitless then you are considered Omega level, but like Goku in DB you have to train and endure to really reach into thise upper epsilons of power! In the comics there are only about 15-20 Omega level Mutants. In this show, the only 4 shown have been Charles, Magneto, Jean Gray and Storm. Morph may be considered one, but has not been officially named as one. Iceman is also Omega level.
The best power absorber in the Comics is Synch. He only has to be in your vicinity, and he is also a known Omega level Mutants. His Secondary mutation is to recall and use any power from anyone he's ever synced up with at any time! He can even sync with non Mutants like Spiderman and Hulk.
Brainwaves broadcast like TV and Radio. Powerful psychics often are caught unaware by strong emotions when people are stressed. People's thoughts are like loud screams to them. What Xavier felt was the psychic collective of stress, fear, and hurt of all of those who died on Genosha at once being broadcast throughout the cosmos. That is why Gambit was the big one. Xavier has a personal connection to him.
I think that The Phoenix found Madelyn and is going to be back for the finale. It would explain why they keep teasing The Phoenix in the intros and how Xavier received psychic images of Genosha and Gambit’s death

Jean is an Omega level telepath not telekinetic. Chuck is an Alpha level telepath, it's not about his power level but he's so powerful because of his SKILLS with his powers.
I'm wondering if Bastion had something to do with Magneto getting Charles' Will & Testiment. Obviously, Charles might have put that into place if he is ever pronounced dead, but was Bastion still involved in some way.
