As such ayurvedic medicines are not harmful. But these days, how they are prepared, how the hygiene is taken care of, how they are prepared in certified organisations, in home or in garage etc. Ayurvedic medicines don’t require any approval or good manufacturing practices certificate so one who is taking the medicines has to see who is the manufacturer, whether these medicines are prepared following the norms of the medicine. As such many of the hospitals who treat kidney diseases ask their questionnaire whether you are following ayurvedic medicines like bhasmas and other things and for how long. This is because they want to know whether there are any heavy metals which have gone through in your system. So again for ashwagandha the practitioner will decide your health concern, your height, weight and your age and gender etc how much dosage is required and how long to continue. Mostly also helps in many ailments including arthritis, male endurance, male performance, male strength etc. White musli is very good however ayurvedic practitioner only would decide how much one has to take depending again on the age, height and weight, gender, health concern and all the other factors. How long that should be taken would be decided by him or her only. So any medication whether it is ayurvedic or homeopathic or allopathic should not be taken without any prescription. It should be taken with proper guidance of some experts only. So please do not take any of these therapies by hearing from somebody. May be for their condition it is good, but for your condition it is not good. So don’t take any risks. Stay healthy.
