Seth Rollins is the only likable babyface left unless you turn braun face. And don't think about Smackdown stars, they won't become face of WWE (WWE ideology)
@austin 316 I can see your scenario happening. Vince would, for example, bring back Batista to put him in a short storyline with Triple H. This proves how talented both the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression Era wrestlers were.
@@heelstevenmaggle5615 let's list all the superstars that can take over: seth rollins Dean ambrose Braun strowman Drew mcintyre apollo crews since he's looking to get a push Elias AJ styles Samoa Joe Bray wyatt Here's some nxt stars: EC3 Adam Cole baby Rodrick strong Johnny wrestling Tomasso ciampa Lars sullavin Alistair Black Ricochet Velveteen Dream A possible returning cody Rhodes And lots more than just prick lesnar
@@KieranModley that 'title' literally means absolutely nothing. The Greatest Royal Rumble was nothing more than WWE getting a major payday from Saudi Arabia to go over there and kiss their ass for a night. Has Braun's win in that Royal Rumble been mentioned sense? MAYBE once? I legitimately hope you were joking when you said this because i feel like even the most casual wrestling fan would know this
Hoping for the rise of Finn Balor or Adam cole and the undisputed era, Ricochet, velveteen....to transform the company to the likes of the attitude era like talent
That's completely my bad I think Pete Dunne is gonna be one of Best Heels in WWE within next 3 years ...he just pulls off the cocky persona of wanting to be the best
Even Gargono if they play this heel run correctly and Ciampa he could be the best in the world but he will never get the correct booking on main roster
Roman character is for kids from 4 to 14yrs that's how they built him. For house shows and live event. Drew is heel Ambrose same. I think Brock will hold the till Roman is back 1 yr or 1 1/2
@@fredoke4515 they already did that and fucked it up by not having RR claim it at Wrestlemania resulting in more shitshows bw the two. Waiting until Reigns gets better to claim the belt is just retelling the exact same story. If they want to pull a part timer BS again they may as well use someone like Batista.
@@ronniejdio9411 your kidding right? cause of that kick on lars? that was lars fault outside of that his kicks are amazing the best in wwe hes a kickboxing pro for like 15 years
Make Strowman the champion of Raw, make Balor overcome the odds to become the RR winner, Make Ambrose the heel champion before Wrestlemania, Then Rollins somehow insert himself in the Title match, Triple threat Ambrose-Rollins-Balor at wrestlemania
Here's how I'd do it : 1) Braun wins against Lesnar clean at Crown Jewel 2) Defends till Mania 3) Loses to Drew 4) Then you start to build the division around him
I know it's a pipe dream that'll never happen because women aren't taken seriously, but Becky Lynch could absolutely become THE GUY... or gal in this case... of the company. No one else has the same fan support at the moment like she does. WWE has a chance here to ACTUALLY break the women's glass ceiling. While it's too late to save Evolution, really getting behind Becky and then elevating the rest of the women's division with her would not only be that fresh start, it'd be a really refreshing fresh start. Pushing somone else like Braun or Seth or Finn or whoever would feel odd, given their recent bookings. An NXT callup would feel like, "Well, you had to do that because you couldn't build anyone on the main roster." So, it'd feel spoiled. A push behind Becky wouldn't feel out of place. She's gotten a ton of organic support from the fans. And with the unfortunate Roman news, it couldn't have been more timely.
She will lose the title at Evolution. You really think WWE care about Becky or any indie stars over their own talents ? Then you must be dreaming. Look at Asuka and Sasha. Becky will be bury at Evolution and lose her rematch. Vince will be building Ronda vs Charlotte foe wredtlemania35
Give Braun a push, and then feud with Drew. Drew will be champion in the end. Finn should have IC title, Seth should feud with Dean. After that go for Drew and have a match with him.
Wait so you complain about 1 guy being pushed as the star and thn you look for another one? Isn't this the perfect time to NOT push a new star and let everyone shine?
I see this as an opportunity to finally give fans what they want. Make Braun champion. Roman WILL get a huge pop in his return but people aren't gonna be cheering because they wanna see him but out of respect.
@@fredoke4515 Whether you like Roman or not he's out of the company for 1-2 years to take care of himself and the company WILL have to find a temporary replacement. The "smarks" are just speculating who the replacement might be nothing wrong with having a discussion.
Personally, I'd love to see the rise of Finn Balor. Seth and Braun could be the biggest babyfaces on Raw and Dean/Drew could be top heels. But I'd love to see Balor become a star.
He isn't even on nxt yet and has little to no exposure to casual and as a result hasn't proved to wwe that he isn't a valid draw to wwe yet. I love adam cole, but at this point that wouldn't make any sense.
Top guys wwe needs to push are Finn Balor Drew McIntyre Seth Rollins Bobby Roode Dean Ambrose All these guys are on Raw and they all have been over look
Don't build the company around one man but build it around a group of people (Seth Rollins,Braun Strowman,Drew Mcintyre,Bobby Lashley,Finn Balor,Bobby Roode and Dean Ambrose)
1. Seth Rollins 2. Finn Balor 3. Adam Cole 4. Braun Strowman 5. Drew McIntyre HM Daniel Bryan, Samoa Joe, Dean Ambrose, AJ Styles, John Cena, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa just to name some and yes I know in the hm some of them are older but they can still carry pretty good.
Haven't finished the video yet but I think that the people who can take advantage of Roman Reign's absence are: Dean Ambrose as the heel, Finn Balor as the face and Drew McIntyre. No Balor isn't completely botched yet keep him away from Bayley and Mahal and have him be the face against Ambrose's heel and have McIntyre as the silent badass who doesn't give a damn.
Finn and Alexa are probably the only reason i'm still watching WWE. I just want to see Finn as a champion. Sad for Roman, i hope he gets better asap but his storylines were just sidelining everyone. Seth was not on top because of Roman but he still got intercontinental and tag championships so i don't want him on top.
You know what really makes me happy? When I click on a video I see a lot of yellow bits on the streaming bar, so glad you guys are getting bigger and making money doing what you love. Love you guys.
I agree that they should go back to having several top guys. Personally I'd like to see Finn, Seth, Dean, Drew, Kevin, maybe Braun, Aleister, Adam, Tomasa. Having multiple top guys not only makes it possible to have several good storylines at once, it also makes the Universal and IC belts relevant again as there would be a few people going for each one at any given time. Just my opinion of course. What do you think? SWAFT NATION!!!!!
The tank engine was brilliant as well, you should definitely do a best unsigned gimmicks poll at the end of the year or something for the chance to be signed
Make Seth Rollins the top Baby Face on Raw. For titles, give Braun his well delayed and much deserved Universal Title. For Intercontinental Championship, Give it to Finn Balor. For the Tag Team Championships, Give them to AOP?
I've been watching wrestling since 2006 I'm 27 now... So I do have good memories of the ruthless aggression era. I'll be the first to say I've rarely seen much of the attitude era stuff besides things that wwe has shown themselves.
They have so many talented ppl on the roster. It's just unfortunate that soo many are injured right now. They need to push Elias, Drew, Seth, Dean, Finn, Kevin Owens when he comes back. C'mon mix it up please!!!
I think Roman's time off wrestling would give great opportunities for other talents to main event Ppv's .Seth should drop ic title to Finn lashley or roode or Elias and Dean Seth Drew and Braun should be in contention for universal title or Balor too
Obviously it’s tragic what happened to Roman and I hope he gets better but him being away means other stars can rise up and the show won’t be centred around one guy anymore. This could be a great way for WWE to revive the show and for others to have a chance to be in the spotlight.
I still remember when Aleister Black debuted. I had never seen him before. The video packages hyping him were cool, his entrance was cool, and I just remember him kicking the crap out of whoever his opponent was and then landing that Black Mass. That move is amazing and it looks like it's the wrestling equivalent of shooting someone. He can hit out of nowhere, it sounds like a gunshot, and it lays dudes out. I was reminded of that again on NXT the other day when he laid out Lars Sullivan out of nowhere. That kick is like the Stone Cold Stunner. They could bring Aleister Black up by doing video packages to hype him up and then to debut him life, just have him come out in the middle of whatever, kick Braun Strowman in the head and end the show with that image. And then just protect the hell out of the Black Mass and have Black take out anybody for any reason just like Steve Austin did with the Stunner. And boom, there's your top guy. Then all you gotta do is worry about kids kicking each other in the head on the playground. Kids would absolutely eat that character up because they love things that are cool.
Seth Rollins is the best wrestler in whole wwe (next to Styles and Bryan), he's over,he's very popular,he's good enough at mic,he has charisma,he has the look,he's tall enough,he's the workhorse of wwe,he always delivers the best matches,he has the most unique moveset ... he's THE man !
Even when you had Cena, it never felt that centered around him. You had Micheals, Orton, Edge, Batista, Undertaker, HHH. Sure not all at once but the main event scene felt busy. With Roman his story line literally had the Raw championship scene on hold.
Did everyone forget the fact that they just turned Elias face? Put him in a title picture, where Corbin is working against him. He would get over in a blink of an eye
Black was my shout but I think even better would be hold of until the New year, then u debut a cross branded faction of Being the Elite, put the Title on Rhodes day one, put both the two tags on The Golden Lovers and The Young bucks and you build Rhodes as this HHH like figure who leads great factions, build them as a faction that just does what it wants, people jump from brand to brand as they see fit, and Bring up the Undisputed Era to be their main foe
The ironic part (not making light of the situation at all, just an observation) is that the suggestion a lot of Pro Wrestling Journalists made just a few months ago as "the only way to really get the fans behind Reigns" was to have him go away for a long while and come back to conquer the company again.
Maybe you can't really find someone just bc they have all been placed on the back burner by Vince and not bc they can't be a superstar. I think a few of them can be superstars
What I would do now with the Universal Championship is that is that Braun vs Lesnar should be a no-contest. It's just Crown Jewel, who cares if no one leaves it as the new champion. Then have a tournament to determine who faces each other at Survivor Series for the vacant Universal Championship, which ends up being Braun Strowman vs. Drew McIntyre. McIntyre beats Strowman (perhaps with some shenanigans) and becomes the new Universal Champion. This would be huge for Drew as he would be one of those few special ones who actually has defeated Braun via pinfall. Then Braun can win the Rumble and have the rematch take place at Wrestlemania where Braun finally wins the big one.
Undisputed Era should move up and run both shows. Add Keith Lee to the mix and the could hold both top titles, tag titles and the IC/US title. You coulda plot them 3/2 Raw and Smackdown but any of the 5 could interfere on any show. This anti-hero faction would allow WWE to actually develop believable baby faces and heels. Let them run things until Riddle is ready to take over and you have the WWE refresh we all want.
Aleister Black needs to be called up and built around. After watching him storm the ring where he was dishing out black mass kicks through the backstage area to anyone that got in his way. That is the type of character that needs to be brought to the forefront of the roster.
Other than Steve Austin, Vince has always chosen homegrown talent to be the Top Guy in his company. I see him going with Braun Strowman for now, with Seth being the number 2 face at the moment for Raw. I don’t think Vince believes he can build the company around Braun long term because he doesn’t have the clean, movie star, pretty boy looks that Vince prefers to have the face of his company. I can also see a massive push on the way for Elias.
WWE at the moment have a LOT of options. If they really need to have a “face” of the company, you have some people who don’t need building at all, but you also have some gems that can be built up to that level with some good booking. - Seth Rollins: Has everything. Best in ring performer. Most over babyface. Great look. Great theme. Can be the face of the company for the foreseeable future without needing to be built up. And have Ambrose as his Joker. My first choice. - Drew McIntyre: Everything Vince wants in a wrestler. Except this time, he’s actually great. Slight reservations about him as a Face, but it can be done. Huge fan of McIntyre. - Daniel Bryan: I’ll admit, I’m not a massive Bryan fan. But Daniel Bryan should’ve been the face years ago, and if you put him on Raw, he can be the face once more. A failsafe option. - Chad Gable. I can hear you laughing, but listen. Fantastic promo. Fantastic in ring, with an explosive style that would be so suited at the top of the card. He could be this generations Kurt Angle. Easily. The only thing holding him back is his height, unfortunately. - Matt Riddle: Larger than life character, fantastic in ring, with a unique look. The biggest open goal WWE have booking wise. And that’s saying something. - Ronda Rousey: She just has the IT factor, she’s over like hell, and more importantly, has the most mainstream appeal while still being well loved by the hardcore fans. Rousey is money. Who it SHOULDN’T be - Braun Strowman: He only ever got over due to Romans incredible heat. Without that heat, he’s a boring, 2D cartoon. In a few weeks I guarantee you he won’t be getting even half the reactions he gets now. He COULD have been the face, but that heel turn chopped him down. - AJ Styles: Too old. Unfortunately. - Finn Balor: Just doesn’t have that superstar quality. He’s very good in ring; but most people on that roster are nowadays. Needs a character revamp before being discussed. But he was the inaugural Universal Champion... - Dean Ambrose: Top heel, for sure. But as a face, he’s glacial in the ring. Without his extreme Indy moveset, he’s just not good enough imo. But definitely should be the top Heel on Raw. - Aleister Black: Similar to Ambrose, sort of. Forget Bray Wyatt, this guy is the new Undertaker. But Undertaker was never the “face” of WWE. Put this guy at the top, but in his own little box. - Johnny Gargano: A world class feud does not make a good character. I like him, but will he translate to a fresh, main roster audience? I don’t think so.
Universal Championship: Braun Strowman vs Brock Lesnar (Crown Jewel) Braun Strowman vs AJ Styles (Survivor Series) Braun Strowman vs Drew McIntyre (TLC) Braun Strowman vs Finn Balor (Royal Rumble) Braun Strowman vs Drew McIntyre vs Bobby Lashley vs Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins vs Finn Balor (Elimination Chamber) Braun Strowman vs Dean Ambrose (Fastlane) Braun Strowman vs Seth Rollins (Wrestlemania) InterContinental Championship: Seth Rollins vs Shinsuke Nakamura (Survivor Series) Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose (TLC) Dean Ambrose vs Elias (Royal Rumble) Elias vs Dolph Ziggler (Elimination Chamber) Elias vs Bobby Lashley (Fastlane) Elias vs Dean Ambrose vs Dolph Ziggler vs Bobby Lashley vs Bray Wyatt vs Bobby Roode in a Ladder Match (Wrestlemania)
although i agree that Braun has slowed down after his heel turn, i think he can bring his babyface role back to what it's used to be, now that Roman is out for 2 to 3 years, i think Braun can actually carry the torch(for now) because the way i see it he became face by being funny(like the cake bit and that Cello bit) and throwing people around and he can also improvise on the mic, i think he'll actually do fine, IMO.
They have never should had only built the show around Roman Reigns only. The should had built up characters just in case something like this happens. Elias and Braun Strownman have to hold up Raw. But they need to build it around Elias since he is getting more hype.
Hay Oli I grew up in the ruthless aggression era where I do have nostalgic feelings but I would have liked too bin in the attitude era! (Edit) I was into TNA so much when I first watched it in 2004!
I'm Sorry Oli, but I have to agree with Luke. Cena vs Orton was the absolute best thing there was back then. Especially when Orton started punt kicking everyone, including John Cena (the dad). It's just a shame that it ended with Cena (the son) getting injured and coming back to Raw a few months later to.... nothing. Didn't even go after Orton which was disappointing. And even Batista, Rey and Khali were fun to watch. Yes, I said it.
Braun was ready...they waited too long for that opportunity. Seth is extremely over. Finn should be as well. Elias has become massive. And all that is before we even get to the heels. They should go back to having multiple "Guys" like the Attitude era...makes for a more unpredictable (and better) product.
I think they should do with Roman with what they did with Triple H, showing his progress throughout the treatment and then have him return. It gave Triple H an enormous ovation from the crowd so it’ll be the same for Roman.
I will agree that WWE has consistently booked Roman and Cena as the top two, but I disagree that nobody was pushed enough to replace them. Hell, during Cena's run at the top we still had the likes of Orton and Batista getting mega pushes. As for Romans era, whether they were pushed to the same level as Roman or not, the likes of AJ & Seth are more over with the fans and have had great runs that will make it easy to elevate them now. And then you have Brock Lesnar, who for the longest time was pushed way harder than Roman (how many times did Roman job to him?). There are so many guys in WWE right now, that with a little support from management will actually get over quicker with the fans than the mega push for Roman did.
I personally think that WHEN roman comes back he will change I literally watched his speech he said “ when I come back it won’t be about titles and being on top it will be about a purpose “ So maybe when he returns he won’t be handed opportunity
Strowman and Rollins are the only choices unless they bring in Styles or Bryan from Smackdown while Ambrose and McIntyre are already set as the top heels
What WWE should do: Build the company around multiple people on both brands RAW: Braun, Elias, Seth, Finn, Drew and Dean SD: AJ, Daniel, Joe, Nakamura, Returning Bray Wyatt, Orton NXT: Looks at the main roster *Laughs* 😂
I would Push McIntyre to the top with an eventual WWE Title win over Braun, I Feel like he's flat out been a MONSTER since his return to the WWE and deserves a solo run with a Championship.
The answer is Black. He can be called up and can be the top guy with his mystic character. If protected properly through his booking he can be the coolest contender to be the top guy in WWE.
I'd love to see Undisputed Era and Aleister Black. I'd say Ricochet also but I think he'd end up in New Day territory. He would be there as an opener, something to get the crowd warmed up. Black worries me a tiny bit. His promos, in my opinion, boarder cringe. What I mean by that is his promos walk a fine line. Just like Bray his promos could easily go off the rails if the most subtle mistake is made. Love Wrestle Talk you guys are great. Sorry to Ollie. I pre-judged him before because of his news videos. I assumed he was a big, loud, exxagerated, and too over the top so I didn't watch The Ramble for a while. I'm happy to say I was wrong. Ollie is super intelligent and at times really cracks me up. Anyways keep knockin it out fellas.
I cannot agree with Aleister Black at all. The promo skills just aren't there he's decent but not great in his promos often getting outshined by others on the mic. The character work in ring, entrance and such are there. But if you want a face of the company or a true superstar they have to have some kind of promo skills. And if he can't talk well then you have to put him with someone, a manager of sorts and other then James Mitchel (Impact wrestling) I don't see anyone who really fits his style of gimmick. He needs something otherwise I'm not sure he's the SUPERSTAR you are looking for. If they wouldn't have botched him some when he came to NXT EC3 had it. He has the looks, the in ring style WWE loves on main roster, the mic skills and such. But they botched him big in NXT. Ricochet is great and has all the skills in ring and out to enthrall fans but alas he does not have the size Vince likes. Braun can recover and get back over sure not right away but short memories are short memories after all you give it a month and a half and the heel turn will be forgotten. Seth could be top guy easily depending on what they do with the Ambrose turn as he is such a strong heel now with that turn. You face those two together for a time and you could build Seth to top guy again easily. Lee is great and so is riddle but not sure they have had the time to get over with the NXT crowd to build a buzz about them. There is a slight buzz that can be built in NXT that does carry over to main roster. And they have not had the time to build that yet. Give them a few high profile feuds in NXT you could do it easily but right now I do not see it. I can go on and on.....but those are my opinions.....sorry if you don't like my opinion on this subject. (I expect no response from Wrestletalk on this though so just shrugs shoulders and walks away)
Heel champ for a while and see who the fans get behind. But in reality Strowman wins in Saudi and they now push him to the max. It will seem strange after he's been turned heel so recently. They are also hot on McIntyre. But at present, there is no major star rising. There hasn't been for years. Crowds are more fickle these days. They should add an element of realism to the main event and have even matches, building many wrestlers. That way, the crowd will choose who they want.
Just imagine if Roman returns and turns heel cutting a promo like “I never needed you, especially when I was kicking Leukemia's ass because I did it BY MYSELF!” That would be the biggest heel turn in history.
The Roman story wasn’t bad now u look back at it. The journey to become the man of the company before becoming ill and finally being champ and have the shield together. His come back would make for a great story
Dis should b a learning experience for vince and wwe creative team... You cant revolve ur whole company around 1 person, u have plenty of talent built top stars dont just put everybody down..give the title to braun n bring back wyatt make a 3 to 4 month battle between them two.. Or push McIntyre .. If u give brock the title put him in fued wit bobby for 1 month or 2 den give lashley the title n bring back wyatt n add seth rollins, kevin owens.... Use dis opportunity to build top stars n not focuz just on one... Just my opinion im just tited of wwe not giving the title any worth.... Championship belt use to mean something in wwe now it has nothing to do.. N it shouldnt b dat way... The title was wat made the company important cuz it had ppl foghting fpr something to b the champ tp b number one...... Is possible sll it need is the right ideas to push ur talent..
If no Roman Reign, they should hire The Elite with Young Bucks, Kenny, Marty, Cody, Hangman, but i guess that's gonna be impossible, or maybe Dean, Seth, Drew Mcintyre, Fin Balor, Bobby Leshley, yeah we almost forgot about Bray
There's so many guys that SHOULD share the top spot. However I agree with you they have wasted them & they not in the position to be the top guys. I really think we just going get Braun push as champion and he will just squash all the guys that have already been wasted by WWE.
