I had the black Baroness on preorder for months, then I saw a review, witnessed the sloppy paint, and cancelled. For premium prices, I expect a well painted figure.
The only Super7 figures i was buying was G.I. Joe. I don't like the big size or limited articulation, but they were nailing the Sunbow animation sculpts, smooth joints, and glued-on belts etc., so i shifted away from Classified. But now Hasbro has course-corrected and is getting characters out MUCH faster, so i canceled all my Super7 preorders.
@@tydiriumhanger1320 I only visit the Walmart here, in North Myrtle Beach (2) and up near Wilmington and none of them have had any MOTU in years. I guess I’m in a MOTU desert
I found my Point Dread at Ross for $15 and bought two Stridor's for $5 each there. There's still two Point Dreads left I think. I bought a 2 pack of He-Man and Skeletor Netflix show style for cheap at Ross, but I didn't really need it so I gave them to a friend's grandson and he plays with them so that's a win.
1:07 that's hilarious. I don't have, nor seek, a popular online presence; but if S7 started to do M.A.S.K., then I might meet portions of that definition too.
I got in the latest wave of Thundercats and they are fantastic. So I’m ready for a lot more It only took 39 years to get our first Lunatak and soon we’ll have a second :-)
I hate super 7 on one hand for being this ‘designer’ brand toy company that asks too much money for their products, and on the other hand I admire their paint apps on the reaction figures, and the broad range of interesting licenses that they have chosen. Sometimes I’m willing to pay the $20 for their reaction figures, and when the ultimates get slashed into the mid $20 price I buy. Always looking for reaction figures reduced to $10 or under. I funded the cats lair, too, so there ya go.
I just wish S7 stuff was priced at, maybe $40. $55-65 is just too much considering that they're cutting down on accessories and most of the alternate headscupts look very similart. Also, they need to simplify the packinging a bit. It takes me almost an hour to unbox a wave of 4-5 figures, ugh.
It’s because they have to pay for licensing rights. They don’t own the properties for these cool figures they’re making. The price is actually very fair when you factor that in.
Just started collecting S7 ultimates in Dec.. up to 90 now.. not all of them are worth the retail price.. but most of them I would say are worth it and more, especially being smaller runs, lots of extras, big figures, great sculpts, cool packaging (im an inbox collector 😮) im looking forward to their next releases.. very sad about simpsons and disney...and hope they get back to more tmnt playmates style.
The only thing im hating about super7 is their practice of charging $55 for smaller figures yet upcharging for the larger figures. Btw, as I'm typing this I noticed armored mon-star is about to fall over lol. Both of mine have weak ankles-still love the figure tho.
yeah I agree. I recently started buying Diamond select because they look better than marvel legends but they are only about 5 dollars more. Even Neca at their 40 dollar price tag is slightly more manageable.
Other companies don't drop the price for smaller figures. Ewoks aren't cheaper. Orko isn't cheaper. Conversely, many larger S7 figures weren't marked higher than a standard size figure, but consumers aren't complaining they should be paying more for them.
Agreed. Super7 is definitely the most cartoon accurate with some decent articulation but they come with only minimal accessories, no base or arm to pose and keep them stable yet they're charging as much as MAFEX action figures. Their only justification is the licensing more or less. I like what they make but I don't collect Super7 because their pricing is so prohibitive.
I do overall like Super7, their Classics Snake Mountain and Thundertank is fantastic! Their MOTU stuff was very good. I do think that going forward they need to lower their prices and improve articulation on the figures. Double joints should now be the standard. Brian should really take into consideration constructive criticism from their customer base, not to be insulting or name calling as that accomplishes nothing.
I'm ok with S7. I collect Silverhawks and Thundercats, and the only problem was with Tygra and his orange over sprayed abs. I agree that if another company took over and started fresh I to would be out. As for G.I. Joe, I'll stick with Hasbro .
I'm all about toon. So, Super 7 was a no-brainer. If. IF I get back into collecting a new version of GI Joe, super 7 is the way to go. But at $55 each, I don't know. Classified is fine, but not the asthetic I'm looking for.
i’ll give super 7 their flowers; when it comes to an animated characters head sculpt, they’re the best. Simpsons, silverhawks, GI Joe, MOTU they’re all beautiful and accurate. Their real people sculpts are pus. Major Wrestling Figure podcast, sh*t. Talkin Shop, Sh*t, motörhead, NJPW, ALL ARE SH*T! The one truth is; B Flynn lies, deflects, waxes lyrical and plays the little engine that could gimmick.
Toy companies are self correcting for the over production that occurred during the pandemic. Many who will wait for Big Lots sales and markdowns are going to be disappointed for not preordering or buying when they see them, which is fine with me. You snooze, you lose. I love how S7 newer products are shipping faster and those who bought from them directly are getting it first.
Im also collecting the 80s Commanders from Ramen Toy and they look so good. When Mattel dropped the ThunderCats line after a year I sold all their figures since Ivwas disappointed of having such an incomplete collection. After Super 7 made two waves of ThunderCats then I decided to get it in that collection. Thats one if the reason I will not do Mezco ThunderCats. 😃💡👍☕️
Love the 80s commanders! I did not start collecting Thundercats til S7 announced they were doing Thundercats. I bought a collection of Mattel for around $100 for almost all of them so it was perfect timing
I've always thought some of Super 7 is cool to look at but never bought anything. I did come close to chasing the MOTU 3 3/4th cause they somehow hit my He-Man/ Dragonriders of the Styx nostalgia button. I've been hoarding Final Faction for a few years for some big backyard battles, but it looks like Dollar Tree has abandoned the line. I'm always looking for low priced troops (Temu is not the answer lol). I never saw the Lanard Star Troopers line and damn if if did I'd have a bin full of it.
I don’t consider it shilling it just simply I like the product. I’m all in on the ThunderCats and ninja turtles line but I did pick up a few G.I. Joe’s because they looked cool. And that’s the main take away. Do you like what you bought and wasn’t worth Your cash? If it’s yes to both of those then screw it get it last note I love almost everyone of my ThunderCats. I just wish Tygra had a better paint job.
Super 7 is suffering losses because they won’t change their ways. Inflation is real right now. Drop the excessive accessories we don’t need to drop the price by at least 10 bucks. Thundercats wave 8 that I have in hand seems to have gotten downsized. If the rest of the wave of Thundercats is like this,I’m done with that line. I’m still hanging on to Silverhawks because their wave 3 was great. The next wave needs to be all new characters.
What i am waiting for super 7 to do is tiger sharks and inhumanoids this one i thnk they will come out great since i like them when they do big toys or playsets like the snakemountain that one is astonishingly great
There was a reddit post saying Brian would not get final say, investors were not happy and forcing double jointed knees and elbows on TMNT. The joke is I am the biggest Shill and it may even bet true
I've got to admit, those SilverHawks all together do look pretty good. I messed up not going all in on this line waiting on the chrome ones. Those collection shots look real good. Super7 does make great stuff. The only thing I hate is how quick they go on clearance and the price tag. Regardless I'll still buy day 1 to support the cause. That black baroness is nice. Love RamenToy. Makina line is awesome.
2024 onwards will be an epic landmark in toys collecting. S7 will introduce vac metal and double joints!!!!!!!!!!!! If they keep this up .... they r on the verge of discovering drop down hips!!!!!
I noticed that you don't have Ghost Jaga Mike? Nice collection. I have most of thise still in their boxes with the exception of the ThunderCats... I will have to make a video to show you. I like Super 7 since the motu days. Not sure on the double joints for the turtles 2003 but it doesn badder me. 😃💡👍☕️
yeah Classified is definitely playing games and its BULL when Emily acts like the company doesnt know which direction to go in because there is no TV show or game out now. Go ARAH and you wont fail. Go O Ring style and you wont fail. I STILL dont have a real Roadblock. After the video game style didnt do what they wanted they should have gone Full ARAH and did retro as the O ring. I got retro Duke, but he still looks too young for me.
