My problem is why both of them can't do a thing without saying or telling the whole world about it.

The S500 is a mix of the 300/400 and is still part of those system its not a stand alone system built from the ground up it will have a success to failure rate the same or worse than the S400 the only ground breaking system was the S300 which was build from the ground up by the former USSR, Russia hasn't produced since the 80's under the Soviet Union.

Definately, S400 isn't even able to hit ballistic missiles or drones in shorter distances, let alone these huge distances, that's a joke. Turkey tested it.

@@briant5685 makes no sense, the drones going 80 mph vs a missile going over Mach 2. Impossible from the point if the laws of physics alone. Second the Patriot system is meant to take out air threats like drones, planes missiles not vice versa drones aren’t meant to take out missiles inflight.

Yea it's basically just some fancy but pretty useless upgrades mainly like able to target satellites or use hypersonic missiles etc. But we've seen with S400 that it can't even intercept ballistic missiles or drones.. So even the S500 won't last.

Plus that incident was way before the Ukraine war, yet Russia has not learned and adapted to that mistake of Suadi Arabia. @@rogerwilco5918 with radars being destroyed at this rate it does not matter if they have s400, s500 or even the still on the paper idea of a S700. They'll be much to blind to a swarm attack of drones, atacms, and scalp EG / stormshadows; maybe even to the ukrainian's modified s-200 and s-300 missiles (config Ground to Ground)

@@rogerwilco5918 no I didn't, Harm missiles are to be used just for the radars, the other stuff, launchers and others (I was also with the Kerch bridge on mind) are not to be targeted with HARM missiles. But yeah, if not intercepted they'll be great to aim for Russian radars, like the ones on S-300 and S-400 systems (but not only). Cheers

I was made to believe that hypersonic missiles aren't always fired to travel hypersonic speeds. Russia is acutely aware that each hypersonic launch gives America one more opportunity to study it and figure out how to neutralize it. So in most cases the same missiles are used at sub-hypersonic speeds to put off American counter intelligence.

@@bekisiphotshili2566 You are correct, the Zicron has to slow down to Mach 5 in order to get an accurate fix on the target, at this point it becomes vulnerable to shoot down. When the Zicron is traveling at its fastest the Russians claim a plasma cloud forms around it making it undetectable, however that same plasma cloud makes it blind so it has to slow down to shed the cloud.
