Cold War 2.0 or Hot Peace 1., whatever one wants to call it, we are all already there and have been now for some time. I recall seeing a broadcast on CNN last year where Fareed Zakaria was asking if the world was heading towards a new Cold War, and how it could be prevented, and thinking that it was already a de facto state of affairs and how posing the question only affirmed to me that the public in the west is now only just becoming aware of the changing nature of the world they are living in. In any case, bolstering US strength in Europe is a positive and necessary step as was the decision to withdraw from INF; these are simply unfortunate outcomes but acknowledge the reality that America was the only party abiding by the agreement where Russia felt it could violate its constraints at a whim and the treaty was not inclusive of the reality as it is presented to us when the treaty was abandoned or today. However, Moscow and Beijing have basically turned to gaslighting as their favored response when confronted with an unfavorable outcome of their own making, and this is going to be no different. I spent several years volunteering as a crisis responder connecting SA, child abuse, and neglect/endangerment victims to services and LE and the behavior of Putin and Xi Jinping is very much what one would expect from criminal minded individuals that are confronted with the possibility of being held responsible for their actions. To quote one of the training aids I received "they all use dishonesty to deny the experiences of the other and reinforce that the problem lies with them, rather than the abuser. Gaslighting is the action of repetitively (and often brazenly) lying to someone to manipulate, and ultimately control them and the relationship. It could be divided into four different types: outright lying, manipulation of reality, scapegoating and coercion."
Since the PL-17 offers the Chinese the same range characteristics and flies faster - I doubt they have much concern over the AIM 174. To be competitive, the US really needs to catch up. The problem with that is greedy corporations basing their performance off profits, and not functionality.
Cockreil 105 mm gun can fire ATGM missiles, so additional ATGM launcher need not to be integrated with the tank, and it can be replaced by loitering munitions launcher and anti swarm drone system (CDS)
This tanks are made to work in Himalayas where top notch western equipments stops working... For ex. India made its own attack helicopter to operate at the height of 21000 feet in Himalayas..coz US made Apaches can't operate above 10000 feet.
Western troll spotted! Before the Ukraine war this troll would cheer India on in this very site . But after the strategic neutrality of India now this troll takes the opportunity to only criticize simply because the trolls feelings were hurt.
What to notice about India's new tanks (Arjuna) is that they have a 120 mm rifled tank gun (NATO) and not a 125 mm (Russia) Zorawar LT Cockerill 105 mm high-pressure rifled gun (NATO)
The original design has been so radically changed that program has been greatly slowed. They seem to have learned little from the fiascos of the while elephant Zumwalts and the absolute disasters of both LCS classes. The idea that they will be a mature design before construction is ludicrous.
