Yeah! Other than that, imagine if no one make the future crossover game with roster of over 100 IPs/franchises, then I'll do it myself 1st But at first, I'll make my own future indie games before that, because it's so ambitious it feels like it's a wet dream in the 1st place 😅
My favorite part of the game is the fact that it feels like straight up warfare, theres voice chat so theres frequently people screaming and giving orders/communicating and also giving enemies locations away, theres explosion and sounds of helicopters and cars everywhere, shots and destruction too. Its awesome and also just so fun.
aw man the voice chat is not good news for me, was never a fan listening to toxic kids screaming their heads off in ranked apex. You CAN toggle it off, right?
@@SuryaGupta-te7fqyes you can. But I strongly recommend you don't. It's not toxic most of the time and devs literally ban people for this stuff. Report system works well. Also it plays best when you coordinate your actions with your team, so playing with voice chat off is going to limit your experience.
@@SuryaGupta-te7fqI have almost never had a toxic person in vc. I recall 1 kid and 1 toxic person, both I muted within a few minutes. The voice chat is really well moderated and super well maintained.
I'm happy for the devs, they were working on this for years and years. I don't care about this kind of games, but it warms my heart the fact that these dvs are winning in life. Now we need a documentary about their whole journey.
As someone who played during the play tests I can't agree more, we told them what we wanted changed, they looked and decided yes we will change this (mostly in reference of how long it took to level up, but other things too)
Don't forget also, it use to be 20$ but the devs lowered the price to 15 so more people could get it. They are looking at maybe lowering it more so it can be more accessible.
not only that, even price adjusted it for some regions, and further added more countries an hour after the launch, which AAA devs wont even think of.0+
@@austinbatton4849 Not everyone has that kind of money dude, i remember as a kid sometimes i would have to wait until birthdays to get games, thats how it is for a lot of people.
10:10 The devs said in a recent interview that the sounds aren't final. The game launched with preexisting sounds from a library, but I heard they're having new sound recorded with help from Garand Thumb.
Devs are a bunch of cool guys. they would pop into streams occasionally and ask what guns we would want to see and things like that. they truly cared. happy for their success!
I couldn't even begin to think of all the incredible FPS games I'd have to put down on a list from the last 10 years. Holy crap you've missed out, particularly the rise of indie boomer shooters.
@@cenciende9401Yeah this is extremely true and this game isn't anything impressive to me. But what do I know? Some people only seem to play games from the same franchise?!
its all just fake stremer hype, this poop will die in few weeks, people act like half of the mechanics are something new while 2000-2005 era games had ammo management like that, local voip isnt anything new too
Honestly yes the 3 guys that did this deserve all the good press that they are getting. Not to mention the fact that with this much success they'll have the money and maybe more time to create another game or continue developing this one
@@stephen-ng They don't seem like the kind of people to get bought out. For a couple of indie developers, the money they've already made is enough to live on for the rest of their lives. They get financial security plus the ability to work on the game they want, I don't see what they would gain from selling.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the incredible global VOIP. I have had some amazing moments talking with allies and enemies alike. There's nothing like standing in spawn with 126 other people and everyone starts erupting into incoherent monkey noises.
Battlebit has that same grip on me that BF1 used to. Starting out not having an idea what to do and just dying a whole lot, then a week later being completely invested in it.
The reload mechanics and ammo management is what Ive been asking for a BF like game. It’s honestly a breath of fresh air, coming from an insurgency sandstorm player. Tho I hope they tone down the movement speed a bit. Maybe custom modded servers in the future perhaps?
It was supposed to be a milsim game and the roadmap has a milsim gamemode in plan so the reloading and other milsim elements are both leftovers and intended to stay. After a little practice you will be very accurate at knowing how much shots you have left in the mag just from the icon on the bottom right. Urges a little more tactical approach to your ammo management than just raw numbers, imo.
My favorite thing about this game (from what I've seen) is that every player gets to choose how seriously they want to take it. If you want to go full milsim and have a completely realistic (aside from the graphics lol), tactical experience, the game gives you all the tools for that. But if you want to scream in voice chat all game, ride around in vehicles, and bottom frag every game while having a good time with your new squadmates, the game is designed for that too. Nobody cares about winning or losing in this game because they're just having too much fun to care. I've been an Overwatch player for years, but I always hated how the game just wasn't fun if you were losing. I'm definitely switching over to this game as soon as I have some money to spare for it.
@@whateverusername You are completely right! Seriousness and hillarity meets hard in this game. Once I grabbed a dropped enemy's body after capping a point and began dragging him around. Dude was screaming bloody murder in the mic and kept yelling at me that he did not consent to this and I should drop him immediately. I laughed myself to tears.
@@whateverusernamevery much reminds me of tf2, where you could run around as a scout and clap cheeks and top frag every game, or you could sit around with your friends as sandwich heavies and people watch lmao.
@@whateverusernamedude you have exactly the atttitude thats going to make you a good player at this. i LOVED the playtests. it brought emotions i had playing halo 3 as a kid out. its incredible. and it feels incredible. if you get it add me i play every day lmao. best 15 ive ever spent in my entire life. imagine playing bf2042.. half as many players per match.. no voip. my name in game is nickg0413. i like to play medic with a good AR and build outposts with sandbags and just rack up the kills on people trying to flank
very surprised you didn't say anything about the voip, I feel like that is another massive part of this game. Also the fact that Battlebit supports a bunch of different playstyles from the battlefield genre. if you wanted to fly a heli the whole game and just be a transport you could do that the entire game and still get rewarded with a nice chunk of xp.
I do like some of the hard core mechanics in BattleBit, they add a sense of realism to a simple game. Also it makes you think and use tactics which can pay off and is satisfying if you're planning ahead. All and all can't wait for this to be on console
I will say I absolutely LOVE the reload mechanic. Feels like a good gamification of a valid battle concept of tactical reload vs an emergency reload. Medic having Claymores is way too many and too stacked on the class, wish those were for support only personally.
Nothing like having over 100 players storm a check point. Just sitting with a scope watching the battle play out is hypnotic. It would be nice when they get the tutorial area be a little more practice area and helicopters there but i can be patient with them. Keep up the awesome work. 🤘
modern guns use magazines, not clips... unless you are shooting an SKS or an M1 Garand, there is very little chance that you are using a clip fed firearm. Revolvers use cylinders, and some guns use belts, shotguns use a tube, and single shot weapons just have a chamber. Everything else uses a magazine.
@@mondaymurder23 just because some gangsters call their extendos a "banana clip" does not mean that they are correct... you can also call a Beta-C a "tit mag"... or a p-mag a "poo-mag". A clip is internal, a magazine is external.
Love the gun play in this game. The different reloads. Magazines aren't shared and you have to take your time to load them. The recoil is perfect. The bullet goes exactly where the barrel is pointing!!!!
Gameranx is the best channel on RU-vid for me. They are consistent af and I look forward to watching their videos every time they upload. Good job Gameranx. Your hosts are the goats too. This channel is much better than other large gaming channels. Keep it up
BattleBit isn't battlefield. It just mixes the best of all fps titles. The gunplay of insurgency sandstorm, the movement and gun progression of cod, the milsim features of arma and squad, and the destruction and player counts of battlefield. BattleBit just brought all these ingredients together and cooked us gamers a wonderful meal. Plus it's cheap!
Thank you, I'm so perplexed by the comments that keep saying it's perfect Battlefield gameplay, especially some comments claiming it reminds them of BC2 are really weird. It's so much more of a Battlefield realism mod than core Battlefield.
Three people? THREE PEOPLE!!! Unbelievable! I'm just.... speechless, both at the amazing job these guys did and the incredible incompetence of Dice and EA!
The devs deserved all the cash they received. I also discovered that I suck playing battlefield style games. I die a lot, I can't spot enemies easily, miss my shots a lot, runs a lot without any action all the same again but with more fun.
That reloading system is definitely something I’d like to keep. It’s a fun mechanic and and doesn’t feel gimmicky at all. I think it’s a great Milsim feature. Makes the support class useful too with ammo drops
Its great to see Battlebit doing as well as it is. It'd be nice if EA can take a look at this and use it as a wakeup call for the original series but more than likely, they'll just try to turn it into a lawsuit, knowing corporate EA
I’ve been seeing tons of battlebit vids…at first I thought damn, they must have went nuts on advertising….but if I guess people are really playing and having fun with it
Not only do you very quickly get used to the graphics, you can run the damn thing on a potato. That has a HUGE advantage to getting the player base way up. On my 6800xt at 4K I easily hit a consistent 200+ FPS. But aside from performance, its truly is such a fun game and surprisingly tactical for more hardcore players. I spend one 64 v 64 round holding a flag with my squad on top a roof building a base and re-building/repairing fortifications, reviving, healing, ammo replenishment, fighting off waves of enemies coming from all directions including helicopters with dudes repelling on to us .. It was FUCKING EPIC! I love this game and thats coming from a diehard old skool Battlefield player with a mix of Squad and other tactical games. Just BUY IT!
This game is a nice reminder to the industry that at its core, gameplay is the most important element to attract players. Everything starts with gameplay. Games that aren't very intensive are also a W since they can be played by a wider player base.
I fully support this game and sometimes have an amazing time playing it. I will say it makes me frustrated because the ttk is out of nowhere and it feels like you have no time to react. With some tweaks it could feel as good as the old battlefields.
Have to say really enjoying the game and I quite like the reload mechanic its realistic and makes you aware of every bullet you're shooting. The rezing is brilliant and most people will help you up . Hear the devs saying they might change it as its a bit OP for the medic hope they don't change it too much.
Happy that games like this exist to show AAA companies that fun and a finished product should be their 1st priorities. This is the definition of doing the right thing at the right time😅
As a fan of older battlefield, BattleBit has hit JUST right for me. It's not a carbon copy as far as I can tell; it takes inspiration and modification from other titles, but it plays enough like old school battlefield that it makes games SO much fun
That game is definitely the perfect example for "Lobour of love". They put the fun over monetization and the crowds reacted accordingly. Something I feel a lot of AAA forgot along the way.
Ibplayed during the testing phase and MAN it was beautiful! Once i get a good enough paycheck in buying the supportor package because i believe in this games progress. I once hear in prox chat a guy telling the enemy, you stay away from my ramen noodles!" The other guy said,"*insert slurping noise*. They both died due to both chucking grenades. It was awesome
The "Main" reason this game became so popular so fast is because of content creators and youtube lets be honest which is the reason why most people gave it a try to begin with is because of the "Popularity". The great gameplay of the game is why people continue to play it and the game became a success. But if its only one thing this game lacks it's the graphics, not everyone wants a roblox kid looking war game but the gameplay is very well done. (Battlefield developers take notes now this can be your redemption moment)
Some says, and it still make sense about nothing beats old school game. When we talk about nostalgic matters, and the gameplay too. Then this happened, and we could still says "graphics doesn't matters".
It’s like they took DICE’s Battlefield and Mahjong’s Minecraft, crunched them together and threw out everything bad about the modern Battlefield games. I approve👍.
I just picked it up last night and only had a little time to play before I had to go to bed, but it's really fun and the voip makes it hilarious, can't wait to spend some real time in it, the old battlefield series were my favorite games, so I'm glad that this came out
One reason why I like the games graphics is how low end friendly it is. Someone finally got that if you want a game that requires a massive player count to work then make sure it is widely accessible.
I would say it's more of an "Acarde Squad-Battlefiled with Roblox visual game" than just a Battlefiled-Roblox game since the movement and gameplay feels and plays more like Squad
When the AAA Publishers are pursuing Realistic Graphics and stuff. They tend to not realize that 1. Not all the playerbase has a PC with Specs high enough to enjoy the beauty at Ultra Settings. 2. A lot of the players actually want a Bug free, Fluid gameplay experience 3. A lot of people, myself included prefer function over form. Just like the case of Battlebit. Does it come close to BF in terms of graphics? Nah. Would I play Battlebit over BF? Anyday.
This is uncanny. I swear I've played this or something similar a few years ago. At highschool one of the boys put up a secret folder in the year folder of games he brough from home and one of them was just battlefield with roblox-like graphics that I liked to play around in on free days. Maybe it is the same one. That'd be cool.
@@Anarqism wasn't unturned because I played that too at home but I remember it more specifically than this other one. I think it was probably this game but what puts doubt is that he said it used to be much more tactical/realistic gameplay. I don't remember it being particularly realistic, literally just like this now except it was against bots and the maps were maybe a bit smaller.
I gotta say, now that I've put over 100 hours into it, it's all the fun parts of Battlefield without all the hangups EA had trying to compete with Call of Duty. It's the basics done to perfection. I'm not a graphics junkie but I think it does hold the title back a little. There is a lot to forgive due to the simplicity, price, and the fact it's early access. Worth a buy, anyone that says otherwise is brain damaged.
got it day before and put in 31hrs alreaady.....def worth the money cant wait for the future progress of this game....i like the reloading system, makes it feel more like your in war
Dammit. I tried the game yesterday for an hour, I did not like it because I felt like I was constantly spawning and dying, and was not having fun because of that. But it is nice to know that other people feel that way as well sometimes. I may give it another try, but only if my friends get it as well. I do like the squad size in the game.
the community in this game (due to proximity voice chat) has made this game a joy to play. This said, the only improvement I would suggest to devs is SFX variation--especially for ricochets (which sound like dimes thrown against metal). Hearing the same noise over and over despite different environments can grow to be grating.
I didn't know that I needed this game in my life. I haven't played a bf since BF3 over 10 years ago I loved playing medic or engineer whatever it was called. This game reminds me of Delta Force Land Warrior, that was my first experience of online fps, team king of the hill was awesome
This game is so fucking good I cant state how good it really is. Every game that came out in the past 5 years wasnt even that fun. This game litterally scratches that part of your brain that you TRULY wanted all these years.
The community wants a hero shooter, with ai bots, a battle-pass, large empty maps, and a slew of bugs. Oh and get rid of server selection and the scoreboard" - A EA executive probably
For helicopter, just rebind yaw to mouse left-right and and pitch to mouse up-down. Basically where you look is where the heli nose will point. Then bind roll to AD and collective to WS. And voila, helicopter pro in no time.
I love that vehicles have a max health decrease after taking damage so you can't fix them to full over and over. You lose some of that max HP taking damage. And the bleed out. Sooo much better than battlefield.
Battlebit is what I bought during the summer sale and I love it for its casualness. It hits all the right marks. I also have Squad (bought during the summer sale too) for my serious military sim like moments. Both these games beat whatever DICE has for 2042 and thats saying something.
As early access as it sounds, I like night battles. Its cool beacuse all of a sudden, it turns into a completely different game. Snipers all of a sudden cant quickscope, and are forced to camp out alot more. Classes have to play more tactically too, because long range fights carry alot more risk/reward. Almost entirely becaues you cant use certain scopes with the NVG
Looks really fun. If I had a PC I woukd definitely buy it. Congrats to the devs on their success. They litterally said "Man, the new Battlefield games aren't any good. Let's make one!"
Im a game developer. I love seeing low poly games become successes. Low poly graphics is just so much easier to manage in the project especially if you're working by yourself. It is just better from top to bottom. Download times are faster, faster import of assets if you're moving around for editing, faster game testing. Working with next gen is such a pain in the butt and takes 20x+ the time to work with. I have not downloaded this game. But im sure it does not take up anywhere close to 200 gigs like these other games do and the download times for some players could take days and thats if they have the space.Even so, a lot of people with high end computers sacrifice space to save money and end up only being able to play 1 or 2 games at a time. This will all help this game right now since it's being hyped and people can download it fast. The games also cheap. Its an interesting success story. Its hard for AAA companies to risk making this kind of game with low poly graphics to. So the little guy(s) will always have a shot.
with brother were gamers af.. very high standarts.. i was like what u grabbin this summer sale.. he was like battlebit maybe idk feelin cute.. i was like okay feedback me later.. 5 minutes in the game hes like: "buy" its like real battlefield.. i havent seen my family since
